Stardog_champion
We should have a wee look at Daniel Gyollai from Glentoran to challenge the floundering Kevin Dabrowski. Dick, Connolly, Matthews, Hamilton and Smith should’ve been released last season

I hope there’s an option to send him back he’s pish wasted some of the budget on that signing he’s just another “Runner” who does nothing of note

Morton certainly had the tactics right, defending in depth, inviting our pressure and striking on the counter. We did what everyone has been demanding and it bit us, at least partially because we have experience at the back…experience that is unfortunately a wee bit slow. Dabo looked excellent, and I wonder if he is a comfortable at RB as RWB, time will tell. Hamilton did a power of work, but needs that second player forward with him. Easton is NOT a #10, nothing against him, but his passion is cutting inside from wide. Pollock looks like Gibson with more experience and provides needed push forward. Brown was somewhat anonymous today, especially replacing Byrne…Connolly seemed to disappear after a bit. I’m a bit concerned about pushing Big Kev to play more on the edges of the box, perhaps a bit too far too fast…and he’s also on an expiring contract. Lots of complaints about money spent on the Club and not the team, but the thing is we have to improve the Club and Starks Park to keep us attractive to players we want to get. A commitment off the field is also a clear commitment ON the field. This team was mostly shaped by IM, and were marking time right now until we can really adjust it. I’m disappointed by todays result, but remember we also throttled Falkirk just last week… Beating Falkirk was all about getting a penalty then holding out. We've got nothing with which to attack sides. Certainly no route back into games when we go behind. We are in serious bother here.

SirJimmyofNic
I hope this new Manager isn't just a yes man for Barrowman and Potter, the feel good factor is definately on the wane, and if they're not careful crowds are going to slide big time

CountryBumpkin
Stadium improvements aside, because its not a contributing factor to how we're playing on the field, we're a very Jekyll and Hyde side at times. Today was the worst of it, out played by a side coached by Dougie Imrie. Again few shots on target, but really what causes that is few chances created. We rely far too much on Easton being our creative outlet, we don't get any creativity or support from midfield because we're stacked with ball winners and not ball players. Pollock has tried to be direct and get in behind and to be fair has got into some good positions, but we're lopsided as Connolly does nothing going forward on the other side. He's like a smaller Josh Mullin but equally ineffective. If we're going to play the ball up to Hamilton, it has to be to hold it up and lay it off as there isn't the mobility around him to make use of flick ons. Vaughan or Smith certainly aren't the players to try and take advantage of that, one's not quick enough, the other isn't capable. Defensively we've again gone for experience but with it comes an absolute lack of mobility and energy. It stops us from being able to play a higher line and make good use of the press we've started to implement. Too many mistakes from experienced players suggests that experience is perhaps overrated when you don't have the ability to match it.

Lewis Gibson looked excellent earlier in the season, but hasn't been given a sniff since being brought on in the derbies. It's a major falling if you're brining on Jamieson, who we signed as a forward, instead of him.

Not enough quality up front and too many ball winners. No creativity. No real leaders to change things. Manager seems out of ideas. Says we are happy with squad..hmm really. Yes on paper a good squad, I agree. With results and performances not a good squad at all. If u can't finish have a deadly striker who creates fear u are too easy to play. How to fix it. Not going to be easy. A chance of promotion really thrown away which is annoying. Don't see where we will improve at all. Don't have a set formation. Defenders too slow and have too many last ditch tackles. Nothing created from wings. No thru balls at all. And no shots on target.?

Collins want's an excuse to revert to 3-5-2 and he'll get it from this.

SirJimmyofNic
Question is, will there be enough money in the pot for the transfer window opening, so that we can bring in what we need, or is the support being fleeced to be spent elsewhere Edited October 5 by SirJimmyofNic

Wardy
The posts from the Falkirk lot tell us all you need to know on how f**king precious they are. Utterly wild how folk can can wound up over a f**king social media post. We are pish, and in danger of falling away at an alarming rate. 7 points from the opening quarter (one game left) is f**king atrocious and unacceptable.
