I'm sure that Lachlan will be the first to admit that he hasn't got every decision right over the years but, looking back, he has made a number of tough decisions that have set us on this path to where we are today. I for one thank him from the bottom of my heart for keeping my club alive, and slowly but surely, with most definitely the guidance of McCall, turning us into a far more professional outfit of late. I'm happy to get my hands on a ticket if I can. Not ever been a season ticket holder in my life and to be fair, would be happy to let one get a ticket before me. Have been following Ayr since 1986 though so hopefully that counts. And my cat died for the cause!

We simply MUST hold onto him for the season. This season could be historic. Worst case scenario, even IF we ONLY just stay up on the last game of the season, it will have been worth it. We need to build up again as a club, with a bigger support, which will take time, but will not happen in league 1. Only a cracking at bigger teams, going for promotion to the top league and playing good football, over time, will see that happen. It has to be sustained. If Shanks goes, the rest might start looking elsewhere too, especially if the goals were to dry up, even for a short period. We have such a winning mentality throughout a gifted squad but, as with any great team, there is usually a figurehead. We must not let him go, not now, it's not time yet. He will go eventually, and he knows that, and we all know that, but he also knows he owes us one. And, make sure you drag all your family and friends to the game on Saturday. Bet on Shankland to score anytime, that should cover the costs of the entry fee. We NEED to support this team, we need this team. It is our drug!

Hopefully he will feed off the rest of the boys. The more I think about it, the more I'm pleased with the point on Saturday. As some have said, there will be teams in our position who will come away with nothing. Not only did we win a point, but importantly it stopped ICT gaining all 3. I think the longer we can stay in the leading pack the better. We definitely have what it takes this season, just need the luck to go with it.
