  1. I've been in the bar in Dunfermline. Not on a match day but what a difference when a space is purpose built for bar isn't it?! I use the Muirton Suite a lot. I've got some opinions on that cause I've got opinions on bloody everything I know they're not going to massively change it but they could do with laying it out better to stop it ending up so packed you can't move and having queues that stretch half way across the room banging into you and your table while they try to squeeze past. Can take 20 mins to get served some weeks after 2 o'clock. Sometimes the pints are horrendous, especially when it first opens after an international breaks or period where we haven't played at home for a number of weeks. I wonder because if you're there early you're getting the same stuff in the lines from 2 weeks ago... Another gripe is the continued instance from the club it's "Home fans only" while constantly allowing bus loads of away fans in . One thing I will say is I like the staff, give or take it's the same group of folk working there most Saturdays and when it's quiet they make an effort to chat away and I've seen a few of them away from McDiarmid and they've said hello etc. Just thought it was important to say while I was moaning about it that they seem nice people!
  2. I'll put money on that being significantly more accurate than people's naked eye from a tv angle that isn't in line or the magical grass lines.
  3. I always had the impression the club has rings ran round them by Preston. Didn't Saints turned down their offer and say they wanted more £££? Preston then just went to his agent and said we'd have offered him ££££ a week and he was straight on the phone to the club saying he wants to go. Got the player to do their work for them. Original bid accepted.
  4. He "recently done things". What about even more recently being consistently useless? When does the covid season no longer become and excuse? It's like the two cups make everything else excusable. More than half of the covid season we weren't very good either. We've been crap pretty but consistently since. Do they actually attend games?
  5. What you'll find with those people though is is impossible the club can do wrong. The issue is all yours and it can't possibly be anything the club has done. Are you getting middle-aged mansplained? "The youth of today have no idea how bad it was in the past"
  6. The media out defending Cantwell today I see. Seen claims that that's a normal reaction of someone being hit in the face as well. If that happens the other way round we know the reaction. Masses of abuse.
  7. I've been to every game this season apart from our cup disaster and the recent trips to Ibrox and Celtic Park. I feel like I'm living in some alternative universe. we're struggling and already getting beat most weeks? We've conceded the first goal something like 18 times this season. We've got an appalling home record. We've only managed 2 wins this year and that was against a terrible Motherwell side who sacked their manager the following week and a United team who let's be frank on par or worse than last season's Dundee. Yesterday's first half wasn't us trying to be expansive? Other teams are playing much more entertaining football. Livi ripped us to shreds at McDiarmid. Kilmarnock did likewise in the first half with two skilful wingers. It's possible. Struggling to see how anyone can watch our current game plan and think it's as a good idea or that it's working because it hasn't worked very well for 2 years. A result every 5-6 games isn't some sort of vindication that Davidsons game plan works. Other managers have long since worked out how to play against us yet we continue to repeatedly try the same thing.
  8. People surely don't believe this after watching Killie play two up front with two very creative wingers that took the piss out of us at times. No other team in the league plays as negatively as Saints. Without question
  9. Don't even engage with them. The issue isn't that they want him to stay - that's their view. The issue is the complete shite they're talking to justify it. We've won 2 games this year.
  10. What do you think the decline in season tickets will be due to him still being here? I've seen quite a few saying they're thinking about not renewing but unsure if they'll stick to it. Definitely going to be some though. I can see there being a not insignificant increase to the price as well. 10%?
  11. That's the bit you picked up on? Of course it was. I just have an agenda against Rangers and their fans like everyone else in Scottish football apparently does remember.
  12. The debate online how the VAR line isn't straight really is something else. The margin for error for said line will be mathematically known like Hawkeye in tennis and be at a level where it's not worth thinking about. The only area of issue is the human placing the line. The level of paranoia around something like that could only come from football fans. Summed up by so many Rangers fans using the manually grass cut lines as irrefutable evidence the VAR is wrong. Peoples skepticism about VAR in general is resulting in nonsense like this.
  13. Is the managers persistence of using him as a target man for long balls despite the fact all the evidence constantly show he's not capable of it another example of stubbornness/an example of Davidson being a bit of a football caveman? Is he another John Collins/John Hughes type? THEO BIG, THEO HEADER BALL. The only time Theo showed anything was when he was found in those channel areas. Obviously we've not seen much of him but that looked where you may get some joy with him!
  14. Frankly, they can get to f**k. Do they even go to games? People defending that yesterday just shows they know absolutely nothing about football or they're just defending him now because they're unwilling to admit they were wrong so finding excuses to continually defend him. The fact they don't realise their argument of claiming "it's not Davidsons fault, the players aren't good enough" is just another example of why Davidson IS to blame because he signed all the bloody players just shows they don't have a clue. While yes not everything is Davidsons fault solely, players could have produced better in the first half etc he takes zero responsibility for anything, ever. No wonder people think he's arrogant. That's on top of his constant shite talk, remarks about being tactically flexible etc etc. All of it is absolute delusional. Probably just repeating the same debate but people continually defending the club like they suffer from Stockholm Syndrome is really frustrating. These people are the clubs acceptance of mediocrity in human form.
  15. Cammy Kerr at left wing back Since we'll play anyone in that position except Gallagher
  16. That's the key to all this though. The club think all of this is good/fine/acceptable because "we're going to finish 9th... What are they moaning about?" The club leadership don't harbour any ambitions to progress. This mediocrity is exactly what they're aspiring to achieve and they see success as not getting relegated. behind the scenes this season will be deemed another successful one. We've heard it all before from the leadership in the past. They aim to avoid relegation and anything else is a "bonus".
  17. Directly headed in? I can't think of any. Mitchell's one ricocheted into his path and he bundled it in and that's the only one I can think of from a free kick. It just again makes us easier to defend against because teams can keep a high line as they know we can't bend it into the gap between
  18. Can't answer on the stat but their delivery today was regularly right on the money so probably a large reason why. Saints delivery on the other hand... so much float nothing can be headed directly at goal
  19. The referees were told they weren't going to get to referee European ties anymore because we didn't have VAR... It absolutely is. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/scottish-referees-to-miss-out-on-europe-because-of-var-bn8sqkn9p https://www.scotsman.com/sport/lack-var-sees-scots-referees-miss-out-major-matches-1405050
  20. He got it so so wrong in dealing with their winger threat. Left both wing backs very isolated 1v1. He just allowed it to continue as well which resulted in Saints continually given away free kicks in the wide areas. We were often put under pressure by those free kicks as well. Brown was getting absolutely ruined, Mcleanan initially did okay but started to suffer the same fate as Brown. He won't learn though and will do the same again next time we play Killie because of his stubbornness.
  21. They did it right in front of him when they won a throw in as well. Mcleannan won the throw in. He stood there looking at the ball for a few seconds then walked away and left the ball for Stevie May to wonder over to take the throw in I know these are minor things I guess but it was Killie away not a great point at Celtic Park. If we've got ANY ambitions about making top 6 you need to actually try to win games.
  22. I've also got very little sympathy for the managers moaning about VAR. Like it's some mad suprise it's ended up a disaster. It had been a shambles in England from day 1, wasn't used as described, it had ruined the experience for fans and often didn't get the big calls right. Yet somehow they thought it would be different here VAR wasn't introduced for the good of the game. It was introduced for the good of the referees careers. Football needs to stop allowing the likes of business men & referees to decide how football operates because it'll eventually destroy football below the plastic TV fan football level. The new tier 5 colt League idea a prime example of business men and their shite ideas...
