  1. I just have a hope now that Labour once in power will make things better and once in power and showing a better run governance will also start to edge towards some of those policies they are keeping at arms length for now. That may be misplaced but all voting is in hope to some extent. I certainly am not claiming I am right and anyone else is wrong. In a way I guess im just trying to formulate how I feel and work through some of the questions I have that are going to influence how I vote. Which isnt as easy as it used to be. So just putting out there how im feeling now in regards voting and politics in regards where we are at the moment if that makes any sense at all
  2. I well remember Labour sitting on their arses taking everything for granted in Scotland especially, which is where I see the SNP now. I honestly just dont see the SNP delivering independence and I feel their governance over last while has been poor. I respect your view and reply though
  3. Its my opinion that it wont be more of the same if Labour get in, it will get better for the avg person, thats why I am considering it
  4. I agree independence is the best way but I also want things better quickly
  5. If I thought the SNP could gain independence Id consider voting for them again, at moment I dont think they will any time soon. To vote based on who would make things better quicker I'll be honest I am considering Labour in both UK and Scottish elections. No matter how bland Starmer is its going to be better than the tories and a change in Scottish Government might give the SNP the boot up the arse it needs and they come back a better party. The Scotland United idea is the only thing that sounds interesting on the indy side of things and something that could bring real change but it seems dead in the water
  6. expresso for me but not sure any names, I just know what tastes good to me when I buy it but most are average
  7. That was why Coutts will never come out of this well, as probably at this moment journalists etc are trying to find out who else banks there with a bad reputation. Any social media revolutionaries who think getting a Coutts card is cool will be handing it back in a few months when its discovered Coutts have accounts with far worse and accounts they want to keep.
  8. Good you enjoyed that , yeah the language takes a bit to get used to
  9. Just to save this thread from falling off the front page
  10. Farage wont "win" but it It will negatively impact Coutts and probably some of their employees. I would doubt it will encourage other banks to do the same and Coutts will probably clarify it so as to avoid doing it again to anyone else. Id guess a lot of their customers could fall foul of it, which would be a good thing but unlikely something that Coutts want to follow through on and lose customers
  11. Id still be very surprised if Sturgeon herself is charged with anything, Murrel wouldnt be a surprise. If anyone is charged does that mean the evidence has been reviewed by some prosecution office and they have said go ahead. How does it work?
  12. Self checkout should have a small discount, next they will want us picking up the goods from the warehouse for them under a "save time just go to our warehouse and rip open a box of"
  13. Thats a good habit to have really Give it a read, let me know what you think
  14. I was thinking the same, the stories we get in the media now seem to be social media run only, anything that has legs on social media becomes the top story so we have non stories like Gary Linekars views on whatever, Farage banking etc etc. Stories that would be a tiny article on page 9 of a newspaper 20 years ago now getting top spots.
  15. That will be nice to see if the tories lose all 3
  16. Who they was - Gabriel Krauze. Hes on the fringes of the local Mandems in Londons, more freelance than tied down to one area. Basically hes a c**t but hes a good writer and its a very good book. Its honest so he deosnt seem to hold back even when he knows the reader will not be on his side at times. In saying that you can see hes also alright at times too. At times hes glorifying the life and at others he is processing the futility of that way of life and how pointless and nihilistic it is. As you would expect someone to honestly be if they let themselves Hes got a talent for writing that grabs you from the first page. I will be getting his next book.
  17. I never thought about it before but on the news they were talking about the rising temperatures and in areas/countries where the humidity is high. Then when air temperatures are rising well over body temperature it is dangerous due to the fact your sweat cant evaporate and you can overheat quite quickly. There must be a lot of areas/countries where these temps getting hit could be quickly severe in consequences, will there?
  18. The greens look to be finished by being even more hopeless than the SNP are.
  19. whats the latest wirh Humza? he seems to flip flop from one view to the other, It will soon be summer hols for the parliment.
  20. sooner he fecks off and shuts up the better, the c**t should be jailed
  21. If they believed in it and had a working scheme Then they should have gone ahead with it, even just with plastic bottles. That they didnt probably means they knew they had fecked up and didnt even have a working scheme. They could have easily started with plastic bottles got it up and running and then the opportunity would have been there to add glass at a later stage. Businesses will quite often start with a MVP minimun viable product and then from there build on it towards what their final aim is, why that couldnt have happened here I dont think has ever been explained by Scottish Gov
