  1. Gilmour rwb expected usual. Isn't working, he just isn't capable of beating a man out wide. He also doesn't have any delivery. Did okay-ish in possession after they scored but final ball is nowhere near up to it. QoS look a threat on the counter and if you asked a neutral they'd say they're the team 2 leagues above. The goal was odd. Not sure what happened. Seemed to trickle over the line.
  2. As in English Championship. Stoke, Derby both "linked".
  3. Gone & currently without a club. There was plenty articles about Championship clubs being after him but no deal signed. Makes me wonder whether or not those were nonsense spread by his agent (Jackie Mcnamara ) to get a better deal out of United. He's been seen in the last few weeks training on his own in his o old Saints gear but hasn't been at training and the club have been trying (some would say woefully) to replace him.
  4. It's one of those things that isn't pinned down to one thing. Football wise the recruitment has been about 80% disaster since the cup wins. Considerable in Saints terms paid for players, most of them barely kicking a ball after signing. Guys like Ambrose signed, thrown straight into the team then pumped out on loan after 4-5 games. Scout they brought in lasted like 6-7 months in the job. Since then we've signed mostly stop gap players 33+ year olds with injury problems. When they did sell McCann & Kerr they sold them without any plans of who they'd bring in to replace them and ended up with shambles last minute loan signings who were just not up to the standard. Many fans are also driven mad with Davidsons interviews. Constant blame directed at the referee and even singling out players in interviews for criticism while never admitting he's to blame for anything. Stubbornly sticking to the same game plan and tactics, despite defeat after defeat. Tommy Wright got stick for his brand of football. Davidson takes it to the next level in terms of Off the field, the staff do a reasonable job considering there's very few full time employees at the club. It's just small things like they don't seem to learn from their mistakes. Examples, whenever there's a "bigger" crowd the consistently run out of hot food, sometimes before kick off. The season tickets and strips things are probably out of the clubs control as they're managed by 3rd party suppliers but there's usually complete silence from the club relating to it. For example they could say "we expect strips to be on sale by end of July". "Season tickets be posted out in bulk once the sales window closes" but instead they just don't acknowledge any of it despite the barrage of fans asking what's going on. Interviews with players behind an additional subscription paywall... They had an interview from a Ukrainian player talking about his family back in Ukrainian when the war started behind a paywall? Another example would be the Annan game during the week the club were directing away fans to their own club's website for tickets for the game. Annan weren't selling tickets on their site for the game and apparently don't have any facility to do so. It's just constantly small things like that which are leading to fan frustration. Brown is also apparently not running the club day to day anymore and has appointed someone else to do so but there hasn't really official explanation from the club of what is going on.
  5. Likewise with the strips. While i wouldn't call it "negative press" re the strips and personally I don't care whether it's ready/not ready myself. Others evidently do care. Simple bit of communication of we aim to have the "home strip available to order early to mid July with the away available end of July" reduced the constant barrage of questions about it. Simple communication goes a long way rather than complete silence on any given subject. Although, it's difficult to appease every customer!
  6. The absolute state some folk are getting into about it on twitter. Demanding some weird ticket retribution for the return league
  7. Nope, didn't order one though. Presuming it's in relation to your order?
  8. Are we finding out now though (based on the fact that he's still not signed anywhere) that the interest in England wasn't as strong as the agent was suggesting to the club it was? United & Saints ending up being only real concrete offers.... I know I'm just speculating but you'd imagine he would have jumped at an offer from the likes of Stoke if one was actually received.
  9. I'm expecting on Saturday: Parish Brown Mahon Considine Gilmour Davidson Halberg Montgomery Carey May Murphy ---- Bair wasnt great midweek but he should continue to receive game time. Is Considine capable of playing two games in one week? I presume any deal to sign Walker from Killie will be subject to them bringing in someone as replace for him as well.
  10. All just rumours I know but if he was indeed to leave yet another episode for the St Johnstone shambles signing show. Brought in for a decent fee to then leave without barely kicking a ball. (Although could return after the loan)
  11. I presume there won't be any kind of "highlights" to see the incidents again from last night? Unless Annan produce them..?
  12. Do you honestly think it'll change, especially off the field? Relegation just results in the off field staff behind cut even further.
  13. What makes my reply worse. Was that I was absolutely convinced it was a Wright signing. Yet replied on here saying it was a Davidson signing
  14. Stolen from Twitter. Tonight's programme "Massive Step forward"
  15. It's genuinely horrific. I don't know much about laying pitches but... It would seem neither does the guys who did the work.
  16. @RandomGuy. Was there not someone on here having a go at you when you questioned the pitch work a few weeks ago... How dare you not happy clap?! Wow. What a mess!!!
  17. Have my doubts if they'll be perm deals. Especially MOH as he'll unlikely be on board with walking away from his current salary. Loan till contract is up.
  18. I'm not a journalist nor do I know the guys from the Courier but I doubt it's based on freebies and more about what he feels he should write professionally. For example, what would be the benefit of him writing articles that are extremely negative for example berating Davidson? While that validates some of our views and based on some of the talk on the podcast they're as frustrated as you but i I don't think articles like that really add value. There's also access. If they do start battering the club and manager they simply won't get access to the manager and other staff for interviews - you then get no insight at all from within the club.
  19. Pulling up this post from a few days ago. Used to live close to the ground until very recently. Its certainly not one of those old football grounds with character thats for sure. (prior to the astro the pitch was always covered in dog mess) The pitch though is very well used in the community, good value to book and by all accounts difficult to get. in comparison to St Johnstones astro a few mins down the round I believe its about a third of the price to book as well. Letham pretty much had to move up levels as they'd won the amatuer leagues consecutively to Bayern Munich levels. Pointless. Last season they struggled a bit, how were they looking based on what you seen?
