  1. Neil Lennon has confirmed that his son Gallagher is training with St Mirren in a bid to win a contract in Paisley. Gallagher, who has already earned a caps for Northern Ireland under-17's, is currently on the books at Partick Thistle and spent time with the first team last season. And Lennon has claimed that he is aiming to step up a division to secure his future at a top-flight side in the future. Speaking to Go, Lennon said: "He started training with St Mirren today, he's 17. St Mirren are going to have a good look at him over the next few weeks. "He played for the [Northern Ireland] under-17s there in November and did really well, they bumped him up to the 19s and was supposed to play in the Euros in March. But he broke his collarbone the week before, so he missed out on that. "He's sort of mixed his education with his football and he did well at school. But he wants to give the football a go. Asked if running from the back of his dad's name makes a career harder, Neil said: "I don't know about that. If he's good enough, he'll come through. "I don't think that's got anything to do with it really. I just think it's harder now, there's so much competition, scrutiny and analysis across all the academies. You have to be very exceptional to make it through now at a big club."
  2. Looks like the lad wants to come. https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sunday-life/sport/glentorans-conor-mcmenamin-ponders-transfer-request-to-force-scottish-premiership-move/a45421957.html
  3. Looking after his club mate when he jumped in to give Strain hauners in front of the dugouts.
  4. I see Morecambe have knocked our bid back for Bedeau. https://the72.co.uk/2023/05/18/morecambe-turn-down-five-figure-bid-for-star-man-who-left-burnley-last-year/
  5. Buddies make five-figure bid St Mirren have made a bid for Morecambe’s Jacob Bedeau. The Buddies have tabled a five figure offer for the 23-year-old. Record Sport had previously confirmed Stephen Robinson’s interest in landing his former defender. Robinson took Bedeau from Burnley in 2022. He knows there is likely to be strong interest and is keen to close a quick deal, if he can. Robinson is now hoping his ex-club will do business after their relegation to England’s League Two. Shrimps boss Derek Adams would be keen to keep Bedeau but has been working with one of the smallest budgets in the Football League. Adams confirmed recently that he doesn't even know what his budget will be for next season. St Mirren are hoping they can still grab a late European push and that would be an added incentive to lure Bedeau north. The Englishman has had senior spells at Aston Villa, Burnley and Bury. St Mirren are also keen on Fulham striker Keiron Bowie and are also looking at Larne midfielder Fuad Sule.
  6. The young guy Stansfield who Exeter had on loan from Fulham, scored hat trick and looked a good bit better than Stockton on Sunday, but as said earlier only 1 game.
  7. Watched their game against Exeter on Sunday (yeah I know) and although they got beat and it’s only 1 game but the defender Bedeau we are linked with looked a good player. Played left CB in back 4 then they changed it and he played centre in back 3. No nonsense, no brain farts and never tried to do anything he couldn’t but as I said 1 game.
  8. Looks like Watt might be finished this season, hopefully not. https://www.irishnews.com/sport/footballsoccer/2023/05/05/news/st_mirren_await_news_on_tony_watt_after_on-loan_striker_suffers_ankle_injury-3258012/

  10. Murray was having a nightmare. Think with Doidge McInnes was just tightening up for a damage limitation job as at that point it could have been anything Celtic wanted.
  11. Heads up for parking on Saturday. After the Livingston game all the cars parked at top end of Murray st opp Main stand had parking tickets on their windscreen.

  17. EXCLUSIVE: St Mirren closing in on Taylor St Mirren are closing in on a deal for Waterford’s Richard Taylor. Buddies boss Stephen Robinson is looking to seal a move for the central defender. The former Burnley youngster has come on to Robinson’s radar from head of recruitment Martin Foyle. The 22-year-old was across to Paisley for a club visit. He is now waiting to see if a deal can be agreed to see him move permanently when the transfer window opens next month. Taylor has also had senior spells at Southend and at Dagenham and Redbridge. Foyle has been a big factor in shaping Robinson’s squad, bringing in the likes of Jonah Ayunga and Toyosi Olusanya. St Mirren had a strong start and now find themselves just outside the top six. The Buddies board are set to back Robinson and his squad as they try to push for European football in the second half of the season.
