19QOS19
My one is the opposite. We take her to our room to watch a cartoon before bed and used to do it in the morning as well but she's never slept with us. She was unwell last week and I took her in with me. After 5 minutes she was going nuts: "I want to sleep in my own bed!" Definitely a independent wee shite at times [emoji38]

My wee lassie who's now 16 months still likes to wake up in the middle of the night and now usually ends up in with us as we can't get her to sleep back in her cot . Could probably count on 2 hands how many full night sleeps she's had This is precisely the sort of thing that put the whole having kids thing off for me for a very long time...

No idea the amount of times I've told her at 5am that I'm getting the snip . Kids are great mate, got my wee daughter all cute dancing away in the livingroom right now, always a fun watch! Guessing your baby will be a wee bilingual one?

Ideally it will grow up speaking German/Swiss German and English. Poor thing might end up with a heavy Swiss accent when speaking German and a heavy West of Scotland accent when speaking English, which rules out both as being useful in 99% of the world!

I speak a wee bit of German so I'm bringing up our daughter to be bilingual so she watched the baby equivalent to Baby TV but mostly she listen to German Pop music. Funnily enough her favourite is a Swiss lassie called Beatrice Egli, she loves her! Plus she's a wid

The language thing just doesn't seem to be an issue, the kids just get on with it and I can't think of a single case where the kids don't end up fluent in both languages. Mate of mines is married to a Russian and his boy is growing up speaking 3 languages, which to me is fairly astonishing but is just accepted here as being completely normal! Not a fan of Beatrice Egli, but aye, definite wid.

RH33
We are such a lazy country when it comes to language. Bring them up bi lingual is great.

Alert Mongoose
The wife has been away in the States for a week now (due back Saturday) and I’m just about done in! Fair play to those who are able to bring up kids on their own. I think the most frustrating thing is teeth brushing - I’ve had to refrain from shouting STOP BITING THE BRUSH

Technically she's from a Non-EU country but aye, you're right!! For obvious reasons, I am a happy Daddy that my daughter enjoys watching Beatrice Egli on TV as Daddy also enjoys it, she's class

She's here again as her two brothers are off to movie night at the school. (No, I've no idea what it is either - presume they're showing a film or two - but grandson nr 5 was very anxious to get to it.) Anyway I asked if she was going home and she answered "Why you ask that , granda?" "So we get peace and quiet", I replied. Just with that the dog started to bark "You won't get peace and quiet with Bruno barking", quoth she!

++Ammo - Airdrie++
I put this on the "things you want to share" thread but here won't hurt either. My wee girl (primary 7) was made house captain today, and I'm absolutely buzzing for her, so proud.
