    Therein lies the issue, nobody is willing to yield in the debate because of perceived unfairness or self preservation. It’s an issue which has no solution which will please everyone, I was just making the point that this was the general feeling in the LL, at least it was when we were there.

    Meritocracy should be prevalent through the pyramid, best team promoted/worst team relegated, no second chances in play-offs etc. I say all that as part of a club who came through that system.

    They LL would argue that there should be straight relegation/promotion between them at League 2, and they may have an argument, because it would make it easier to get back up again.

    That’s my interpretation of it. These statements wouldn’t be out of place as clues on the old quiz show 3-2-1 (it’s an old show from the 80’s where they had unfathomable clues)

    I am led to believe that the license application window will only open for a 6 week period, starting the day after the AGM.

    No interest in their license deficiencies that’s correct. My personal opinion is that the league is overrated, and we won’t see the flow of teams from it that many people have predicted.

    No need to worry about Bonnyrigg The overall point is that if you finish in last place in the SPFL you deserve to go down, regardless of history, ground etc. I get that SPFL fans have preferred away days etc, but unfortunately for them I think we may see more scenarios like this in the future.

    I’ve got absolutely no interest in Beith and their license deficiencies, the point I was making is that there is yet to be a WoSFL club coming up to the LL, despite how powerful they are supposed to be.

    Absolutely, a club with no license has won it again. What’s your point?

    I keep reading about the “strong WoSFL clubs” coming to dominate the LL, but here we are for the 3rd year in a row and not a single one has made it up.

    Is that a new criteria in the SPFL, if you have a history and come from a historic town you can’t be relegated?

    Agreed, never ceases to amaze me how some posters on here get wound up by other clubs, often citing - lack of fans, you’ve no history, blah blah blah. I would take it as a compliment that they are having a go.
