Just tell me John Beaton isn’t involved in any officiating capacity. Looking for a Shankland double. That would be enough for the jambos win.

He's not. Kevin Clancy is the ref and there's no sign of Beaton listed on the VAR team.

As for the game, if we play anywhere as poorly like we did last week then Hearts will steamroller us. I'd be delighted with a point but I can only see a home win. Our mix of injured and misfiring frontline won't be enough to worry Hearts. I am looking forward to see what kind of sitter Shields misses this week, it'll take something to beat last weekends. 2-1 Hearts.

  2. Massive game that I expect to be quite physical. We're in a bit of a slump and if we're to come out of it before the World Cup starts in a few weeks then a win is needed here. I see Aberdeen fans saying given their away form and the recent history between the 2 sides suggest a home win but I just can't see it. We're really struggling with injuries and are likely having to play the same players for the 3rd time in 6 days so I reckon it's got 1-1 all over it, with us inevitably conceding first and only scoring after getting a penalty after missing a couple of sitters.

    Kelly's distribution is fckn woeful.

Aye it really is. The amount of times on Sunday in particular he kicked it straight out for a throw in was ridiculous. He also makes me quite nervous with the amount of time he's seems to take with getting rid of a backpass when the opposition is charging him down which then either goes out for a throw in or it's too short and gives possession straight back to the opposition in our half.

  4. As said by everyone it's a ridiculous time of kick off. Football should never be kicking off at 6:15. I've got no hope whatsoever for this game if I'm being completely honest. I never thought I'd be saying this at the start of the season but we missed Efford at the weekend so I'm hoping he's back as his redemption arc continues. If he is back then I hope we start him and McKinstry and not Shields in place of McKinstry.

For anyone interested, Don Robertson is the ref for the game.

The change is obviously someone for Shields, could be McKinstry or Moult in a forward position or Cornelius to bolster the midfield, not clear on Spittal’s fitness.

Or the extra man could be Mugabi in the back 3, or O’Donnell as wing back.

    Options

I forgot Shields is out of tomorrows game. I like the idea of McKinstry playing but think Tierney will get the nod instead.

What’s the general thinking about these next three games in a week? I’ve talked myself into the view that there’s no chance we lose all three but I’m not sure which I’d rather win. We all know how long it’s been for a win over Rangers and it would obviously be hilarious if we beat them on Sunday after the other night, Celtic is the League Cup and I’d say we’d have an excellent chance of winning it if we get through this round (based on nothing in particular) and beating Aberdeen is always funny because they’ve been our bitches for so long now.Β

On balance it’s probably the Celtic game but definitely wouldn’t want to pick up zero points from the two league games. Β

If I had to pick 1 game to win of the 3 it's the Celtic cup game. We'd been in the semifinal and would have a great chance at winning it.

  7. I was planning on going to this but I'm still really not well (not Covid) so will do with watching at home.

Expecting a scrappy close game if I'm honest. I expect a couple of changes to be made. Penney and McKinstry (assuming he's fit again) to come in with Rolando on the bench. If McKinstry isn't fit and Rolando is then start him instead.Β SOD back at RB with McGinn and either Lamie or Sol as the CB pairing.
