  1. f**k me that. was. GLORIOUS
  2. They used "Cult" to promote the Saints vs Rangers scottish cup semi final in 2008. And they used "Fuel" by Metallica for the league cup semi the following year Im sure.

The latest one makes a bit more sense if you watch this first. If you're able to sit through it that is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=waAqJ6727Hk
  4. And this is the best thing The Simpsons have done in about 10 years! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkuHx8pZXPw
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVkr9oYsIbo Another trailer. And its probably one the greatest trailers I've ever seen. I'm not really a fan of Florence and the Machine, but the song just fits perfectly. I cant wait for the second series, its probably the most excited I've been about a TV show since the Sopranos.
  6. Must....not....click.....
  7. Absolute nonsense. Its fantastic, especially the addition of A National Acrobat halfway through.
  8. Extremely late notice but I've two tickets for sale to Mastodon tomorow night at the barras. Cant go due to illness, im in Perth but willing to travel half way if needed. £40 ono, just looking to make my money back.
  9. I work in a call centre of sorts. This week the same girl has said that she once killed a spider by screaming at it, and the following day she asked aloud to the office "Why do people on the Isle of Wight all have English accents?"
  10. I dont care what BMTH look like, or if their "scene" kids or whatever. I dislike them because tonight I genuinely couldn't make out any sort of decent riff, melody or lyrics. It just came across to me as screaming noise that looks fancy because they have a good light show and a frontman who runs about a lot. But each to their own, I just personally dont get it with BMTH or that kind of music. And folk throwing stuff at bands, any bands, even Nickelback, are absolute gimps of the highest order. Wait no, its okay to bottle Bullet for my Valentine. Not only is their music shite, but they come across as complete cocks in any interview Ive seen or read. Anyways, Machine Head tonight were absolutely flawless. I've seen them at Download and supporting Metallica twice, but tonight was just over and above anything I had expected. Amazing.
  11. official video. still awful. James doesnt transform into a table either.
  12. Mr Copping has a lot of making up to do after last years let down. Cant see Machinehead headlining, although that would still be more well received than Def Leppard and Linkin Park last year. I'm hoping for Pearl Jam and Rammstein in there somewhere.
  13. Its been so long since I went to any gigs in Glasgow, anyone an idea what times they usually finish? I've got two at the SECC and one at the Barras coming up, would I be able to make the last train at queen street at 23:50 for both?
  14. Dont be so sure, Im a hardcore Metallica fan and even I hate this absolute arse gravy. The first lyrics blabbered on the album are: "I would cut my legs and tits off When I think of Boris Karloff and Kinski In the dark of the moon" Uhhhhhhhhhhh, what? Complete nonsense, thats what. It makes the line "Frantic tick tick tick tock" look amazing. The albums somehow even worse than I thought it would be, there isnt that much Hetfield, and Reeds lyrics dont seem to fit any of the songs. You could interchange them on any of the tracks and I doubt anyone would notice. I'm no proper musician so i could be wrong, but surely Reeds off key and out of time almost everywhere on this? It actually sounds painful and uncomfortable to listen to. I suppose it has some glimpses of great riffs and decent instrumental sections, but that just makes me more angry, why waste time on this horse shit when they could be doing their own thing? Theres one song called Mistress Dread thats really thrashy and fast, I got a little excited, but then in comes Lou to piss all over it. Awful, just awful. I just cant imagine anyone actually enjoying this at all. And their going to be on Jools Holland in a few weeks too. A lot of people know I'm a big Metallica fan so I'm going to have to let everyone know I'm well aware this is abysmal, and dont in any way endorse it!
  15. Good man! I'd never have known if you hadn't posted that. Thats Machine Head, Def Leppard/Motley Crue/Steel Panther and then Mastodon lined up in the next coupla months. That should make up for missing out on my metal fix this summer since I skipped Download, and made the awful decision of choosing TITP over Sonisphere. I stilll cant for the life of me understand why I did that. I've seen Machine Head and Mastodon before, both at Download and then supporting Metallica at Wembley. But that was in the scorching sun down south, so I cant even imagine what Machine Head will be like indoors. And I never really appreciated Mastodon at the time, so up close in the sweaty Barras should be good too. Canny wait.
  16. I'd be really interested to hear that. I dont agree at all that St Anger was completely terrible as some people seem to think. Fair enough most of its unlistenable, the songs are far too long and riffs just seem to be cut and pasted all over the place. But as you say, some of the riffs are brilliant. I love the main Frantic riff, or the title track build up when the double bass kicks in, or the intro to the Unnamed Feeling. Sweet Amber too, when it breaks down into that fast riff before a ridiculously heavy riff kicks, its great. Theres definitely elements in there that could be salvaged to make something interesting.
  17. Fucking hell, thats just awful. Come back Ja Rule, all is forgiven!
  18. Quite new to this gambling stuff, stuck on an accumulator on saturday. if liverpool and newcastle had won then id be £39,000 richer
  19. Aye I mind the Saints -Rangers SC semi build up had a nice wee montage intro with "Cult" playing over it. Fitting that the worlds most evil sounding band be used for the worlds most evil football team. And they used Metallicas "Fuel" for the CIS semi a year or two later. Theres definitely a metal head somewhere at BBC Scotland!
  20. The whole Slipknot Sonisphere show from Sunday is on youtube. The endings so sad
  21. I went through it this morning coming back from kinross and it was just absolutely mental. Ive been driving for 10 years this year and ive never experienced anything like it. It took me 2 hours to do a 15 odd mile trip, had to get folk to help push me 3 or 4 times since ive got a rear wheel drive, which is just a nightmare in the snow. Looking back, Im still shocked I managed to make it all the way back to my flat!
