Well, it's ICW tomorrow night. There was supposed to be a Survivor Series showing at the Walkabout after it, but WWE won't allow it, so that's off.

I'm still excited on an unbelievable scale for this show. It's going to be the best Scottish show to happen in a long time. The crowd will be nuclear as the ICW crowds always are, and the action is going to be balls to the walls and at some points, it's going to drive you into a frenzy.

SO FUCKING EXCITED !!!

I get the impression that the Sheamus/JoMo is giving Sheamus something to do more than anything else, so he's an easy pick for me.

I hope you're right as i don't rate Morrison.

However i wouldn't put it past the writers giving Morrison a win over another superstar who wasn't long ago in the main event scene as a way to try (and fail miserably) at getting him over. :rolleyes:

John Morrison v Sheamus - Surly Morrison has to go over here. I'll o for via DQ. They won't want Sheamus to look any shitter than he has the past few weeks. I Sheamus wins then Morrison will look just awful, it would also pretty much kill off the feud, making it one of the most pointlss feuds in recent years.

I think Survivor Series looks shit. It's basically a vechicle for the Cena - Barrett/Nexus feud. Nothing of any interest except that one match. If they could get away with just charging for this one match then I bet they would.

The video quality on this one is terrible. Lockup and they break. Lockup and a Headlock from Jericho. He holds onto that and then holds on again. Jericho then with the Headlock Takedown and Side Headlock. Jericho into the ropes and he hits the ropes and runs into a Hiptoss. Arm Drags from Storm and an Arm Bar. Sorry, this is badly out of sync as well. I can't do this.

The Infernos vs. The Thrill Seekers - SMW 12/03/1994

Both guys are wearing the same stuff which doesn't make it easy for me to tell who they are. This is the debut of Storm and Jericho in SMW. One of them is noticeable bigger so we'll call them little and large. Arm Bar from Storm to Large. Against the ropes and Large with shots. He charges down Large. Springboard Cross Body from Storm and then a Dropkick and in comes Little. Right hands from Little and Jericho with a Springboard Forearm sending him back in. Suplex from Jericho. That gets a two count. Jericho clubs down Little and in comes Storm. Double Clothesline from the Seekers and that gets a two count. Snap Suplex and a Snap Elbow gets a two count. Flying Clothesline from Jericho. Body Slam from Jericho and then they head up. STEREO MISSILE DROPKICK !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

Squash match. Next. N/A

Chris Jericho vs. Ultimo Dragon - WAR 07/07/1995

The video quality isn't great on this either, but at least I'm not tempted to turn it off. They might want to sort out the tracking from the master tape though. :lol: The bell rings and this thing is off. Lockup and both men with Waistlock reversals. Arm Drag from both men and they both miss Dropkicks and the audience like that. We clip to later in the match. Dragon into the ropes and he ducks a shot, but Jericho with a Spinning Heel Kick. SPRINGBOARD PLANCHA TO THE FLOOR ONTO DRAGON !!! Suplex brings Dragon back in and that gets a two count. Stomp from Jericho and then he heads for the top rope. TOP ROPE SPLASH !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Slingshot Back Drop Suplex lands Dragon on his head and that gets a two count. Sleeper Hold from Jericho and he adds the body scissors. He lets that go and slaps Dragon. Kick and then a TIGER BOMB FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Dragon isn't going to be finished off quite that easily. Slingshot Back Drop is countered and Dragon onto the apron. SPRINGBOARD ... MISSES !!! SLINGSHOT 450 SPLASH OVER THE TOP ONTO JERICHO !!! That was cool as f**k and the audience just didn't react at all ! KNEELING PILEDRIVER ON THE FLOOR FROM JERICHO !!! That looked really nasty there. Dragon now gets back into the ring. Body Slam from Jericho and then he heads for the top rope. Springboard Dropkick sends Jericho to the floor. SPRINGBOARD SOMERSAULT PLANCHA FROM DRAGON !!! ASAI MOONSAULT PRESS IN THE RING !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! FISHERMAN BUSTER FROM DRAGON !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! THE SHARPSHOOTER FROM DRAGON !!! Body Slam from Jericho and then he gets sweeped. LA MAGISTRAL CRADLE !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! VICTORY ROLL FROM JERICHO COUNTERED !!! DRAGON SUPLEX FROM DRAGON !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOOUUUTTTT !!! Jericho now set on the top rope. SUPER RANA ... Jericho dumps Dragon. PLANCHA OFF THE TOP FROM JERICHO ... What an amazing match ! How had I never even heard of this match before ? Apparently this was the match which earned him his spots in the US. Probably all of that crowd mocking that did the business as well as it being a great match. ****1/2

Cactus Jack vs. Chris Jericho - ECW 12/03/1996

Lockup and Jack charges down Jericho and misses a Leg Drop. Dropkick from Jericho. Lockup and Cactus with right hands. Monkey Flip and a Dropkick from Jericho and to the floor goes Cactus. Cactus speaks with some of the fans at ringside. Jericho then lands some right hands. Clothesline in the corner from Cactus and then he kicks at the chest of Jericho. Jericho into the corner and Cactus misses a charge. Springboard Dropkick sends Cactus to the floor. Cactus then gets crotched on the railing. The bWo try and help and that doesn't end well. Both men try for a Suplex. Jericho and Cactus onto the apron and Cactus misses a charge and hits the ringpost. Jericho runs and jumps off of the apron and jumps into a Clothesline. Cactus now has a chair and he hits Jericho with it twice. Cactus gets back into the ring. Neck Snap across the top rope from Cactus and now the bWo attack. Knee to the stomach from Cactus. Cactus now chokes Jericho over the middle rope. Cactus drops his weight across the back of Jericho. Jericho in the tree of woe and then Cactus lands a Running Elbow Drop. Running Baseball Slide Dropkick then sends Jericho back to the floor. Cactus goes out to meet him. Jericho then gets sent over the railing. Headbutt from Cactus. Snap Suplex sends Jericho over the railing. Back into the ring they go and Cactus with the Leg Drop and that gets a two count. Chair on the face, but Jericho throws it at him. SUPER RANA FROM JERICHO !!! Dropkick and a Running Elbow Drop from Jericho and that gets a two count. Body Slam from Jericho and then he heads for the top rope. TOP ROPE SPLASH FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! PULLING PILEDRIVER FROM CACTUS !!! Cactus Clothesline and to the floor they go. CACTUS LAUNCHES HIMSELF AT JERICHO AGAINST THE RAILING !!! BACK DROP SUPLEX ON THE FLOOR FROM JERICHO !!! STUN GUN FROM CACTUS ON THE RAILING !!! CACTUS ELBOW TO THE FLOOR !!! Back into the ring they go. PULLING PILEDRIVER FROM CACTUS !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! GERMAN SUPLEX FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

That was a pretty fun wee match. The first two thirds of it were an absolute mess, but the longer the match went on, the more the two men clicked and they seemed to have a real good thing going. They hit some massive moves and some big spots. Decent match. ***

Chris Jericho © vs. Eddie Guerrero - WCW Cruiserweight Championship - WCW Fall Brawl 1997

The referee looks like a bit of a special needs case here. Lockup and an Arm Drag from Jericho and Eddie claims he pulled the hair. Lockup and a Headlock Takedown from Eddie doesn't get him anywhere. Eddie is getting annoyed with how this is going. Lockup and a Headlock from Jericho and he charges down Eddie. Eddie takes down Jericho and now looks for something of a submission, but then just goes to the Arm Bar. Arm Ringer and then the Overhead Wristlock. Jericho escapes with the Arm Drag. Lockup and into the corner they go. European Uppercuts and chops from Eddie. Jericho gets over Eddie and gets an Arm Drag and a chop. Arm Drag and he goes back to the Overhead Wristlock. Knee Drop to the arm from Jericho. Eddie gets back to the feet and Jericho takes him down. Cross Armbreaker from Jericho and Eddie steps out of it. Jericho keeps him down. Jericho then takes him down again but Eddie gets a two count. Eddie takes Jericho down but Jericho gets a cradle of his own for a two count and then back to that Wristlock from Jericho. Knees to the stomach and Eddie with the takedown and Jericho rolls through as some of the fans chant boring. Eddie flips out and misses a right hand and then lands elbows. HUGE Stun Gun from Jericho. LIONSAULT !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Arm Drag and then back to the Overhead Wristlock. Eddie then heads to the apron and drops the throat of Jericho on the top rope. Dropkick and then Eddie with a Dropkick to the back. Kick to the back from Eddie. Eddie taunts the crowd. Chinlock with two knees in the back from Eddie. Back Drop Suplex when that is broken. Mexican Surfboard from Eddie follows that and then Eddie goes to the Dragon Sleeper after that. Jericho is trying to escape the move. Jericho somehow manages to get to his feet. Jericho counters to a submission and then Eddie lands a European Uppercut and that changes the focus of the match yet again. Slingshot Senton from Eddie and then he works in the Gory Special. Jericho escapes that and gets a Gory Special of his own and then gets planted face first. Jericho misses an Elbow Drop but Eddie misses a Dropkick and Jericho comes back with right hands and chops. Clotheslines in the corners. Jericho misses a third. Leaping Rana is blocked and Eddie gets crotched on the top rope. Springboard Dropkick to the crotched Eddie and both men now on the apron. ALLEYOOP ON THE APRON FROM JERICHO !!! Jericho back into the ring and Eddie on the apron. Slingshot Senton misses and both men look. RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Both men with counters. ROCK BOTTOM FROM EDDIE !!! Powerslam from Jericho and that gets a two count. Kick to the stomach from Jericho. Eddie misses a move. Spinning Heel Kick gets a two count for Jericho. Flapjack. LA MAGISTRAL CRADLE FROM JERICHO ... COUNTERED !!! DOUBLE POWERBOMB FROM JERICHO !!! Eddie now set on the top rope. TOP ROPE SUPERPLEX FROM JERICHO ... COUNTERED FROM EDDIE !!! FROG SPLASH FROM EDDIE !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

The action and the counters in this match were amazing. Eddie Guerrero was especially awesome here as he brought that snap to his offense. ****

Chris Jericho © vs. Juventud Guerrera, Mask vs. Title - WCW Cruiserweight Championship - WCW Superbrawl VIII

Jericho wears the belt when wrestling. Lockup and we have a clean break against the ropes. Hammerlock and an Arm Ringer from Jericho. Guerrera flips out and eats a chop. Guerrera Dropkicks the belt and Jericho wants to take it off now. Forearms from Guerrera and then a Spinning Heel Kick. Sleeper Hold from Juice and Jericho counters to the Hammerlock. Knee to the chest from Jericho. Against the ropes and a chop from Jericho. Juice ducks a Clothesline and gets a Tilt-a-Whirl Head Scissors. Springboard Spinning Heel Kick from Juice to Jericho. SPRINGBOARD RANA OFF OF THE APRON FROM JUICE TO JERICHO !!! Chop knocks down Jericho and now he's looking to be counted out. Juice goes out and breaks the count and then sends Jericho back into the ring. Chops from Juice. Kicks to the stomach from Jericho and now forearms. Kick to the face from Jericho and then a German Suplex misses. Alleyoop drops Juice on the top rope. Springboard Dropkick sends Juice to the floor and then a Body Slam on the floor. Jericho readies the steps and then breaks the count. Jericho runs up the steps and Juice throws him into the railing. Juice comes in and gets caught. MICHINOKU DRIVER #2 FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Juice into the ropes and he gets knocked down with a Back Elbow. Juice drops behind Jericho and gets a Victory Roll for a two count. Jericho is angry. Stalling Vertical Suplex from Jericho and then a Senton Splash and that gets a two count. Backbreaker from Jericho and he then stretches the back of Juice. Jericho is angry because Juice isn't quitting this match. Juice with chops but he runs into a Back Elbow and that gets a two count. Juice now gets set on the top rope. Jericho misses a move, but Juice jumps right into a Falling Electric Chair Drop. Jericho to the top rope and Juice then sends him to the floor with a Dropkick. AIR JUVVY OFF THE TOP ROPE FROM JUICE !!! Back into the ring they go. Jericho tries to get over Juice and gets caught. JUVVY DRIVER !!! 450 SPLASH !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!! The referee seen the foot under the bottom rope and decided that the match isn't over. Jericho attacks from behind with a chop block. VICTORY ROLL FROM JUICE !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Jericho gets a Clothesline and that gets a two count. POWERBOMB COUNTERED INTO A DDT FROM JUICE !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Jericho now set on the top rope. Manhattan Drop from Juice. SPRINGBOARD RANA OFF THE TOP FROM JUICE !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Reverse Suplex from Juice. WALLS OF JERICHO ... COUNTERED !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! WALLS OF JERICHO !!! IT'S OVER !!!

Cracking little match. This was when Jericho was at his absolute best, being a cocky c**t, but he was brilliant at it and wasn't nearly as bland as he has a tendency to be now. Juice was motivated big time, which will come as a shock to those who have only seen him recently. ****1/4

Chris Jericho © vs. Dean Malenko - WCW Cruiserweight Championship - WCW Nitro 27/07/1998

Malenko looks super pissed at this ! Jericho lands a Dropkick and this one heads for the floor. Chops from Jericho against the railing. Malenko sent into the railing. Into the ring they go. Jericho jumps off the top into a Dropkick. Malenko misses a Dropkick but lands some more right hands. Malenko set on the top rope and Jericho slaps him. Jericho sent down to the floor. LIONTAMER FROM JERICHO !!! Malenko finds the bottom rope and gets sent to the floor with a Springboard Dropkick. OVER THE TOP PLANCHA FROM JERICHO !!! Commercial break hits and we come back to Jericho in control of the match. Chops and kicks from Jericho. Running Leg Lariat from Malenko. Right hands and then Malenko runs into a boot. Release German Suplex from Malenko and that gets a two count. Clothesline in the corner and Jericho then lands a Reverse Suplex. LIONSAULT FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! TIGER BOMB FROM MALENKO !!! THE CLOVERLEAF FROM MALENKO !!! Jericho finds the bottom rope. Body Slam from Malenko and then he heads for the top rope. Jericho crotches him up there. TOP ROPE SUPERPLEX FROM JERICHO ... COUNTERED TO THE TOP ROPE DDT FROM MALENKO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... JERICHO GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE !!! Jericho then rolls to the floor and he's digging for ... what is that ? Jericho onto the apron and Malenko then hits the ref. BRASS KNUX ... COUNTERED TO THE BACK DROP SUPLEX !!! KNUX AND DOWN GOES JERICHO !!! THE REF SEEN IT !!! DQ !!! :lol: What a fucking magnificent ending.

That ending added 1/4* to this match. Absolutely brilliant ending to their last ever match. You could sense the desperation from both men and the added anger from Malenko made it more exciting. ***1/2

Chris Jericho © vs. Kurt Angle - WWE Intercontinental Championship - WWE No Way Out 2000

Lockup and a Headlock from Angle and he charges down Jericho. Hiptoss from Jericho and Angle backs into the corner. Slaps from both men and now right hands. Clothesline from Jericho. Chops from Jericho. Drop Toe Hold from Angle changes things, but he then gets dropped over the top rope. Springboard Dropkick sends Angle back to the floor. Baseball Slide misses from Jericho and then Angle comes back with right hands. Head first into the US announce table but then Angle into the post. Jericho then misses a charge and hits the post himself. MOONSAULT PRESS OFF THE STEPS FROM JERICHO !!! Back into the ring they go and Jericho heads for the top rope. Angle crotches him up there. SUPER BELLY 2 BELLY SUPLEX FROM ANGLE !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Into the corner and Angle lands some right hands. Suplex and that gets a two count for Angle. Chinlock from Angle as the fans chant "Angle Sucks !". Jericho comes back and hits the ropes and lands a Double Underhook Backbreaker and that gets a two count. Release German Suplex from Angle and that gets a two count. Forearms from Jericho and then Angle with a Single Arm DDT and that gets a two count. Right hands from Angle. Jericho runs into a boot, but then Angle runs into a Spinning Heel Kick. Bulldog from Jericho. Flying Forearm from Jericho and that gets a two count. DOUBLE POWERBOMB FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Angle rolls right through to an Elevated Wristlock and then the Cross Armbreaker. Jericho then finds the bottom rope. ANGLE SLAM FROM ANGLE !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! Angle now heads for the floor and he grabs the IC belt. WALLS OF JERICHO FROM JERICHO !!! Angle finds the bottom rope. Jericho then kicks Angle to the floor. Head first into the announce table and then right hands from Jericho. Angle then knocks down Jericho. Chyna gets knocked into the steps and back into the ring they go. LIONSAULT FROM JERICHO ... INTO THE TITLE BELT !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

There were still big shades of green from Angle at this point but when you consider how experienced he was at this point, this really was a magnificent effort from him. ***

Triple H © vs. Chris Jericho - WWE World Heavyweight Championship - WWE RAW 17/04/2000

HHH comes out in a super pissed mood. HHH is crazy enough to give Jericho a shot at the title. APA have been hired to watch the back of Jericho as well. Flying Forearm from Jericho and this thing is off. Right hands from Jericho and then kicks. Chops from Jericho. HHH misses a charge and a Clothesline from Jericho and then he lands some more right hands. Kick to the stomach but then HHH gets sent over the top rope to the floor. Baseball Slide misses from Jericho and HHH lands a right hand to take down the challenger. Back into the ring they go. Springboard Dropkick sends HHH back to the floor. Jericho gets his throat dropped over the top rope as we have the crowd drowned out for chanting "slut". That's just horrible. HHH now chokes Jericho and lands some right hands. HHH heads for the floor and drops an elbow on the throat of Jericho. To the spanish announce table and HHH gets smacked. Jericho runs right into a boot. Jericho then gets launched into the ringsteps. Back into the ring they go. Stalling Vertical Suplex from HHH and then he lands a Knee Drop. That gets a two count. Jericho is now bleeding from the mouth. Chops and right hands from Jericho and then a Back Elbow. HHH runs into a boot. Missile Dropkick off the second buckle gets a two count. PEDIGREE ... COUNTERED TO THE WALLS OF JERICHO ... Catapult and the ref goes down. Bulldog from Jericho and then he heads for the top rope. Shane then crotches Jericho and the APA chase Shane to the back. Stephanie throws the belt into the ring. Kick from Jericho. BELT TO THE HEAD FROM JERICHO !!! There's no referee though. Earl Hebner runs to the ring. ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Knee 2 Face from HHH. HHH sees who the referee is and pushes him. Hebner pushes back and HHH pushes him down. LIONSAULT !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!! QUICK COUNT !!! JERICHO WINS !!!

That was a classic moment in WWE history. I don't think anyone really believed that Jericho was going to walk out with the gold, and when he won the belt, the entire place went mental. It was a decent wee fire filled match. **3/4

The Rock © vs. Chris Jericho - WCW World Heavyweight Championship - WWE No Mercy 2001

I have waited far too long to get around to watching this match. The fued between these two guys even before this match was amazing. Lockup and they break. We have the same result and then Rock gets a Headlock. Rock goes behind to the Hammerlock and Jericho gets a Headlock. Jericho into the ropes and he charges down Rock. Arm Drag and an Arm Bar from Rock. Rock then works in a couple of strikes and gets a Headlock in there. Rock into the ropes and he charges down Jericho. Arm Drags from Jericho and he then drops knees on the arm. Wristlock from Jericho. Arm Ringer from Jericho and he goes to work on the arm. Jericho into the ropes and Rock with a Back Elbow. Jericho slaps Rock and then knocks him down with a forearm and lands some right hands. Knee to the head from Jericho and then he chokes Rock on the middle rope. Chops from Jericho. Jericho into the ropes and he almost gets hit with Rock Bottom, and Jericho looks for Walls of Jericho and Rock gets to the ropes. Springboard Dropkick sends Rock to the floor. Kicks from Jericho and then head first into the steps goes Rock. Jericho then drops Rock on the barrier. Back into the ring and Jericho to the top rope. Leaping Spinning Back Elbow gets a two count for Jericho. Elbow to the back of the head from Jericho. Rock comes back with right hands. Flying Forearm from Jericho and that gets a two count. Jericho then with a chop. Rock comes back with chops of his own, but Jericho comes back with a Spinning Heel Kick and that gets a two count. Backbreaker from Jericho. Another Backbreaker and then a Senton Splash and that gets a two count. Rock gets a School Boy for a two count. Jericho with a Dropkick to the downed Rock. More chops from Jericho and Rock into the ropes. Flying Clothesline from Rock, but he then runs right into the Stun Gun from Jericho. Body Slam from Jericho and he heads for the top rope. Rock crotches Jericho on the top rope. SUPERPLEX FROM ROCK TO JERICHO !!! Rock comes back with right hands. Belly 2 Belly Suplex and a Samoan Drop from Rock and that gets a two count. Short Arm Clothesline but Rock kips up and lands some more right hands and sends Jericho over the top rope. Head first into the US announce table goes Jericho and then back into the ring they go. Stomps and kicks from Rock. Jericho comes back with right hands, but Jericho runs into a Clothesline and that gets a two count. Suplex gets a two count for Rock. Right hands and chops again from Jericho. Jericho charges and Rock sends him over the top rope. Back into the ring they go again and that gets a two count. Rock with a Chinlock. Jericho comes back into the match. Jericho misses a Dropkick and then gets Catapulted into the corner and Rock with a Clothesline. Jericho now set on the top rope and he shoves down Rock. Top Rope Missile Dropkick from Jericho. Right hands and chops from Jericho and then a Running Back Elbow and a Shoulder Charge and now a Swinging Neckbreaker. Rana from Jericho and that gets a two count. Kick to the back of the head from Jericho. Back Drop Suplex is avoided by Jericho. ROCK BOTTOM FROM JERICHO !!! That gets a very mixed reaction. LIONSAULT FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! Bulldog from Jericho. PEOPLE'S ELBOW FROM JERICHO ... MISSES !!! Dragon Screw from Rock. THE ROCK WITH THE SHARPSHOOTER ON JERICHO !!! JERICHO REACHES THE BOTTOM ROPE !!! Jericho rolls to the floor and Rock goes out to meet him. Rock now gets the Spanish announce table ready. Jericho tries to get himself back into the ring. Onto the announce table they go. ROCK BOTTOM THROUGH THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE ON JERICHO !!! Rock now breaks the count and lands another right hand and sends Jericho back into the ring. Jericho is in big trouble at the moment. ROCK BOTTOM ... BLOCKED !!! Spinebuster from Rock and now we have it. THE PEOPLE'S ELBOW FROM THE ROCK ... COUNTERED TO THE WALLS OF JERICHO !!! THE ARENA GOES MENTAL !!! JERICHO PULLS THE ROCK TO THE MIDDLE OF THE RING !!! Stephanie McMahon throws a chair in the ring. DDT from The Rock. Stephanie back onto the apron. Rock sends Stephanie into the ring. ROCK BOTTOM ON STEPHANIE McMAHON !!! FULL NELSON STROKE ONTO THE CHAIR FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

It's still an absolute thriller to watch nine years later. The way that Jericho makes his massive comeback after being in trouble thanks to the announce table stuff is amazing, as he seems to find his new lease of life. The match is an absolute epic. ****1/2

Chris Jericho vs. Steve Austin, WWE Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship - WWE Vengeance 2001

Austin argues with the referee and he lands some right hands and now Angle heads for the ring and smacks Austin with a chair. Rock now appears. ROCK BOTTOM ON JERICHO !!! Rock then chases Angle to the back. Both men are down in the middle of the ring. Kicks and stomps from Jericho as he gets up first. Chops from Jericho and then a Flying Forearm and then he lands some more right hands to the grounded Austin. Clothesline and kicks in the corner from Jericho. Austin comes out of the corner with a Spear and lands right hands. Head sent into the top buckle many times from Austin. KICK STUNNER ... Jericho gets away from that but gets sent to the floor. Against the barrier they go and chops from Austin. Austin then drops Jericho on the railing. Jericho then gets sent into the ringpost and this happens a second time and now Austin is exposing the concrete under the mats. Clothesline from Jericho and he saves his own ass there. Jericho now prepares the Spanish announce table. Austin put on the table. WALLS OF JERICHO ON THE TABLE ... Austin uses his leg strength to send Jericho to the floor. SUPLEX ON THE CONCRETE FROM AUSTIN !!! Back into the ring they go. Into the corner goes Jericho but then Austin misses a charge. Austin gets sent into the ringpost again. Jericho now goes to work on the shoulder and then he lands some chops. Jericho misses a Dropkick and then gets Catapulted and Austin with the Clothesline and that gets a two count. Jericho now goes to the Fujiwara Armbar. Jericho now uses the ropes for leverage. The referee breaks it. Suplex from Jericho. Jericho now heads for the top rope. He jumps right into the right hand and now Austin comes back with chops. Jericho rolls through. THE WALLS OF JERICHO !!! Austin finds the bottom rope. Right hands and chops from Jericho. Jericho takes out the referee and I wonder what shenanigans that brings. Back Elbow from Austin. Low blow from Jericho. THE STONE COLD STUNNER FROM JERICHO !!! Vince McMahon is sending Nick Patrick to the ring. Ric Flair now comes to the ring and drags hm out. Vince now floors Flair and sends him into the ringpost. Low blow from Austin and he heads for the floor and goes after McMahon and lands some stomps. Thesz Press and right hands and then the Elbow Drop. Austin runs into a boot. WALLS OF JERICHO FROM AUSTIN !!! BOOKER T CLOCKS AUSTIN IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH THE WCW BELT !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

This was a physical match which was a bonus considering both guys had just been through long matches. They also added some overbooking to try and get the knackered audience to stay with it. It was a good effort at least. **3/4

Hulk Hogan © vs. Chris Jericho, No DQ Match - WWE Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship - WWE Smackdown 02/05/2002

Hogan, like he was for much of this spell, is super-over with the audience. Lockup and Hogan throws down Jericho. Hogan stalks Jericho around the ring and then throws him down again and Jericho ends up on the floor. Lockup and a Headlock from Hogan. Jericho tries to escape with the Wristlock, but Hogan keeps a Headlock. Hogan charges down Jericho. Hiptoss from Hogan and then a Body Slam. Arm Ringer from Hogan and then he works on the arm. Jericho with a rake to the eyes and then he lands a Back Drop Suplex and the fans do NOT like that. Jericho with some kicks and stomps and he mocks Hogan. Jericho misses an Elbow Drop and more right hands from Hogan and some chops as well. Jericho runs into an elbow and heads for the top rope. Hogan with a right hand and he slams Jericho back into the middle of the ring. Right hands from Hogan. Right hands in the corner from Hogan. Low blow from Jericho. Jericho then with stomps and he takes Hogan down with a right hand. Into the corner and Jericho with some chops. Jericho misses a charge and winds up on the floor. Hogan gets sent into the ringpost and then Jericho to the top rope. Jericho comes down across the back of Hogan and then back into the ring. Macho Neck Snap from Jericho and Hogan has felt that plenty of times. Back into the ring and Jericho drops his weight across the back of Hogan. Jericho now takes the tape off of his wrist and he chokes Hogan with it. Right hands from Jericho and then he hits the ropes and tries to drop his weight but Hogan moves and then lands right hands. Body Slam and Elbow Drops from Hogan. Elbow Drop off the ropes and Jericho moves. Bulldog from Jericho and we know what's next. LIONSAULT FROM JERICHO !!! HHH is suddenly heading for the ring and apparently he can't touch Jericho. Hogan is now making the fightback. Big Boot misses and Jericho lands a DDT and that gets a two count. More right hands from Jericho and Hogan is Hulking Up again. BIG BOOT !!! THE LEG DROP FROM HOGAN ... JERICHO CATCHES HIM AND GOES FOR THE WALLS OF JERICHO !!! Hogan doesn't quit so Jericho now brings a chair into the ring. Chair across the back of Hogan. The Undertaker's music starts to hit. SCHOOL BOY FROM HOGAN !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

That wasn't a bad match using the Hogan formula with the usual twists for a big match. **1/2

Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels - WWE Wrestlemania XIX

This was basically billed as a dream match and almost built as such as well. The audience is hot as hell for this one. Lockup and we have a clean break from that. Jericho has some words. Lockup and a Headlock Takedown and a Side Headlock and a quick escape. Lockup and an Arm Drag but that gets escaped quickly again. HBK then has a lie down in the corner. Lockup and a Headlock from HBK and then he turns it to a Hammerlock. HBK with elbows and he hits the ropes. Hiptoss from HBK but then both men kick each other away and we have a stalemate from that. Lockup and a Headlock Takedown and a Side Headlock and HBK manages to sustain a good amount of advantage from that. Jericho fights his way out and then hits the ropes and charges down HBK. Jericho slaps HBK and then HBK drops him with a right hand and sends him over the top rope. Pescado as HBK fakes and slides back into the ring and hits a Baseball Slide. Back into the ring and HBK heads for the top rope. Cross Body off the top and Jericho rolls through and gets a two count. Right hand knocks down HBK. HBK into the ropes and a Spinning Heel Kick from Jericho. Right hands from Jericho. Head first into the top buckle and then a chop from Jericho and more of the same. HBK whipped into the corner and then Jericho chokes HBK. HBK into the corner and then Jericho misses a Bulldog and gets crotched on the second buckle. Figure Four Leglock from HBK. Jericho misses and Enziguri, but then Jericho kicks HBK into the ringpost. HBK into the ropes and then he skins the cat. Head Scissors takes Jericho to the floor. PESCADO FROM HBK !!! WALLS OF JERICHO ON THE AISLE FROM JERICHO !!! Jericho continues his beating on the back on the floor and the massive stadium audience do NOT like that. Springboard Dropkick keeps HBK on the floor and Jericho finally decides to send the match into the ring. Back Drop Suplex from Jericho. Hanging Vertical Suplex then follows that and that gets a two count. Jericho then pulls the hair with the knee in the back. Backbreaker then from Jericho. The cocky cover gets a BIG reaction from the audience and then a Chinlock from Jericho with the knee in the back. HBK comes back into the match with right hands and Jericho rakes the eyes. MASSIVE DDT FROM HBK !!! Both men now back to their feet and right hands from HBK. Jericho then lands the Flying Forearm and kips up much like Jericho and then he does the HBK taunt. HBK kips up behind Jericho and lands the Flying Forearm. Manhattan Drop and then a Clothesline from HBK. Back Body Drop from HBK and he's feeling it now. Right hands from HBK. Jericho runs into a boot. MOONSAULT PRESS FROM HBK !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! We now have a pinfall sequence between the two men. JERICHO ROLLS INTO THE WALLS OF JERICHO ... HBK counters using his strength. Both men now with switches and Jericho gets a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count. Clothesline from Jericho and he sees a chance. Bulldog from Jericho. THE LIONSAULT !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! HBK into the ropes. RANA FROM HBK ... COUNTERED INTO THE WALLS OF JERICHO !!! HBK REACHES THE BOTTOM ROPE !!! Small Package gets a two count for HBK. Double Underhook Backbreaker from HBK and then he heads for the top rope. Spinning Back Elbow from Jericho and then he warms up the band. SWEET CHIN MUSIC FROM JERICHO CONNECTS !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Right hands from both men now. WALLS OF JERICHO FROM HBK ... he turns it into the catapult. SCHOOL BOY FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Shot to the back from Jericho. HBK gets set on the top rope. SUPER BACK DROP SUPLEX FROM JERICHO ... HBK COUNTERS IN MIDAIR !!! HBK to the top rope and Jericho crotches him up there. TOP ROPE SUPERPLEX ... countered. FLYING ELBOW DROP FROM HBK !!! SWEET CHIN MUSIC FROM HBK ... DUCKED ... COUNTERED TO THE WALLS OF JERICHO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING !!! JERICHO DRAGS HIM BACK INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE RING !!! HBK FINDS THE BOTTOM ROPE !!! JERICHO RUNS INTO SWEET CHIN MUSIC !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! REVERSE VICTORY ROLL FROM HBK !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

HBK hadn't found his stride at this point quite yet. Leave it to Chris Jericho to stop this match slipping into lower marks with a stunning one man performance. HBK still went out and performed as well as he could which was fair enough. Still a brilliant match. ****

John Cena © vs. Chris Jericho, Loser Leaves Town Match - WWE RAW 22/08/2005

This is a rematch for what was a really good match which happened at Summerslam 2005. Cena takes down Jericho and then goes mental with right hands. Hiptoss from Cena and then Bischoff sweeps him. School Boy gets a two count for Jericho and then he lands a Dropkick. Right hand from Jericho and then Cena into the ropes and a Back Elbow from Jericho. Suplex from Jericho and then a Basement Dropkick. Jericho then unloads with chops and kicks to the chest. Jericho misses a Stinger Splash and ends up on the floor. Bischoff goes over and makes sure he's okay. Cena goes out to inflict more damage but decides to send him in the ring. Bischoff kicks Cena and then hits him with a low blow on the floor. We come back from commercials and Jericho has a Chinlock locked in. Cena makes a comeback from that and lands a big Back Drop Suplex. Drop Toe Hold and then some elbow drops and choking from Jericho. Kicks to the chest and side from Jericho and then right hands. Cena pushes away but Jericho comes back with a big Dropkick. Cena and with right hands but he runs into the Spinning Heel Kick and that gets a two count for Jericho. Jericho then chokes Cena with the boot. Small Package gets a two count for Cena. Jericho sets Cena on the top rope. Cena blocks the Superplex and lands Jericho on his face. Cena to the top rope and he misses the High Cross Body and this one continues. Cena with a kick and then right hands from both men. Jericho into the corner and Cena with a Running Back Elbow. Cena runs right into a boot. Bulldog from Jericho is countered. F-U ... Jericho counters ... INTO THE WALLS OF JERICHO !!! Bischoff is pulling the bottom rope back. Jericho pulls into the middle of the ring. Cena makes it to the bottom rope. CENA WITH THE F-U !!! JERICHO WITH THE BRASS KNUX TO THE HEAD OF CENA !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! Right hands from Jericho. Jericho sent into Bischoff. CENA WITH THE F-U !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

That was a bit of an epic as far as how it was built goes. They went all out with the overbooking and the stuff with Eric Bischoff helping out was all good as they went to stack the odds against our brave hero. Not an amazing match, but it's a good addition to the set. ***1/2

Jeff Hardy © vs. Chris Jericho - WWE Intercontinental Championship - WWE RAW 10/03/2008

The bell rings and here we go. Lockup and they battle for the advantage in the match. Jericho slaps and now they exchange right hands and get into a brawl. Jericho takes down Hardy and both men exchange. Jericho now with stomps. Jericho with a chop and right hands. Hardy hits his low Leg Drop and gets a two count. Jericho sends Hardy over the top rope with a Clothesline. Commercials and we come back to Jericho in control. Chops from Jericho. Jericho misses a charge and winds up on the floor. Big Dropkick through the ropes from Hardy. RAIL RUN ... JERICHO SENDS HARDY FACE FIRST INTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE !!! Back into the ring and Jericho with a Slingshot Splash and that gets a two count. Backbreaker from Jericho and then he stretches the back of Hardy over the knee. Hardy escapes but Jericho is still in control and he mockingly kicks Hardy. Jericho then chokes Hardy over the middle rope with his feet. Jericho into the ropes and he runs into the Sleeper Drop from Hardy. Running Forearms from Hardy. Bulldog ducked. WHISPER IN THE WIND !!! ONE ! TWO ! KICKOUT !!! Jericho with a Northern Lights Suplex and that gets countered as Jeff turns it into a Backslide for a two count. Swinging Dropkick in the corner is missed by Hardy. Jericho now heads for the top rope. HIGH CROSS BODY ... HARDY ROLLS THROUGH !!! TWIST OF FATE ... COUNTERED !!! LIONSAULT !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! Sitdown Front Suplex is countered. WALLS OF JERICHO ... COUNTERED TO THE SMALL PACKAGE !!! ONE ! TWO ! THRE ... KICKOUT !!! RUNNING ENZIGURI ... MISSES !!! TWIST OF FATE FROM HARDY !!! THE SWANTON BOMB ... MISSES !!! CODEBREAKER !!! ONE ! TWO ! THREE !!!

Another cracking TV match on this set. I loved how the two men had had a few matches to this point, so they were able to counter all of the trademark moves of the other man. ***3/4

Chris Jericho © vs. Shawn Michaels, Ladder Match - World Heavyweight Championship - WWE No Mercy 2008

This is a match which seemed to have passed me by on initial viewing, as everyone called it one of the best matches of the year, while I pretty much shat on it. Lockup and a Headlock from HBK who goes on to do some good stuff. Jericho counters and eats an elbow. HBK charges down Jericho and then misses Sweet Chin Music. HBK misses a charge and then Jericho with shots to the back and a Waistlock. HBK powers out and then misses a Clothesline and Jericho now with right hands. Clothesline sends HBK onto the apron. Springboard Shoulder Tackle from Jericho and both men wind up on the floor. Jericho throws HBK into the ladder, and HBK climbs and jumps onto Jericho. Jericho sends HBK into the ringpost and gets the ladder. Jericho runs at HBK and eats a Drop Toe Hold sending him face first into the ladder. HBK now has another ladder. WALLS OF JERICHO ON THE FLOOR !!! Jericho takes the ladder into the ring and gets a ladder catapulted into his face. HBK sends the ladder back into the ring now. HBK sets the ladder up and goes for the gold and Jericho stops him. Catapult leads to HBK going for the gold again, so Jericho this time opts to push the ladder down and HBK takes the nasty fall. Already I can see why I might be inclined to like this more than I did before. Jericho sends the ladder into the gut and then he just tosses it onto the back of HBK. Another ladder into the ring and it gets set against the corner. Shots to the back and then a right hand from Jericho. HBK hard into the corner. Jericho tries for a Bulldog and gets sent into the ladder, and then HBK just TOSSES Jericho back with the ladder. That now gives HBK a focal point. HBK slams the knee of Jericho into the ladder. Ladder set horizontally on the bottom rope. Knee Drop on the ladder from HBK. Figure Four Leglock from HBK. JERICHO KICKS THE LADDER INTO THE FACE OF HBK !!! That was cool as f**k there. Ladder back to the horizontal position. Jericho then catapults the face of HBK into the ladder. Face first into the ladder goes HBK. Jericho then slams the ladder down on the injured eye of HBK. Jericho now heading for the gold. HBK tries to stop Jericho. Jericho lands on his feet and kicks HBK in the face. Jericho now has the ladder on the ringpost and top buckle faced into the ring. Jericho gets sent onto that ladder and he ends up on the floor. HBK DROPS THE LADDER OUT ON JERICHO !!! HBK now has a ladder set at ringside and uses another one to drop on Jericho a few times. HBK now readies the Smackdown announce table. Jericho is now set on the announce table and HBK climbs to the top of the ladder. Jericho is now stirring. BOTH MEN CRASH THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE !!! Both men back in and HBK to the top rope with a ladder, and Jericho Dropkicks it into him. No way, this would be a cool as f**k spot. Jericho gets pushed down with the ladder. Nah. ELBOW DROP FROM HBK ONTO THE LADDER AND JERICHO !!! HBK is now tuning up the band. SWEET CHIN MUSIC ... HBK EATS LADDER INSTEAD !!! Jericho puts the ladder on HBK. LIONSAULT FROM JERICHO ONTO THE LADDER AND HBK !!! Jericho now has HBK pinned under the ladder and he is heading for the gold. JERICHO GETS PUSHED OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE FLOOR FROM HBK !!! That was a really nasty looking fall. HBK is now going for the gold yet again. HBK GETS A HAND ON IT ... JERICHO GETS IN AND PUSHES HBK AND CROTCHES HIM !!! Jericho is now going for the gold again. HBK is now climbing the other side again. Jericho is now trapped in the middle and Lance Cade attacks. SWEET CHIN MUSIC ON CADE !!! JERICHO HAS HIS HANDS ON THE BELT !!! Both men struggle. Both men unstrap the belt and struggle. JERICHO IS NEARLY LOSING THE GRIP ... HBK PULLS JERICHO INTO A HEADBUTT !!! JERICHO HAS THE GOLD !!!

I can see why this was seen as a great match now. I still thought it was a bit too botchy and stuff to be up there as one of the top two scores. Where this match succeeded was in sheer brutality and physicality. Both men just put each other through hell and you sensed it was about more than just titles. Great match. ****1/2

Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker - WWE Smackdown 13/11/2009

The bell rings and Taker goes right on the aggressive stance. Right hands in the corner from Jericho. The referee backs him off. Taker then throws him into the corner and lands some right hands. Into another corner and then into the ropes. Kick from Jericho and Taker isn't amused. Clothesline sends Jericho to the floor. Head first into the apron and then he drapes the head over the apron and lands a forearm. Leg Drop on the apron from Taker. Taker now works on the arm and that gets a one count for Taker. Taker then kicks the knee of Jericho. OLD SCHOOL ... countered to the Super Arm Drag from Jericho. We come back from commercials and Jericho is in control with right hands. Forearms and kicks in the corner from Jericho and then a choke with the boot. Back Elbow from Taker. Jericho now locks in the Half Nelson. Taker then eats knees in the gut and then a kick sends Taker to the floor and Jericho taunts the crowd. Jericho comes off the apron and drops a right hand on Taker and then sends him into the barrier. Back into the ring they go. Jericho then chokes Taker over the middle rope and then stands on his back. Back Elbow from Taker and then a right hand but Jericho cuts him off and lands some shots of his own. Front Facelock and some clubbing blows from Jericho. Jericho then chokes Taker with the boot yet again. Taker grabs the throat, but Jericho puts a stop to that. Both men now exchange right hands. Jericho into the corner and an Avalanche from Taker. Snake Eyes and the Big Boot, but Taker runs right into the Dropkick and that gets a two count. CHOKESLAM ... countered. Jericho runs right into the Big Boot. Taker goes for the big knee and misses. In the corner and right hands from Taker. THE LAST RIDE FROM TAKER ... countered. CODEBREAKER FROM JERICHO !!! ONE ! TWO ! THR ... KICKOUT !!! Jericho then signals for the end. TOMBSTONE ... that never works. TOMBSTONE FROM TAKER ... countered, and Jericho gets the chop block. LIONSAULT FROM JERICHO !!! Taker sits up and grabs Jericho. THE CHOKESLAM FROM TAKER ... COUNTERED THROUGH TO THE WALLS OF JERICHO !!! TAKER TURNS IT INTO THE HELL'S GATE !!! JERICHO TAPS !!!

It wasn't bad. Once again, Jericho looks like he's done an absolute ton of homework and he manages to counter all of the main offense of Taker, but somehow his OWN offense gets countered and that's what costs him the match. Storytelling folk. Taker was at half speed though and that dragged the match down quite a bit. ***

It basically looks like Orton-Barrett-Cena with a shitload of filler to make up the card. I would actually make Cena help Orton win before bringing him back at Vince's request (he was beaten up by the Nexus so would want to see them get fucked over) as #30 in the Rumble to win a title shot against the champion Wade Barrett.
