  1. There isn't one. Northern Ireland is defined and it's none of this 60% stuff. Scotland does not have a documented route - it is entirely dependent on England's approval. And if you or anyone else thinks that the likes of Starmer or whatever arsehole is leading the other lot is going to volunteer a referendum in Scotland then you're kidding yourself on. As things stand, you get more latitude by blowing stuff up for 30 years than you do by trying to work out what a democratic path might look like. UDI always looks like the preserve of the moron but I can't see how else Scotland can move forward in the event of a clear vote in an election - rather than a poll.
  2. Looks like Cohen has put a skewer through him and popped him on the barbecue.
  3. Of course Braverman is calling for an end to it as she'll be in opposition - you wouldn't hear a peep from her if she was likely to be in govt for another 5 years. Dreadful look for Labour though and easily resolved by adding "at the moment" to the end of the sentence.
  4. Good news for another absolute arsehole as Bannon's appeal against a conviction and 4 month prison sentence is launched into the long grass. https://twitter.com/kyledcheney/status/1788935301060075674
  5. He's absolutely fucking raging but I'll be amazed if he's got the balls to do any talking inside the room - far easier to lie your arse off outside.
  6. Starmer will take anyone unless they espouse left wing views. If they're closer to Corbyn or Abbott than they are to Richard Tice then they can gtf. He's an absolute charlatan. The remarkable thing is that people like Braverman are getting away with the stuff from the "Trump Big Book of Utter Horse Shite".
  7. Blair's party still had room for Tam Dalyell, Robin Cook and of course Jeremy Corbyn. They look positively socialist compared to Starmer and his right wing coalition.
  8. Please yourself but it might be worth waiting to see what her public actions look like rather than her personal beliefs. You've had and you have a massive issue with all religions - that's also fine. But you didn't resign when a practicing Muslim took up post in Bute House - knowing full well the challenges that face many minority groups in a number of Islamic societies. If it's been ok to give Humza the benefit of the doubt, why not Forbes? Can you vote for a Labour party that's happy to have Elphicke but not Corbyn? Alba? Wherever you go in politics just now, you soon run into people who don't align to your precise way of thinking. The Greens on trans rights alienate a lot of people. Lunatics like Rowling and their condemnation of the trans community - same issue but opposite end. The world of politics just now is full of people who can't compromise. Jump aboard.
  9. "Labour" Foulkes will be pishing himself with delight.
  10. Leave the man with his dignity and just let her work with an ID parade.
  11. Regan will wait a long time for a call like that after last week's back-end-of-the-coo pantomime performance.

  13. He was fucking raging at Muslim mayors last night.
  14. An opportunity for the whole country to laugh like f**k at them.
  15. Sunak appears not to have voted for the Tory London mayor candidate.
  16. 650 councillors elected in England at time of posting. Number of Reform councillors - 0. If they keep going from strength to strength at this rate ...
  17. No, he doesn't. He's doing what he always does - making a complete and utter roaring arse of it until he fucks off again. Jedi3 coming soon.
  18. Completely agree with BB Bino. Whatever thought processes were behind this - if any - they worked themselves into a ludicrous position. This "performative" bollocks won't wash - it's an absolutely fucking ridiculous optic to see an indy party actively vote with Better Together. I can't see how anyone at the next Holyrood election is going to vote SNP 1 and Alba 2 after this. They'll either go SNP 1 & 2 or SNP/Green. For a party that has remained pretty marginalised, this was an absolutely mental thing to do. Maybe they feel their principles are still somehow intact. Truth is I suppose that those aligning with Alba are those who feel that Alex Salmond got a very raw deal both from the media and Nicola Sturgeon - particularly the latter. I understand that. None of it gets anyone closer to concerted effort on indy and that's the sad part of it all for people who want that concerted effort to happen.
  19. Certainly don't disagree that perception is key. Herein lies a problem for the indy movement - not just the SNP. The media is extremely hostile to the nationalist perspective and the only outlet to counter that has had to be set up specifically for that purpose. The National is pretty much viewed, correctly, as biased. The rest are getting away with pretending they are news outlets when it's blindingly obvious that the BBC, the Herald and of course the myriad of right wing rags report anything about Scotland in as negative a light as they possibly can.
  20. I'm no sure I agree with this. A huge part of their time in administration since the last elections was taken up by the pandemic. In that respect, their communication was pretty clear and consistent - much more aligned to the better world leaders and a mile away from the catastrofuck across the border. The "fringe" issues are focused on trans rights, net zero and the hate crime bill. Most of these are reasonable enough issues to tackle and were supported by more than just the SNP and Greens. Not the Tories obviously - they want the hate crime bill repealed despite 99% of it being introduced by them down south. But they'd oppose anything and everything. All of these issues are a matter of debate across the world - not just in Scotland. It should be perfectly reasonable to run an economy and do this stuff. But there's a massive culture war running just now and the right wing arseholes are shouting very loudly. I'm not saying they've been absolutely competent but they've not necessarily not been competent because other stuff is happening that's making a lot of noise.
  21. Who knew you couldn't just stand in a court and shout a load of shite eh? Get him in a cell.
