The final game of 2023 is here hopefully we can get back to winning ways here. Edinburgh City find themselves in their own trouble off the field and are having to field a team full of youth with a few experienced ones. With that though they have still been scoring a couple of goals but they have been conceding a lot as well. I've got a feeling this game will be a bit of a goal fest would be nice if we gave guys like Ben Black And Cian Newbury starts here or a least a chance of the bench. I do think we will get the win here Edinburgh City 2-5 Accies

He takes far too long to change it. Me and a couple of fans who I sit at notice that he spend about 5-10 minutes every week talking to Daz by the time they've even figured out what they want to do most weeks. By the time they do decide it's either far too late or he brings on our worst sub (Mumbongo) or a guy who's not played in months due to injury when we are needing/holding a goal out (Redfren) Teams have played us once now and have worked us out and he doesn't know how to change it and the stuff he is trying is failing terribly like you mentioned. You are fully entitled to your opinion I personally highly doubt that Rankin will get us promoted which does frustrate me because I do think we have the squad to get promoted under a decent manager. I would love to be proven wrong though and I hope i do and he does get us promoted i just don’t think that will be the case sadly. I think some people are forgetting he got us relegated last season if he was appointed in the summer I might have been willing to give him more time.

What part of it is wrong?

Speaking about Oné I seen him at the game yesterday with his dad wonder if that means anything or if he's just back to see his old team.

I don't like Strain due to the stuff last season but I do think he deserves credit for the summer. We need a proper manager to lead the team though. Hearing we want at least 3 in which won't make a difference under his system.

A lot of fans didn't like Stuart Taylor or Brian Rice but they actually had some sort of system and plan. I thought Taylors football was dreadful and I was one of the people calling for him to go but again he had a plan and had some sort of tactics. Rankin doesn't have a clue no Plan B wasting a team full of good players. Thing is Rice and Taylor both weren't backed Rankin has been fully backed by the board and he can't get anything out of some of the players it's clear to see some have chucked it like McGowan and Tumilty. Rankin must be sacked now and not when he loses the playoffs again for the 2nd year in a row. It's going to be a long couple of months now as the league is gone now.

I'm tired of saying the same stuff every week. Abysmal he needs to be gone instead of giving the guy more money to sign on players he won't use properly anyway get Rankin gone instead. Clear to see a couple of players have chucked it

With our lineup Kelty have every chance of winning again shambles from Rankin

Yeah I think that's a fair assessment Cunningham has had a couple of decent games against us.

Surely we can't lose to the same part time team at home 2 times in a couple of weeks? Under Rankin it wouldn't surprise me. We have got a couple of star players out now with injuries but with the squad we have we should still be winning games like this no disrespect to Kelty who are a decent side. We have 7 games now until we play Falkirk again if we still believe we can win the league then I genuinely would say we would need to win every one of those with Rankin in charge I highly doubt we will do that though. Seen there's a fans forum tomorrow will be interesting to hear what gets asked at that. Focusing back onto this game I've got a feeling it will be quite a poor game to watch but we will just about scrape a win and Rankin will act like everything is fine again Accies 2-1 Kelty Hearts

Yeah I think that would be too big of a risk ATM maybe as assistant to replace Daz. I've said it before but when Rankin eventually does go Daz must follow him.

I thought at the time it was a riskey tbh I haven't seen it back but he almost didn't get to it first from what I can remember. I do agree with what your saying about how maybe one to watch back again to see what actually happened.

Just a interesting thought Queens Park are currently struggling in the championship they are now back at Hampden if they finish 9th there's a good chance we will have a playoff final at Hampden.

I can't get over how bad his change of Mumbongo for Hendrie was today. That was his final change in the 72nd minute let's say we got it back to 2-2 in the 80th minutes we would of had to of seen the last 10+ added time with 3 Defenders not 1 bit of thought process went into that change. For me Fergus Owens must be brought back in January. I loved McGowan last season and was delighted when he came back but he's been terrible at times this season. Fulton should have never of came for that ball today don't understand why he done that. Martin getting injured is a big blow as well but it was going to happen at some point we've ot really had much injuries so far going into this game but it all happened in the 1 game. Regardless of who the manager is Fergus needs to be brought back in January and a midfielder and striker is required. Looking likely to be the playoffs now.

McGowan was absolutely rotten for us today he's been very disappointing since he came back. I've not seen the highlights back but I also thought he was lucky to not be shown red at times today.

Yep Rankin is a good talker but barely produces today was another example. Falkirk looked the better set up team and his changes to bring Hewitt on for Barjonas and potentially the worst change I've ever seen in Mumbongo for Hendrie completely killed us. Falkirk have a manager we don't and they have a clinical striker we don't and it looks like they will be in the championship next season and we won't.

What happened? Seen their was a couple of fights just before kickoff inside the stadium

As expected Rankin makes a mess of it again. We did get a bit of bad luck today with losing Kilday,Martin and Fulton but that doesn't make it acceptable. Don't have a clue what Fulton was playing at today he got himself injured should have never in a million years came for that ball seems like a bad one as well which is a big blow. Rankin's changes again were embarrassing Hewitt for Barjonas was a poor sub but Mumbongo for Hendrie must be one of the worst changes I've ever seen and no surprise that Falkirk ended up scoring again. Even if we had managed to get it back to 2-2 unless it was the final kick off the ball Falkirk would of easily went back up and scored again with how open Rankin left us have no idea what Rankin was thinking. Does seem like this is Falkirks year and I think it's extremely likely that they will go on and win the league. If we get a proper manager in then I still reckon we've got a good chance in the playoffs but if it is Rankin it will be league 1 again next season.

Yeah I can see why there's a section of fans that will never like him after his actions last season which were disgraceful btw. I really like Seref though and from what I've heard he's a really good guy as well I do think in time Seref will get us up a league or 2.

It would be Henderson, O'Hara, Smith for me nothing against Zannata he's been decent the past couple of weeks I just think the top goalscorer needs to start here. This is a game where we really need O'Haras work rate imo.

Yep I agree survival is the main priority it would be a miracle to stay up but it would be some story if they managed it. Again let's just hope they survive that's the main thing

That's good news hopefully a good sign and he ends up being correct. Won't be a main priority at the minute with everything going on at Edinburgh but it would be some story if they some how managed to stay up this season.
