f**k all today - it's one of the '2' in the 5-2. Going out for a half marathon training run having literally had about 60 calories all day was, on reflection, ill advised.

That diet ( and any diet) is s pile of pish. Even more so because you are training for a half marathon. Absolutely daft

Seems to work for me. Lost about a stone in 6 weeks. The training isn't actually that much of an issue, I think that was the first time I've very attempted a run on a fast day tbh. Guess its horses for courses though, if you see and feel it working then why not keep it up? It's not as if the non fast days are an orgy of gluttony and shite food...

Are you going to keep it up for the rest of your life though? You would have been better and healthier eating well for seven days of the week and training lots.

That's the thing I've really noticed with it, even though in theory you can eat what you like on the five non-fast days, I genuinely don't want to be stuffing my face with whatever shite I can, i tend to eat a lot healthier generally than i ever have. I've got terrible willpower, so if nothing else it keeps me on the straight and narrow to some degree.
