  1. When meeting folk later,

In evening after work, train into town and buying a paper and sitting quietly reading paper and a couple of pints to chill before heading to meet others.

Similar on a Sunday buying a paper and a quiet pint and read before meeting to watch the football.

The solitary chill time, where scrolling has now replaced paper reading is blissful.

    Wid, though.

There comes a point where someone can never be rated a wid.

Would be less plastic and a more honest loving reaction if you fucked a rubber doll,

and she probably knows a bloke in China that can sell you one form his factory, with a significant mark up.

My headphones (old skool with cable) do this but I discovered a life hack (is that what they call it nowadays) and hung them over the banister and let them untangle themselves.  I should really get that on the tik tok.

    LIFE HACK

The modern world GEN Z, youtubers, arseholes take the word tip and whereas they take everywhere else and shorten it stupidly

( babe becomes bae, OK become K ), though chose to make this one longer different word to make it seem like something better.

It irritates more than it should. It's just a tip.

  4. Anyone got a TV they can give me. Just smashed f**k out of mine watching that simpering witch trying to justify being a fucking liar that her family has made £61M on a £200M contract isn't profiteering and she is a fucking liar..

And using the Matheson defence of protecting her family by lying.

Her and her man need jailed.

And count to ten and breathe.

  5. Seems more part of his family taking him away, from the BBC story;

A 17-year-old English boy from Oldham who went missing in Spain in 2017 has been found in France, authorities say.

The teenager, answering to the name of Alex Batty, was found in the town of Revel east of Toulouse early on Wednesday morning.

Six years ago, Alex, then 11, was on holiday with his mother and grandfather when they disappeared in Spain.

A police source told the BBC Alex had been taken to a police station by a concerned motorist.

The boy said he had been in France for two years, the police source said, adding that he bore a resemblance to the last known picture of Alex.

He was in good health and did not say he had been mistreated in any way.

The prosecutor's office in Toulouse confirmed the identity to the BBC, stating: "It is the missing child. The family have confirmed it."

His grandmother - and legal guardian - Susan Caruana told the BBC in 2018 that she believed Alex's mother Melanie Batty and grandfather David Batty had taken him to live with a spiritual community in Morocco.

She said they were seeking an alternative lifestyle and did not want Alex to go to school.

I bought us a 2024 calendar last week that also has the final 4 months of 2023 on one page.

Scrolling through the calendar and I see she's filled in all family birthdays, medical appointments, holidays etc for 2024. Whose birthday isn't on the calendar even though it's a mere 4 days after hers? It's a petty point but could you imagine if a man was to forget a woman's birthday

Put yours up on the wrong date, 4 days before hers.

If she points it out say 'so you do know when it is bitch',

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year x.

  7. Hopefully another by-election,

Scott Benton faces being suspended from Parliament, after the Commons standards watchdog found he committed a "very serious breach" of lobbying rules.

The Committee on Standards recommended the MP should be suspended for 35 days.

If approved by MPs, this could lead to a by-election in his Blackpool South constituency.

Mr Benton was suspended as a Tory MP earlier this year after he was filmed offering to lobby ministers for a fake company in a newspaper sting.

In a meeting with reporters posing as gambling industry investors, he was caught offering to lobby ministers and table parliamentary questions.

The committee's report said he had given the message "he was corrupt and 'for sale'".

  8. The NE has a fascination with male names, often heard rurally for something or someone being elsewhere in the house is 'it's ben the hoose'

The NE is full of Bens and Kens and their use is infectious. I'm west coast but been in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire many years and it creeps into your brain and your language. Accept the doric as the future ma quines and loons.

I think he probably means 'pairing'.

Doubt the opposition would entertain pairing on a vote that Sunak is staking his government on.

They usually approve pairing on both sides. Always someone unavailable on both sides, trips, illnesses, hospital, emergencies to match up a few non voters either side.

There have been cases in the past of MPS taken from hospital beds in taxis to get taken through lobbies in wheelchairs.

If they all getting recalled they cannot be sure of pairing to match up and they know voting is going to be very tight, might not be in end but when decision made they were worried enough.

It's either going to be that or Farage being welcomed into the Tories.

The scene is being set :)

Think Farage arriving would see the total split of the party with centralist MPs heading for Labour and the Lib Dems, they currently more of an opposition to themselves as they about half a dozen self-interested factions than the official opposition in the Commons as they fight over the Rwanda Bill.

So if Farage arriving would totally destroy and split them apart - I'm happy to chip in for his taxi fare, anyone else?
