After failing to keep even Dumbarton interested in his abilities as a bench warmer, Garrity was subbed on in only three out of the last 18 league games - for added time only. It seems unlikely that he'll do anything between now and the end of his contract, other than be brought on to waste time.

I think that given the start we made that analysis is a bit downbeat.
We took eight points from the first eight games of the season, after exiting the cup in the group stages with defeats to seaside league stalwarts Clyde and Falkirk (on penalties). We eventually went on a good run after getting pumped off Partick, but last season could just as easily have been defined by the bad streaks we had.
Maybe I am just being pessimistic. I don't think we're a weak team, but I also don't think we'll be challenging at the pointy end next season and that's absolutely fine.

McGills and GC will have just payed a shite sponsorship rate
McGills were clearly generous enough in their sponsorship that we let their boy masquerade as a professional footballer for years.

If we had beaten Dundee (3-3) and Arbroath (1-1) we would have won the league. Shows how strong this squad is and I would say we've kept our best players.
A strong squad would have taken more than two points off Arbroath last season. We did well given the low budget we started with, but we did little more than stay in the mix as the teams around us conspired to shoot themselves in the foot.
I'm less optimistic about next season, but would be happy to finish middle of the table whilst others throw money they don't have for a playoff push.

Doesn't surprise me one bit that Hetherington's fitting in well with Dick Campbell's total football.
If you place value in statistics like this over results or position in the SPFL pyramid then you truly deserve McGlynn.

Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup Final ...... again!
Yes, credit where it's due, Caley's club secretary got the job done and completely outplayed Queen's Park's office.

This season exceeded my expectations.

This post also exceeded my expectations, what a load of pish.

Goal of the season, f**k me.

Cove can't really afford to sit back and wait for chances, given the importance of a win. That kind of game often suits Morton so I'm hopeful for a good result to close the season.
Wonder if Strapp will get another appearance or if Saturday at Cappielow was his last in a Morton kit.

Sheer dominance from start to finish f**k you Gretna B
Give it a rest with these absurd Gretna comparisons.
Gretna won the league.

Tremendous banter that ICT are getting into the final after initially losing to Queens Park.
I wonder what Leeann Dempster etc are thinking now?
The least Caley can do is send QP a nice thank you card.

They play great football though Falkirk to be fair. They try and play "the right way" much better than Cove did last night against Dundee for example. @RandomGuy.
Cove got a result. Falkirk won't. Thus Cove did it "the right way".

Is there really any need for that many stewards for the small band of Inverness fans?
Have you been in their thread in the championship forum? It's to protect them from themselves.

I don't think we have at all. Times have changed quite dramatically and we are fortunate to be able to look forward rather than back. Aye, it's all reliant on an individual to get us to a situation where we might eventually be able to generate enough income to be self sufficient, but it's a great opportunity that loads of clubs would love to have.
In fairness to QP, they've taken advantage of the backing and might end up with something to show for it. Whilst grateful for what Douglas Rae did for Morton, his firm grasp on the reigns left us with little to show for what was, at times, disproportionate backing. At least under community ownership we're beginning to make the right kind of moves on and off the pitch.

Also remember that Morton have nothing to play for so won’t exactly be busting a gut to win at Cove.
Morton can still make the playoffs and even if they don't, can still have a top half finish. If results don't go our way, though, I wouldn't underestimate the satisfaction of relegating Hartley as a motivator to close the season with a win.

If Raith won yesterday, they'd be three points behind Morton with a chance of finishing 6th - not really meaningless with pride and prize money to play for.

5th at worst as we'd finish above Inverness due to goal difference as they've now played 35.
Well spotted, apologies!

So Arbroath can still go down?
The club were really bigging this one up as the game they could ensure relegation survival.
10th place finish only if Accies win 17-0 against them. 9th a possibility though if Cove take 4 points from Dundee and Morton.

In true Ayr style, we could win next week, draw at Inverness and still be 5th
Whilst an unlikely possibility, those results can still get you 6th if Morton beat QP and Cove.
