  1. So, lets just forget league positions then? That makes as much of a mockery of our league competitions as leting a newco continue in the SPL with a clean slate.
  2. I agree - a smart move that may well see them minimise the damage to SFA reputation from this whole sorry affair. I'm also not popping the champagne corks yet....................
  3.   How the f**k can anything have made Rangers a less appealing investment? As for the timing - the potential buyers have been asking for certainty regarding the punishment to allow them to have a better understanding of what they are buying into. The SFA have timed this to help Ranger - not to hinder them.
  4. He's a kid who needed rested and if he'd been given that occasional rest I think he would have come on a lot and been ready for next season.
  5. To be fair to Laurie, he's been played out of position for a large chunk of this season and he's clearly uncomfortable there. The same can be said for Dyer & Hill - who should not even be warming the bench!
  6. Depending upon the scale of the offense - penalties can be as high as 105% of the underpayment.
  7. As I said, only Johnson tested positive of the finalists at the 1988 Olypic 100 metres.
  8. Only Johnson tested postive at the 1988 Olympics ( of the 100m finalists, anyway )
  9. Theres no point in fans of either of those teams ( or indeed the other 40 Scottish senior clubs ) turning out in numbers until their clubs have a level playing field. Its a bit like being a 100m runner in the 1988 Olympics and having to come up against Ben Johnson.
  10. It was interesting to hear fat Allys take on the 134 million debt on the beeb today. Apparently, he's not worried because "at least" 110 million is dubious ( the 75 million "Big Tax Case", 25 million to Ticketus and 10 million due for this years PAYE/NIC/VAT/CT bill ).
  11. Its starting to feel more and more likely that this wil be my last ever season watching Scottish football.
  12. Translated to - How dare the SFA not pull out all the stops to help one club thats cheated its way to the top of the pile at the expense of every other club.
  13. I had a cider fueled chat with a mate of mine over the weekend. We were wondering how Dwaine Chambers will react when Ranger get away with this.
  14. But they do definately owe several million from the small tax case and unpaid taxes over the last 9/10 months - with no means to repay this. You carry on believing that everythings really rosey down Ibrox way.
  15. HMRC have been threatening to pull the plug on a major football club for several years now in an effort to put an end to the misaprehension that many football clubs appear to live under where-by they seem to think that complying with legislation is optional for them. HMRC cannot afford to be seen to be lenient with rangers. The loss of future revenue that that message that would send to other clubs would massively outweigh the loss of any future revenue from rangers.
  16. You're saying exactly what I wish I had the confidence to say. But there is no justice in this world and I suspect that this post will come back to haunt.
