  1. Doesn't shock me that the people that approved Goodwillie in the first place tried to keep McGlynn those new owners that have came in and Raith would have probably gotten rid of him
  2. He's an OK manager and usually does get results however it ended at Raith because he signed a certain player which put Raith in jeopardy (not saying he was the only person who made the decision though) there's certainly a big difference from the championship to league 1 in my opinion which will be hard for players who've played in league 1 for a couple of seasons to get used to. Arbroath likely going down means unless a PT team won the playoffs all of the championship will be FT next season it will certainly be interesting to see what happens in that league next season.
  3. I don't know about that we all know how it ended for McGlynn at Raith.
  4. Airdrie have arguably the best manager in the championship though only a matter of time before McCabe gets a job elsewhere.
  5. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/hamilton-boss-says-blame-falkirk-32151337 ....
  6. Surely Gerry wouldn't have the licence/badges to be a manager? There's few things out there that would make me stop going to games but Gerry Strain being the manager would probably be one of those. Seref can't let that happen and if he does their be riots.
  7. Yeah like I said in my last message we'll soon see what happens
  8. We'll soon see if you're able to do it on a regular basis. I'm not saying that you won't either. At the end of the day Falkirk fans watch you're team every week so you will know more about your own team than we will. I just don't think you've been excellent in any of the games against us even though you have been the better side in probably all 3 of them but will you be able to do that against better managed sides?
  9. Yeah let's be honest you're going up we've fucked it up ourselves by not removing Rankin in the summer after he relegated us or in November after we got chucked out the cup at Home to Kelty. Not saying we would have won the league if we had a better manager but what I will say is there is no chance Falkirk would be about to go 14 points clear in February after they win on Tuesday. What you said about squads changing is true and maybe I'm wrong there.
  10. Aye I don't think you'll go down but I don't think you'll be challenging for playoffs/title either which I think some of your fans will be expecting. Depends on how much you strengthen and who you lose as well
  11. He has to go it's as simple as that 3-0 down in league 1 after half an hour is embarrassing we got 2 consolation goals felt like the games in the premiership during the covid where we were 3/4-0 after 20/30 minutes got a couple of goals back but never looked like getting anything from the game. His starting lineup was embarrassing as was his changes. Keeping him to the end of the season would be mental as we would have zero chance of winning the playoffs keeping him beyond that would be putting the club's future in jeopardy. Alloa can close the gap to 6 on us next week. As for Falkirk they were decent and deserve to win this league but can see them getting a reality check next season in the championship like Dunfermline have.
  12. I don't even need to name Accies players here Stone (QOTS) Wales (Alloa) Fyvie (Cove) Burrell (Cove Lyon (Kelty) Those are 5 straight away that I can think of who are championship level.
  13. Alloa have picked up more points than us since the first quarter.
  14. We have been out of the title race for a while now and have absolutely zero chance of winning the playoffs as long as Rankin is in charge. This is a meaningless game and would probably be better in the long run if we got battered so it's another step closer (hopefully the last step) of getting Rankin sacked. The league's is Falkirks. I'm still going tomorrow but aren't expecting much and expect it to be a very long and depressing afternoon for us.
  15. Again he's not liked by Rankin so unless we have a new manager in by June I don't expect that we'll see McGlynn again which is a shame cause he's a really good player I can only see him scoring more goals for Kelty best of luck to him though and hopefully he continues to make Rankin look like a mug.
  16. Yep that's one of the many reasons we want Rankin gone. Most of our fans could see McGlynn was a player but because he wasn't one of Rankin's favourites he didn't play.
  17. Yeah that's fair enough. My personal opinion is that he has to go before the playoffs as we would have no chance of winning a playoff under him and again on the injury matter we should still have had more than enough to get by.
  18. I think most of the replacements are up for the job just not really been given a shot by Rankin and he just keeps playing his favourites. Some of the many examples of this is that's he stuck with Dylan McGowan the full season even though every Accies fan can see he needs to be dropped as he's been rotten and comes across as one of these players who thinks he's a lot better than what he actually is if I was John McGlynn I would be telling the Falkirk players to put pressure on him on Saturday same with Tumilty who's also been very disappointing this season and not been dropped. He kept bringing on Andy Winter and Joel Mumbongo over Joe McGlynn for weeks when it's clear McGlynn is milles better than those 2. Mumbongo and McGlynn are now out on loan I'm expecting McGlynn to score a good amount of goals at Kelty and he's one to watch. He also didn't give Chrissy McGinn a chance this season when he impressed last season in the championship and was excellent in our Uefa Youth league game and instead sees Stephen Hendrie as a better option who again is rotten.
  19. Injuries is not an excuse and a very poor attempt at defending Rankin as a Falkirk fan said we have a massive squad we should be able to handle 3 injuries. We've just dropped points at home to 2 part time teams who couldn't fill their benches so don't come out with that garbage.
  20. That's actually a good shout and a guy I like as well however I think he has something outside football so won't go full-time.
  21. How is someone who was interested in the Ayr job and didn't get it extremely unrealistic for Accies?
  22. i would say Gary Bowyer who was at Dundee last season and got them promoted then was sacked he was recently linked with the Ayr job as well. Would have said Darren Young at Stirling but he's signed a new contract there so that's probably unlikely now.
