We badly need a win here but given the low confidence and amount of injuries we have I've got a feeling it'll be another loss. 2-0 United with Watt inevitably getting both after we miss a sitter to take the lead and another to equalise.

I've just read that Andrew Dallas is in charge of the VAR for tomorrow
Euan Anderson is the regular ref.

Massive game that I expect to be quite physical. We're in a bit of a slump and if we're to come out of it before the World Cup starts in a few weeks then a win is needed here. I see Aberdeen fans saying given their away form and the recent history between the 2 sides suggest a home win but I just can't see it. We're really struggling with injuries and are likely having to play the same players for the 3rd time in 6 days so I reckon it's got 1-1 all over it, with us inevitably conceding first and only scoring after getting a penalty after missing a couple of sitters.

Kelly's distribution is fckn woeful.
Aye it really is. The amount of times on Sunday in particular he kicked it straight out for a throw in was ridiculous. He also makes me quite nervous with the amount of time he's seems to take with getting rid of a backpass when the opposition is charging him down which then either goes out for a throw in or it's too short and gives possession straight back to the opposition in our half.

As said by everyone it's a ridiculous time of kick off. Football should never be kicking off at 6:15. I've got no hope whatsoever for this game if I'm being completely honest. I never thought I'd be saying this at the start of the season but we missed Efford at the weekend so I'm hoping he's back as his redemption arc continues. If he is back then I hope we start him and McKinstry and not Shields in place of McKinstry.

For anyone interested, Don Robertson is the ref for the game.

Spittal out too! Jesus Christ!
I've just noticed Spittal is missing as well. On the positive side.... McKinstry is getting a start.

The change is obviously someone for Shields, could be McKinstry or Moult in a forward position or Cornelius to bolster the midfield, not clear on Spittalβs fitness.
Or the extra man could be Mugabi in the back 3, or OβDonnell as wing back.

I forgot Shields is out of tomorrows game. I like the idea of McKinstry playing but think Tierney will get the nod instead.

Whatβs the general thinking about these next three games in a week? Iβve talked myself into the view that thereβs no chance we lose all three but Iβm not sure which Iβd rather win. We all know how long itβs been for a win over Rangers and it would obviously be hilarious if we beat them on Sunday after the other night, Celtic is the League Cup and Iβd say weβd have an excellent chance of winning it if we get through this round (based on nothing in particular) and beating Aberdeen is always funny because theyβve been our bitches for so long now.Β
ΒOn balance itβs probably the Celtic game but definitely wouldnβt want to pick up zero points from the two league games. Β
If I had to pick 1 game to win of the 3 it's the Celtic cup game. We'd been in the semifinal and would have a great chance at winning it.

Has there been any update on the injury/knock Spittal picked up against Hibs and if he'll be out for any amount of time?

I'd drop KVV for at least one of the Old Firm double header. He's never really shown up against either of them, Moult seems to relish the occasion.
I'd start Moult against Celtic. Hart seems to have at least one mistake a game in him at the moment and I'd fancy Moult to score from a mistake more than KVV right now.

No complaints about the red card. It was fucking stupid decision making by Shields. The guy should have been taken off at halftime.

Don't think any of us at halftime saw this finishing 5-0 but what a turnaround and result. I thought Penney was great tonight as well. Van Veens finishing for his 3rd was great.

Does that goal put us into 6th?

Can Mackay survive this?

Yes bazooka Joe!!

Would like to see Van Veen and Moult both start this game, see what they can offer before hooking Moult after an hour. I think we'll just about scrape this, 2-1.

I thought we played well, on another day we could be leaving with a point and going by that today there's no reason to believe we can't win when they come to Fir Park for the League Cup game on the 19th.

Just hoping we don't get battered. I'm hoping Slattery is back so our midfield is a bit more solid and we don't have play Maguire.

Nope. Let the football continue to be on so we can have an escape away from the same repetitive news loop that will be shown for the next week - 10 days.

Wasn't sure about the return of Moult but now it's all I want.... bring him home Hammell!!

I was planning on going to this but I'm still really not well (not Covid) so will do with watching at home.
Expecting a scrappy close game if I'm honest. I expect a couple of changes to be made. Penney and McKinstry (assuming he's fit again) to come in with Rolando on the bench. If McKinstry isn't fit and Rolando is then start him instead.Β SOD back at RB with McGinn and either Lamie or Sol as the CB pairing.

I'm expecting the team to be unchanged, wish I was going as Killie is a good away day. 2-0 Van Veen and Spittal.

Hearts vs Motherwell 6th November

He's not. Kevin Clancy is the ref and there's no sign of Beaton listed on the VAR team.

As for the game, if we play anywhere as poorly like we did last week then Hearts will steamroller us. I'd be delighted with a point but I can only see a home win. Our mix of injured and misfiring frontline won't be enough to worry Hearts. I am looking forward to see what kind of sitter Shields misses this week, it'll take something to beat last weekends. 2-1 Hearts.
