  1. I would have been happy with us signing Nesbitt before last season. He always 'seemed' like he was decent. Now he seems utter dugmeat, also, Hetherington is possibly one of the softest midfielders I've seen.
  2. And rightly so, he's been told "sign or piss off" Personally I'm now not that fussed about us signing him. As you guys have said he was pretty gutless and had no fight. Our midfield on Saturday outfought your midfield pretty unequivocally so whilst he would bring experience I'm not sure he would bring the hunger and desire we have at present.
  3. Smith was involved in 2 of the goals, rarely lost the ball and got plenty of joy down the left but carry on.
  4. Would have been genius if Martin had rattled mackie in the face when he skelped the ball after the 4th.
  5. Yep, I wouldn't take any of your guys over ours at the moment, we have still to strengthen further too. Even Euan Devenney who has been criticised was outstanding yesterday.
  6. He sounds like a broken man already. Rambling incoherently at times there.
  7. Our biggest issue pre season is scoring goals but we are creating a ton of chances so if it clicks up front, and it has too at some point we will give someone a doing. Could happen Saturday
  8. This entire thread needs binned and started again. It's a pretty grim read.
  9. Agreed, and it did work in that instance. But playing an attacking mid at LB didn't work so well, and cost us points.
  10. We had an attacking midfielder shoehorned in at LB last season. And Rhys McCabe, our best CDM played CB for the majority. Even when our supposed 1st choice CB came back from injury. We also had a striker playing RW for loads of games. Murrayball.
  11. He did indeed. To an extent. Ultimately he failed to get us promoted even with the best squad of players we have had in many years. Sadly the issues described on this thread seem very familiar. His post match interviews are exactly the same stuff he spouted when we lost or had a shabby draw. Just don't expect miracles. He is very much unproven at any level above L1 and his failure in the playoffs last season when he shat the bed big time tactically will be his legacy with us.
  12. The Ian Murray effect in full flow I see. At Airdrie no one could hold a grudge like Ian, just pray he doesn't fall out with your best players or you could well see more retirements or his classic move at Airdrie, "contract terminated by mutual consent" Still, I'm sure he will get your squad nice and fit. Also, don't be surprised to see Scott Brown at CB for the rest of the season, Murray likes shoehorning defensive midfielders into that role. I'm sure Scott Agnew will dig out his boots and fill that gap in midfield. Enjoy Murrayball guys.
  13. Yeah it's amazing how you fill your time when you have nothing to do isn't it?
  14. 1. Airdrieonians 2. Dunfermline 3. QoftS 4. Montrose 5. Falkirk 6. Alloa 7. Kelty 8. Clyde 9. Edinburgh 10. Peterhead Based on nowt more than idle guesswork as I sit on a sunlounger in Tenerife.
