  1. Very similar to her great leader, who sounds like a cat drowning on these kind of programs
  2. Houston is notorious for doing his business early as a manager. However, if it means waiting around for the best options, so be it. I would like to think a striker has either already been signed or close to signing As for the boy Gallacher, as already stated by fellow posters, what a chance that kid has
  3. Jon Richardson gets on my tits on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown It's quite clear everyone else is on it for a laugh
  4. Will be interesting to see how Queens handle this exodus as such. They have probably had it too easy for the last few seasons, in the sense they've had a settle squad and a lot of momentum. Will be a test of Fowlers' managerial credentials this summer but I'm sure they will be able to attract a decent standard to Dumfries. Queens fans may now know what it's like to lose good players year on year
  5. Agreed on the style of play matter. Loy was tremendous at linking the play and also his running between channels gave us a different dimension going forward. I think a target man would be an option but Loy alongside Baird last season proved we don't necessarily need that Houston has knew for months, probably even beyond, that Loy was leaving. Got to have our faith in him he will deliver the goods.
  6. He has came on leaps and bounds this season but I still have reservations on his defensive side. This is highlighted as a lot of teams target our left side at times this season. Technically good but still has loads to learn
  7. In hindsight, if we had taken it to extra time we may have had a better chance but it still wouldn't have guaranteed us anything. I don't fault the players for going for it at the end, everything was going for us and there was only one team going to win it. A rare break from Inverness and a couple of mistakes all in a mad few minutes lost us the cup.
  8. Its just never going to happen for us is it? I echo the sentiments about the last 5 mins been the worst experience in football. Even Crunchie says that was worse than '97 and he was playing that day! Am sick of the hard luck stories now, I would rather we had got beat 1-0 and never created any chances Watching some of our older diehards at the end of the game on Saturday was tough. It remains the holy grail and we can only hope we might get another chance at it
  9. The positivity of some Falkirk fans on this thread is just too much took take at times..
  10. No a don't as a matter of fact but I would think that tragic day nearly 10 years ago, that they have moved on with their lives The point is, Hughes doesn't need to publicly come out with all the stuff about Gowans again in this the build up to this game
  11. The pleasure of Michael Stewart and Steven "how many times can he interrupt folk speaking" Thompson tonight No wonder no one watches this dung
  12. Exactly and that's the point I was trying to make. The club have the memorial service every year and it is important that we do remember him and continue our tributes. However, this cup final isn't about Craig Gowans. Hughes gave his father the honour of leading out the team in 2009 and maybe rightly so. The club has moved on and so has the Gowans' family.
  13. What's other Bairns' fans thoughts on Hughes coming out in the press yesterday and mentioning the lad Gowans? I fully acknowledge he was the manager when the tragedy happened and that he still has strong feelings for the whole situation. However, does he have to go to press about it and this far on? The club has moved on and more importantly the Gowans family, therefore I feel this is unnecessary from him. Our club do their bit every year to remember Gowans and rightly so but I just feel Hughes digging this up again isn't required
  14. Suppose it was inevitable that Murray was going to move on to a massive club in a bigger league....
  15. I'm not suggesting that his teams don't play against Celtic, I'm stating fact that his love in for them is rather cringey. I expect it to be rather sympathetic this week after what happened in the semi final This is the same Yogi who when we got humped off Celtic 8-1 in 2004 says "They were a joy to watch at times"
  16. I fully expect Yogi to be licking the arse of his beloved team and his big pal Collins in the lead up to this game. The result is irrelevant
  17. The SFA had to throw a spanner in the works somehow for our day William f**k*n Collum ????
  18. I wouldn't do many players the disservice by mentioning them in the same breath as Ross Perry to be honest. He was awful and just sums up everything that is wrong with Rangers' youth system. The fact he was on thousands a week at Rangers is even more sickening Shaughnessy was solid IMO and I think would be decent in the SPL. No thrills going forward but thats only to be expected as he's more of a centre half than full back
  19. I would say 20k is achievable and would be tremendous to see a sea of navy blue It's our time
  20. The new strips are looking great. The old classic design will go down well IMO I still hope the team wear this years away top in the final however
  21. He's cut from the same cloth as the likes of McGlynn in most ways. What a would describe as a cancer in Scottish football He will get a job in the juniors were he belongs
  22. Don't think anyone can argue with those. It's hardly surprising Sibbs has walked away with a clean sweep. A fantastic player and an even better lad. Makes t even better that he is one of our own
  23. The rest of Scottish football have to make a stand here. I hope every other club, including Falkirk so everything to help Meekings and Inverness
  24. Your spot on with regards to his love in with Celtic. He claims he's a Hibee but really he is a Celtic man We played them in the CIS cup years ago and were beaten 8-1. Yogi after the game "Celtic were a joy to watch". Embarrassing stuff
