  1. The league table looks good but again we've been quite lucky in a couple of our games. He needs to change up the system to get more out of our players but he seems too stubborn and arrogant to do so. It wasn't that hard for Edinburgh yesterday in the second half they looked quite comfortable and we never looked like scoring after they leveled. Although we should of scored a couple more in the first half. You can't be dropping points at home to Edinburgh City if you want to win this league. Falkirk will get 12/12 points against Edinburgh.
  2. A big part was due to Rankins negative system which is wasting a good set of players. Yesterday's result was coming for a while our performances haven't been good enough especially at home we deserved to lose against Alloa and were lucky to hold on against Montrose. Could argue we were lucky to beat you as well at Palmerston. We seem to fall off in a lot of games after going 1-0 up and end up conceding due to our stupidness. If Rankin sticks with the same system then I can only see more results like yesterday happening in the next couple of games and eventually our fans will turn on him. I don't think he's the man who will get us out of this league. His stubbornness and arrogance is a big problem sticking with a striker who only has 1 league goal in 10 is always going to be a problem.
  3. From what it seems like in Rankins interview it does seem like there will be changes next week assuming O'Hara will be dropped and possibly Tait as well who went mental again today after being subbed. The thing is though why have we waited till we dropped points to drop O’Hara? If Morrison had an injury for Falkirk but they were still winning every week do you think they would wait until they dropped points to bring him back in? Those are the sort of managerial decisions from Rankin which will cost us the league. This full shit mentality of "don't fix what is not broken" is ridiculous if you can make something better then do it don't wait for us to drop points to do it.
  4. We have a really good squad arguably the best in the league however it's getting wasted with this system and manager even in games we've won we have been very lucky in some. Doesn't help the fact we keep starting Kevin O'Hara he isn't good enough to start games and he should of been dropped after the Stirling game that's 1 goal now in 10 league games. Morrison and Maclver have 7 and 5. Most teams who are fighting for titles go onto win games comfortably after getting the first goal we are the opposite as soon as we get the first goal we are shite most weeks and eventually end up conceding most weeks. We've been lucky a couple of times to still end up winning them so far but today we didn't get that luck. We now have Montrose away next week I was worried about that game even before today happened I'm even more worried now after it got a bad feeling that we will lose and that would mean we would be 5 points behind Falkirk by the end of October that simply wouldn't be good enough and if we do slip up again before Falkirk do and go 4/5 points behind questions have to be asked at Rankin we can't afford to be in this league again next season and can't afford to give him too much time. He's been backed massively in the summer there's no excuses for him this season.
  5. Today's result has been coming for weeks very lucky to hold on against Montrose very lucky to win against Alloa we deserved to lose that game imo and today was no different. Rankins stubbornness to change the system and drop O’Hara is what will keep us in league 1 for another year. Was worried for Montrose even before today from what I've seen they've improved a bit since the last time we played them and even before today I had a bad feeling we would drop points there. A loss or draw next week will see us 4/5 points behind Falkirk if so then Rankins position must start to be questioned again.
  6. 6 SPFL games have just been called off. Thankfully at the moment our game is still on
  7. John Rankin confirms that David Arshakyan will not be signing for us. Can't say I'm too disappointed it would of felt a bit unnecessary if we had signed him. I would much rather let Mumbongo and Mcglynn get up to full fitness and hope O'Hara comes good. Rather than taking another punt on someone. Maybe also worth waiting till January as well before making more signings when there's more options available hopefully the club are looking at the Irish market.
  8. Next up for us it's the team who are currently bottom of the league at home. Edinburgh City do have a new manager though and it is his first game in charge so we do need to be careful. Couple of Ex Accies players for Edinburgh City in Spence, Macdonald and Ben Stirling. Overall even though Edinburgh City have a new manager I still think we will have enough here to win comfortably Accies 4-0 Edinburgh City.
  9. Decent win again today really good in the first half. Nice to see Mumbongo getting his first goal today. Our 4th goal was probably the worst goal I've ever seen the EK Goalkeeper won't be having a good night. Main thing today was getting into the next round of the cup and doing it comfortably and we done that. It was the sort of game we would of lost in past seasons. Onto next week now hopefully get another couple of goals.
  10. Falkirk have had a couple of scares though as well they've had late goals against QOTS and Montrose.
  11. I agree with what you said about Lewis I don't think yesterday was his game i would like to see him and maybe Zannata as well start next weeks game maybe a chance for both of them to score and boost their confidence up a bit.
  12. The Maclver one at the end I actually think was started by Maclver but it did seem like a bit of a coming together with Longridge I would be interested to see the replay of that. Maclver also made a challenge on Tumilty when the ball was already out of play.
  13. Do we really need another striker? In pervious years we've lacked depth but we're starting to overload a bit now. it would be a confusing signing considering we've just signed a striker a couple of weeks ago. We already have Henderson, O'Hara, McGlynn, Mumbongo and even Andy Winter who can all do a job as strikers. It does seem a bit like an unneeded panic signing I would just stick with what we have currently and if we do need something else do it in January when there's more options available.
  14. Think Rankin and Mcglynn have both said in the media that he's not fully fit yet to start think he's been recovering from an injury over the summer he has looked promising though
  15. The amount of those fouls that weren't actually fouls. Seen a couple of Falkirk fans complain about the ref although he gave yous absolutely everything 2 or 3 terrible challenges by Falkirk weren't even giving as free kicks. I've liked Mumbongo so far and you need to remember he's been playing at a much higher level than league 1 in the past this might be his level.
  16. Yep credit goes to Rankin today him and the defence dealt with Falkirks attack well. I'm happy with a point away from Falkirk but we need to win against them when they come to NDP and I think we're more than capable of doing that. Falkirk fans say we're shite but again point still stands that we were very comfortable today defensively and they couldn't beat us at home.
  17. You weren't that much better either. Alloa caused far more goal threat against us a couple of weeks ago than Falkirk did expected the Falkirk attack to cause a lot more problems than it did. Our back 4 was very comfortable all game. By the time we next play Falkirk Mumbongo and Mcglynn will be up to full fitness and we won't be starting O'Hara every week even though O'Hara wasn't actually too bad today. Admittedly Henderson and Barjonas both didn't have they're best games today. You can call us shite but you failed to beat us at home we'll see who's top in May.
  18. A good point for us it's important that the games away at Falkirk we just don't lose but it's important we beat them at NDP. neither team was great today and 0-0 was the fair result. Falkirk fans repeat the Stenhousemuir incident at full time today. Hopefully one of our fans recorded the Falkirk fan that got grabbed by the police officer as that was very funny.
  19. Yeah good point. Just hopefully nobody makes a rash decision in calling it off.
  20. The accies twitter account has just replied to me after I asked if the game was going ahead saying " to my knowledge the game will be going ahead as Falkirk have the AstroTurf pitch. If we hear otherwise, we will notify you immediately"
  21. Yeah Falkirk should be doing everything possible to keep this on tonight. It's not ideal but I think both teams should do their best to just go on with it
