Hopefully in the cold light of day tomorrow some folk that have posted in the last few hours will realise they’ve massively over-reacted and feel a bit embarrassed.

I think we can all see that a lack of quality defensively has been a problem all season.
When the attackers were firing on all cylinders it didn’t matter but now that they’re tired/the opposition have learned how to play us/ they’ve dipped in form the defensive frailties have been exposed.

Last summer we did some phenomenal business to provide quality in depth in the attacking positions.
My hope is that if we don’t go up this season we’ll be able to recruit that kind of quality in depth for the other end of the pitch.
If we manage that we’ll be in with a fantastic chance next year, especially if it’s Livi that come down.

Having said that, this season is far from done yet. United only ahead on goal difference and we still play them twice.
And there’s two weeks of transfer window left for Murray to shore up the defence.
Hopefully someone shows him how to remove the ‘midfielder’ filter from that excel sheet of signing targets he has.

    👍

Wasn,t that long ago we were the best thing since sliced bread according to some now we are the polar opposite

Target was top 4 finish and still on target for that at the minute

The club has come a long way in a short space of time since the new owners have come in

Some really need to temper their expectafions

Read what I posted..... it's annoying to many Rovers supporters that yet again the arrival of a new player (Kyle Turner) was revealed on here by Raithie who just couldn't wait to show off how ITK they were rather than wait for the club to announce the news..... further compounded by the fact that they appear to have a source who updated them on another player (Ashcroft) we may or not be signing.

Let us know who it is @Raithie - there's pro journalists out there that would be keen to have that close a contact at any club...

Do you complain to all the rags/ journalists when they reveal potential signings that come to fruition?

    Grow up

Given that you spilt your guts about the Turner signing before it was announced I'm going to believe your wide-ranging, rambling ITK nonsense that covers just about every scenario that could occur with Ashcroft.

There's something "special" about a random punter that somehow finds out some good news about their club but can't wait to blab it on P&B rather than have the club announce it themselves......

    😅

    Bad day at the office?

    Whats your issue?

This is a football forum where fans give there point of view, speculate, rumour monger etc

A club ban has no real implications other than the club won't sell them tickets, and will throw them out if they find them in the ground.

No one will get charged if they ignore it. The club may just lengthen the ban. That's not a criticism of the pars, the only trespass in Scotland that is criminal is on the railway.

A court issued football banning order is completely different and has much more serious consequences.

Will Byrne and Turner be allowed to play in the Scottish cup, that is the question. Great signing even if they aren't.

Didn't I read somewhere that Stanton was out for 6-8 weeks?

Doesn,t look like Turner is cup tied so dont see why he wont or cant play in the SC and unless Byrne is offski he should be permitted to play

  6. Dont see anything wrong or why Airdrie fans wouldn,t be giving it some after beaten the league leaders and the only team in the league so far to have done it not once but twice

Pretty sure if it was us that had beaten the league leaders our fans would be behaving much the same

Some folk are awfy easy upset at a defeat

Well rightly or wrongly i was carried away at the goal, excuse or not. Was it stupid? Course it was, i know this, I looked like a fanny but lets not make it out to be something it’s not. It was a celebration, don’t think I’ve noticed you mention the attack on the fan outside the ground.

Been there, done it got the t-shirt

Love your passion mate and had a wee chuckle at the whole incident.End of the day,no harm done

We seem to have a lot of fans that are whiter then white

Unless I’m very much mistaken, same well-known Rovers fan that did the exact same thing when Dargo scored about 20years ago.

Thought we were pretty poor today.
On the face of it the decision to play Dabrowski seems daft but maybe Thomson isn’t fully fit yet either?

In terms of how we played, the amount of space we gave them was quite concerning, standing off them far too much in the middle of the park. It led directly to the goal and we’re lucky they didn’t have enough quality to punish us for it. Otoo looked quite dangerous driving out of defence and we just let him come at us.

Easton was uncharacteristically ineffective, made too many bad decisions- as did Vaughan now I think about it. Hamilton also seemed off it again.

On the plus side, having Byrne back in there was an improvement, and Brown was more like himself further up the park. Mullins delivery was excellent, and O’Reilly popping up with the two goals is great for a centre-half.
Kev also made a couple of fantastic saves despite being hobbled.

I thought the Pars did ok considering their injury worries pre-game, and I really hope Fisher is ok.

We’ve not been ourselves for the last three games, but if this is our blip (which is always going to happen) then I’ll take it.

Also, I wore my old hat, so the Xmas hat is in the bin.

Us fitba fans are comically fickle aren’t we? Raith having their best season for decades, unexpectedly top of the league, winning week after week with dramatic last minute winners and playing excellent, exciting football. Two draws in a row and it’s suddenly doom and gloom and their fans are starting to get twitchy.

Not having a go at Raith fans at all, we’re all the same and we went through it 2 seasons ago. Just look at Celtic a couple of weeks ago - draw v Motherwell and lose v Killie and you would have thought they were bottom of L2.

Yes it’s a wee blip for Rovers but they’re still top and on a great run. Today was a freak game and 99/100 times they would have won that fairly comfortably. Makes up for the smash and grab at Gayfield a few weeks ago.

    Exactly this
