  1. Spot on. He takes his opinions as facts and when someone proves him wrong he either doesn’t reply or throws his toys out the pram. He mentioned “dressing room unrest” but apparently he “can’t get into it as it’s private.” He also said we have good squad depth, if he think’s having 2 senior player on the bench is good depth god help him (a goalkeeper and George Oakley). He refused to accept injuries to key players are badly impacting us. Also, apparently results matter not win percentages, while that might be true to an extent don’t the results determine the win percentage?
  2. I’m genuinely not having a go here but you’ve mentioned players falling out with Dodds previously, who are the players / what’s supposed to have happened? (By “players” I’m guessing it’s more than the Ridgers rumours?)
  3. Good to hear your views, on the current footballing side of things I do think you’ve a good chance of avoiding the drop automatically if you can find goals from somewhere but that’s easier said than done. Confidence must also be lacking. There’s little chance any premiership club is taken in a play-off by a championship side this season imo so I wouldn’t worry about that.
  4. My opinion is injuries are the most important reason for the downturn in form but NOT the only reason, your opinion appears to solely blame the manager and you can’t see past that. You accused me of buying into propaganda from the club which is incorrect. I CAN see limitations in the manager and thought we were very generous not sacking him during last seasons awful run, but I believe this time it’s mainly down to injuries. You agree we should have more points which is good. You refer to a new mood - who’d have thought ending a bad spell by scoring 10 goals and winning a couple games brings positivity and confidence! Furthermore, the main “core” of our team is injured or were until recently (deas, devine, macgregor, allardice etc). Henderson joined up, Ridgers and Dan Mackay returned and this improved the team recently. I hope we can take this good momentum from beating two poor teams into playing better opponents like Morton and Partick. You know as well as I do if we didn’t have so many key players out that even a couple extra wins would see us fighting it out at the top and that’s exactly why you avoided my second question.
  5. I’ll respond to your points when I get a minute later. Between now and then could you give your opinion on this, we are 10 points off the top, 6 off second and 4 off the play-offs with a game in hand on some. Simple yes or no answer is fine: 1) do you think we’d have more points on the board if we didn’t have so many injuries? 2) do you reckon we could have won at least a couple more games?
  6. I reckon we’d be in the play-offs at a minimum currently if we didn’t have so many injuries and the fact we aren’t even that far off it highlights how bad the league is this season
  7. Is there some kind of succession plan in place for Ross County post Roy Macgregor? As clubs go you do appear to be far more reliant on one individual than most other Scottish clubs
  8. I agree, we should come together and enjoy today. Please begin the healing process by complimenting Sandy Cromarty.
  9. Fair play to St Mirren letting us have the best winger in the world
  10. why am I still waiting for you to tell us all when our players are returning from injury? It’s not difficult after all.
  11. So if Billy Mckay appears to injure his knee today for example and goes to the hospital for a scan are you saying he shouldn’t tell the club (his employer) what specific injury he has suffered?
  12. You’re correct it’s not hard to take a view given published information, but will that view be correct? I suspect not with the vague information the CEO provided. He described Dan Mackay as having stepped on the ball and hurt his knee, Dan Devine as having a player fall on him, how could a supporter decide on an accurate timeframe? We likely couldn’t hence why we might hope the club inform us. I don’t think many of us are expecting to be given their return to fitness right down to the minute, but it’s not inappropriate to wonder is a players season over or when they might roughly return. Out of interest, given the vague information the CEO provided what view did you take on the return of let’s say, Roddy Macgregor? How about Allardice, Harper? Nathan Shaw? It’s not difficult after all.
  13. Gardiner explained on the podcast how injuries occurred to each player individually but I don’t think there’s been much if anything in regards to when those players are returning to fitness. The club don’t appear forthcoming in providing information, could the journalists/podcast guy not ask during the pre match press conference when some players might roughly return, if at all?
  14. I gave Highland Capital the opportunity to explain why if injuries aren’t the main reason for our downturn in form what else could it be, sadly, he couldn’t provide alternatives
  15. Hopefully if shaw is injured it’s not something long term, liked the look of him initially but by September/October he seemed to be completely devoid of confidence and ideas and frankly was written off by some (myself included at times) but after a few goals I agree he came back onto a good game and was standing out in some matches prior to disappearing
  16. I didn’t think there was great deal in it today until we took the lead, cove were slightly more comfortable on the ball and had their threat from set pieces imo but once we went in front it was almost complete one way traffic barring a couple good saves from Ridgers who performed well after his spell on the sidelines. I was very impressed with Henderson who’s crossing was exceptional and based only on todays showing looks a very good player at this level. Also is this the end for Oakley? Unless he’s carrying a knock I’m guessing he’s one of those players deemed as not good enough by BD.
  17. I think if we’d sacked Dodds during last seasons winless run it would’ve been absolutely justified. However, we didn’t and with hindsight I believe that was the correct call based on the good run we went on in the league, then the plays offs, then the cup group stages this season and a decent opening to this seasons league campaign. It’s just my opinion but I think the lineups we’ve been putting out due to injuries in recent times isn’t good enough to win many matches and our form is almost entirely linked to the injuries, I’m really not sure another manager would do much better with some of those players. Whether it’s Dodds or another manager in charge I do think consistent better results will return once the injured players do.
  18. no idea, seems to have a decent scoring record for Celtic B this season though according to the P&J report today
  19. We are reportedly trying to sign 19 year old Celtic attacker Joey Dawson on loan
