  1. I have lost count how many times our manager has says over the last 3/4 months, that our slow start to last season cost us. We are days away from our first competitive start and we have a severe lack of firepower. I still support him in making the right decisions but time is against us. If it doesn't work out, I suppose the board or Gary Holt will get the blame
  2. Fair do's. I seem to recall quotes from the club at the time stating they had give him accommodation when he first came up. However, good reason to believe you on that Nothing will come off the Records' "exclusive" anyway
  3. I doubt anything will come of it to be honest. Falkirk and Vaulks signed a legal contract which was agreed by both parties. I'm sure the fact the rent of the flat was included in the deal, balances out any issue of the club underpaying
  4. Fair play to him for that and his gamble paid off in the end. It's easy to do that when you have rich parents though
  5. Still our best full back and gives it much needed width, especially if TT is playing on the right of midfield. I don't think he's necessarily went backwards as a player over the years. He's became a better defender IMO but our systems under Holt and Houston doesn't allow him to bomb forward at will. He's another example of how Pressley got us playing in a system that suited our players at the time
  6. Don't think he gave Houston anything to ponder to be honest. Let down by his defence for the first 2 goals but 3rd goal was a bit of a shocker, even though the back pass from Kerr was ridiculous. We had a trialist goalkeeper on the bench, why he didn't play part of it I don't know. Unfortunately, I don't think Bowman is going get his chance under Houston and there is a few different reasons why Was interesting to listen to Houstons' post match comments about Hamilton and their physicality. He stated we won't face a team like that in the Championship, which may well be true but is he seriously accepting that as it won't matter for our season ahead. Hamilton done well last season but the gap isn't that much between them and us
  7. We desparately need 2 strikers who are going to be our front line this season. Forget Baird, he's a back up at best Have we signed a left back yet?
  8. I don't blame young Grant for his form at Arbroath. He needed a manager who gave him confidence and a platform to play, not one who was probably out his tits Grants delivery from set pieces is second to none. Hopefully he can kick on this season
  9. Pre season tour in next few days and no one, including the players, knows what's going on. In reality, we have a bang average striker on our books, with the fact Botti is more or less away Houston surely has a few things up his sleeve?
  10. Anyone any idea who leads our scouting for the first team? Has Houston or any of the coaches went beyond any games in Scotland last season to look at players The manager has knew since January, possibly even before, that we were losing our best striker but we still don't have anyone tied up
  11. Considering we won the play off, it's not exactly remarkable that I can't recall him. Add to that, with the fact he probably ended up back in centre midfield in that 2nd leg
  12. What's his strengths as a striker, I can't really recall him at anytime last season? I'm of the opinion that successful teams should have 4 strikers who all have different strengths.
  13. Houston as a manager, does his business earlier than most, therefore I hope he has his eyes open. Full time and under physio must be understood
  14. A loan move for him more than likely I would think. Hopefully Houston doesn't grudge him it this year again
  15. Suppose someone from Hibs had to get close to Sibbs, at the 5th attempt
  16. He should be a great signing for you guys and its a win win situation. Who is he likely to partner in defence? Surely not Buchanan
  17. As long as he can stop pussy shots from the 18 yard box and not cost couple of games a season, then I shall be happy. MacDonald going frees up a massive 75-80% in wages to our next goalkeeper
  18. Eddie May moved DB to right back for the sake of his career. A move that didn't go down well at first but totally necessary. I hope DB manages to get his career back on track
  19. More than winnable game for us but I hope they have the terracing open. That main stand at Crappielow is horrific
  20. Would kick his gran if he had to Decent footballer who had to kick on down south if he had any really hope. It doesn't appear he's done that, so will be interesting to see him handle the SPHell
  21. Bad enough him just been on Sportscene but the fact Michael Stewart is on a TV advert now is too much That accent
  22. I'm pretty comfortable with Bairds' situation. He's still pish at the end of the day. 4 or 5 goals (including pens) isn't bad when he signed but he must improve for us this season
  23. If Houston managed the situation better this season, we would have a ready replacement on 1/3 of his wages
