  1. Play offs are winnable, more about nerves on the day than ability. County have recent experience. Must avoid relegation spot!

I think it's still possible to stay in the league, but it's going to be very, very close and nerve wracking yet again.

Cowie has learned from managers at Watford, Cardiff, Wigan, Hearts etc as a player as well as his experiences here. Give him a chance.

As for relegation, if it happens, the championship with Falkirk back, Raith, Partick etc, it's entertaining, but I don't think we would be straight back up. County could be down for a while.

The Livi game is huge, for those that can afford it, this is not to be missed. Positive atmosphere will help the team. Win this, then see what happens

How many times have we heard that this season-player (insert name) should have scored. We have scored just 20 goals in 25 games.

I know, it's terrible. Brophy in the games I've seen still needs to get fitter. Remember the form he was in when he first arrived?

Murray at least tries 100% and could hit scoring form. White if he gets his confidence back... well I remember his hatrick last season away to Dundee United. What a match that was!

Next weekends match at home to Livingston is HUGE, although County are off form, I hope it's packed out with home fans. Want to avoid that bottom spot.

We have shipped 5 goals in 2 games and today we managed 3 shots on target and a paltry 2 corners, nothing has changed. This slide is only going one way.

OK, Dundee scored twice, yet they only had a mere 4 shots on target! Murray should have scored and it would have been a different game if he has. County had 17 shots off target to Dundee's 14. Possession pretty much level. Away too. Dundee are probably going to be top 6, on form and overall have been pretty good this season.

The worrying thing, is teams near us like St. Johnstone & Motherwell have a larger squads and don't have injuries to key players. Baldwin is a big miss, Randall too, remember Allardice?

An experienced head; like Mackay and Adams were? Why don’t we calm down for 5 minutes and stop blaming managers for every single defeat we suffer. Cowie has been sold the shortest of straws. He is dealing with some of the worst recruitment the club has seen since being in the top flight. The players clearly like him and respect him. Back him, for the love of god.

    Exact!

  5. Don't care how they do it, but a County win here would be massive!

I didn't think Dundee were that great in the infamous match in Dingwall, nor did I think it was that poor quality from either teams that day. Saw a lot worse in other matches put it that way. Dundee are safe and will be looking at top 6 finish so hope that brings complanency from them.

Would be ironic if it is a totalnclassic, end to end 3-4 victory to the Staggies. Can't say I'm confident, but you never know...

As I said earlier I would have taken 4-1. The 1 is the bonus, sort of, if Brophy and Murray can form a partnership (quickly), we could survive, our only hope is that we can score more than we fail to defend against the teams around us.

Yeah, totally spot-on. The team IS good enough to survive IMO, play offs or otherwise...

3-1 loss to an very in-form Rangers away from home isn't a disaster.

However bloody Aberdeen drawing with Well though could be problematic towards end of season. It's those kind of results that could relegate County...

You’d also think Motherwell would give Morton a doing,  wouldn’t you?

Certainly that Morton result puts things in perspective. Motherwell ain't that great as shown last night.

The County players downed tools in that Motherwell showing too. Despite who the manager is, don't like seeing that from the players. Hope Cowie can get them back onside, create the belief that the team is good enough to stay up. I think they are, despite what Adams said.

Putting it out there that I'm not comfortable with speculating about someone's condition or otherwise on a public forum.

Well I certainly wasn't doing it as a 'negative' attack on the person. In fact being on the spectrum in a LOT of industries is now considered a major asset. Times have changed. The interviews this time round were very unusual.

As for depression, who doesn't go through issues especially at this time of year! He certainly didn't sound or look happy. Was something promised in the deal before he signed that didn't materialise? I don't know. Was there also personal things going on, only he knows.

Also quite a few of the great managers had sometimes very odd behaviour, whether Brian Clough, Jim McLean, Alex Ferguson.

Anyway, onwards & upwards, I wish Adams well for the future and hope to see Don Cowie succeed.

  9. He could be on the autistic spectrum, Ausberger's or something. Definetly people skills issues sometimes. ADHD? May also not be in a good place mentally either. Doesn't look happy.

He was a great player though and we had good spells with him. Wish him the best.

It's over, he's gone. I think the players are good enough to stay up. A while to go yet. Don't forget even White can hit form, rarely!

  10. For an experienced manager, the Highlands is a VERY good selling point.

While I can imagine for young players, they want the nightlife and buzz of a city, so County overlooked or we alternatively have to overpay them.

However, for a manager, this is a very good gig! Staying up, even if via play off still possible. That and the scenery. Nice stadium & facilities too. Must be able to attract some with decent record and good ideas.

I don't think the players are as bad as Adams alluded too. That final interview just watched, FFS! The team can definately can stay up, just will be close again.

  11. As a neutral it will be interesting to see how Livingston do in their cup match away to Partick this Sat. Likewise Caley's match against to an off form Hibs (though they won't make it to the promotion play offs).

You see, my fear is that Livi pick up form at some stage. Their plastic pitch sure benefits them, they could catch us. I'd take a play off now.

Relegation is a real possibility, unless Adams can somehow make peace with the players and get them back on side. Really hope he does, last night was shocking but at least Motherwell played well and were on form. The same can't be said for St. Johnstone last weekend who were crap.

  12. Nobody is wanting Malky back, it was the correct decision to sack him.

However, the players appeared to still want to play for Malky. Whereas now, it looks like 'Mr. Motivator' Adams may have completely lost the dressing room.

It's difficult also expecting the new players to suddenly gel.

I'd settle for the play off place now tbh. Worried we could finish bottom. Hope I'm wrong.
