BigBo10
Went to Majorca last summer with my two aged three and 18 months. Both were fine on the plane for the three hours it takes.
BigBo10
I know you said not Spain I was just illustrating the sort of time span I’d consider with infants.
19QOS19
Aye I think 3 hours is the max I'd want to travel. Alcudia is the only bit I'd go back to in Spain which may well end up being the choice.

19QOS19
What about Portugal maybe? I was literally just looking at the Algarve. I reckon that would be doable distance wise and it's a country I've never been to as well.

Pretty well guaranteed good weather at that time of year.
19QOS19
Pretty well guaranteed good weather at that time of year. It's finding the balance. 20oc is about the area I'm comfortable with. At that time of the year nowhere will be roasting but hopefully warm enough just for the tshirt to be worn.

Definitely comfortable in the shade anyway. If you want it hovering around 20c it's more likely in October. I think the Algarve has about the best Winter climate on mainland Europe. I had planned to go to a Haven resort as there would be a bit for the wee one to do. But then I reckon she could handle a couple of hours on a plane as she's pretty settled just now. She'll be 2 at the time. Has anyone been abroad with a 2 year old? Good idea? Too stressful? Any suggestions with regards to destination? (Preferably not Spain). Went to Cyprus last year with a 3 1/2, 3 and a 6month old and it was fine. Regardless of the time the flights in the air, it’s the getting there, through passport control and boarding that stews you the most. Once they were settled with their bits and bobs beside them they were well behaved

We went to Porto Santo when Julia was 2. Nice wee Portuguese island, some lovely hotels. Ours was on the beach and had a sister hotel next door that you could use. It’s all include but you get an apartment complete with kitchen and fridge, ideal if your wee one is a bit fussy. 2hrs 45 mins and they are night flights so Julia slept the whole way

Unless there's a Porto Santo that's not part of Madeira.
weirdcal
Alex gave up his dummy on Thursday. Put it in the bin and said the fairies will get him a present.Since then, no fuss no complaints no moaning for it. For a kid that couldn't go anywhere without it I am Ecstatic.

PB 4.2
First time I've done the needy thing on P & B. Not fishing for love, just advice. I have the scan for our 5th child after 3 losses in a row, next Monday. Chromosome checks have confirmed the presence of Patau Syndrome - something we only learned on Monday - weeks after I ejaculated into her. Next week I will almost certainly be comforting my wife and sexual partner. How does IVF work? Is it advanced enough to manipulate the egg/sperm? What about treatment on the NHS, how long does it take? Spleen venting, but anything returned very welcome. #perthshire.
grumswall
been in the hospital all day with the wee one for this. They think she's allergic to the protein in cows milk. She's over 5 weeks now though and it's only came on the past week so a bit unsure about it. It's heartbreaking seing her like that but she doesn't seem in pain thankfully. She's on antibiotics with cream and we're weaning her off the sma and on to nutramigen. Hopefully it all works, her skins rougher than my arse after a night on the Guinness.

Huge strain on marriages. You both need be physically and emotionally strong.
