I'd guess Spittal is a done deal if Ferguson is even talking in the paper that we've offered a contract as that seems a bit odd if not. Happy with that if he signs. He fits the club profile of what we want. Almost 100 Premiership appearances and he's still only 23 so plenty time for the guys to try and develop him further.

Not every signing has to be. Fergiewell stating that he is "versatile" strikes to me already that he's going to be back up but a worthy squad player. Will he get more game time than an inexperienced Paton and a Don Cowie who is 37 next year? I'd hope so.

The craic seems to be that the club have offered new deals to players on reduced terms to what they were on when we were last in the Premiership. There was rumours a few weeks ago of Fox going to Dundee Utd but I've not heard anything on it myself.
