When Partick played Rangers at Ibrox in last years cup, the tickets were priced at £22 so I’d imagine they’ll be the same. There hasn’t been a higher concentration of scumbag mutant c***s in one building than Ibrox since the Nuremburg trials. I can understand folk not wanting to go as there’s so many stories over the years of folk being hit by stuff and drenched in (probably infected) pish. I’d still love to see us take 2000 though but I don’t think we will.

Would take: Aberdeen, Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, Bonnyrigg, Cove/Brora, St Mirren, Motherwell Will cry if: Livingston, Partick, Airdrie, Morton, Inverness Split on getting Killie because on one hand, it’s an occasion to look forward to in this shite season but on the other hand, we’d be lucky to get a shot on target.

If someone could clarify what the identity of the ‘project’ is I’d like to know. What strategy are we going for to actually prepare ourselves for a future title push? What are we actually selling to the candidates in these interviews? I feel far too much of the hope and good outlook for the future from Smith’s construction side gets tangled up with this so called ‘project’.

That’s what I’m thinking. Of course the club has a duty to the community and they do plenty of outstanding work but that should never be more than a side project. They are a for-profit business whose main source of profit is winning football games. If the manager can’t win football games then it doesn’t matter if they’re fucking Gandhi, they’re not doing their job. By all means praise his work behind the scenes but don’t conflate that with him being successful at his job. He can be good at one and not the other.
