Last night, I made my own pesto. I'd done this before using a blender, but this was the first time that I'd done it the traditional way. Just as easy and only a bit more time consuming, and very tasty. Had it with fusilli.

Just back from dinner with the family. Had a starter of scallops on black pudding with beetroot salsa, followed by smoked haddock and more black pudding wrapped in prosciuto on crushed potatoes and green beans. The main was without question the best dish I've ever had in a restaurant, just sublime.
