  1. Interesting that 1 complaint can result in this. Jermaine Jenas deeply upsets my well-being whenever I hear him, I will need to let the relevant authorities know.
  2. Agree with all this. I love the concept but it is becoming unlistenable these days. Games start and they launch into yet another debate on VAR until inevitably "Biscuits" screams down the mic because Hearts have won a corner. He is unbearable. Derek Ferguson was covering the Arbroath game where the sub keeper scored from 30 yards and he didn't feel the need to wail over everyone else. I feel there is only one way the programme is going though and it's a shame. It should be a great way of following ALL of the games going on in Scotland that day but it is a clown show.
  3. Agree with this. I think we will kick into gear (finally) and put a few past them tonight. Macdonald, Mcgarry, Barron in.
  4. I find myself agreeing with majority of this. Robson lack of squad usage is just plain confusing when he also bangs on about tiredness. Our general style of play has been my concern this season as we have no plan going forward that I can see. I'm still fully backing him though and let's hope this time on the training pitch that he harps on about, makes all the difference.
  5. Took a trip out to Larbert for the game on Saturday with a couple pals and was a tremendous day out. Station bar before the game and Crown bar on the way to the ground were both superb pre match boozers. We ended up in the away support for the first half but wasn't a big deal as was a pretty poor half but we had a close up of the only goal. Steward allowed us into the Wee Bar at HT which is ace but need to pre order your pints! Somehow we ended up down near the Stenny 'Ultras' in the 2nd half which added to the entertainment, very funny group of lads and fair play to them for trying to get an atmosphere going. Football was much better 2nd half and plenty action and goals. I actually thought the lad Jamieson played really well even though his goal he had no idea about. Stenny showed good grit to get back into it and snatch a win as they were pretty poor 1st half. Back to the 2 pubs on the way back were good again, although Station bar was heaving by 6pm Great day out and will definitely try and do again this season.
  6. My optimism paid off it seems! Much needed win and performance is a marked improvement on Sunday but that was hardly difficult. We benefitted massively from Motherwell being really poor. I am still frustrated at our set up and for the first 30 minutes it was Roos, Mackenzie, Gartenmann, Roos, Jensen, Devlin, Ross etc etc. Clarkson got on the ball and looked up to nothing ahead of him to aim for. After the first goal, Motherwell started to unravel and became quite easy for us. Positives - Clarkson was MOTM for me. Always trying something and some of his passing was brilliant. I honestly love Miovski, the work he does all game for often little return and just keeps plugging away. Someone questioned his attitude on this thread but that couldn't be further from the the truth, he is a real asset. Barron again came on and looked sharp, I would put him in instead of Polvara (who did fine) for Saturday. Negatives - Sloppy, sloppy defending for the 2 goals and Roos forgetting he is a keeper for the first. The boy Biereth up top for Motherwell is a real player by looks of it. Overall, good confidence boost and think we can take Hibs on Saturday but we will concede so need to put a good few past them as well. It has been said but the pitch was sensational last night. How it was in such good condition is beyond belief, hats off. The Steelworks was good as well before the game.
  7. Not much in the way of hope tonight but I think Robson realises he needs a reaction and needs to change things. If we come out and perform the same as we did against Killie then I struggle to get behind him. That was torture. Ever the optimist so let's go for 3-1 Dons, Sokler starting with Miovski and getting a goal.
  8. Aye it is open tonight for being tickets. I bought mine yesterday and picking them up there tonight. I was planning on going to that Steelworks bar, no colours on so hoping it will be fine.
  9. A must win on Matchday 2 seems pretty silly but has that feel for it if we have any aspirations in this competition. I think we will get the job done tonight - 3-1 win. Interested to see the line up and if Robson tweaks the midfield again, possibly Barron and Duk back in for Polvara and Clarkson maybe? Good to have options anyway. Can see it being a nervy affair until we seal it when Sokler makes it certain in the last 10! COYR
  10. I am confident we will put on another good showing on Thursday. Confidence will be sky high and there will be a real togetherness about them after the last few games. I agree it is a new test for Robson to be more attacking but I think the players will be up to it now.
  11. I usually park at the Macrobert building off St Machar drive. Isn't too bad for getting away afterwards either.
  12. I listened back to Sunday's episode and thought it was excellent. I like when it's Cosgrove to run the show and he definitely had the handbrake off. Not to everyone's taste but makes for much better listening IMO. You could hear David Currie running for cover when he said Roy Keane looked like an old tink. Brilliant.
  13. The idea of Kenny Miller being wheeled in to give his thoughts on the rugby would be absolutely hilarious. I am all for that.
  14. Great win yesterday and much better all-round performance. I thought we looked fairly comfortable all game which is a complete turn-up for the books after recent games. Ruby seems to be much more at ease with the Jensen and Gartmann on either side, not sure what in all means for Macdonald if he is fit though. McGarry injury looks like a pulled hammy so that's a good few weeks out which is a shame but we've cover so no massive issue. Barron was brilliant I thought, best game since he signed his Adidas deal, great to see it paying off. Shinnie is going to tire this season I think but we have quite a few options in there now as well so we should cope. Duk has found his mojo again, much more confident and direct in his play and you could tell his goal meant a lot. Hopefully that starts a wee scoring run for him now. Everything has been said on Miovski, top class and adding 0's to his price tag when he inevitably leaves. Pape and Sokler didn't look like offering much late on though, Pape in particular seemed to be trying a bit too hard and looked clumsy. Let's see what Robson can do on Wednesday though. McKay will have learned from that and will make sure it doesn't happen again so we need to alter our approach as well.
