Widge
Friend of mines asked someone he knew to get in touch with me regarding jobs. He's in turn had a couple of positive chats with me and as such passed my details on to others within his organisation who are better placed to help me. Feeling good about where this might go, maybe a job could soon be in the offing, then again maybe not.

Shotgun
My late and not very lamented grandma-in-law used to love regaling us with tales of mass murder, petty robbery or lack of courtesy, which she'd heard about and would always finish with "And I hate to even mention this because it isn't relevant but he was black" Reminded me of this line at 2:35 Edited June 26, 2014 by Shotgun

Richie95
Ended up scratching the side of my car by hitting the side my wall today, which is going to cost me £300. Plus, the gig I playing tonight was cancelled. On the bright side, at least I have a half day at work today.

Bully Wee Villa
Just found out that in the 1880s there was a team called "Clyde FC" that played their home games in Aston, Birmingham! DA Baracus
Was told last week that my contract would not be getting extended when it ran out in a couple of weeks (the 11th). Had a meeting today at half 4 where I was told that they were terminating my contract immediately but that I would still be paid until the 11th. Was asked to hand over my staff badge then had to gather my 'personal belongings' before being 'escorted' off the premises. In effect I've been put on 'gardening leave' for 2 weeks. I'll keep an eye out for Declan Devine.

Sounds like you're best off out of there.

Didn't even get the chance to say goodbye on his last day, get the usual leaving gifts, cards etc. utter scumbags. At least he has the pleasure of telling them to get to f**k when they had the cheek to show up for his leaving night

Lisa Cuddy
I saw a woman barging her way through a crowd with a pushchair today. Before you judge her harshly, you should know that she was pushing her boy as quickly as she could away from a crowd of smokers sitting in a row at the entrance to the hospital. Seven of them to be precise. And only 8 legs between them.

Lisa Cuddy
Don't they have guards that roam the entrances to fine folk for smoking outside hospitals and doctors? They do but I've only ever seen them in two of the hospitals in Glasgow, not at the one I'm at now. Even when I have seen them, they tend to stick to certain areas rather than patrol the entrances. They're probably a bit scared to tell a group of amputees "you can't smoke here, pal. You'll have to take your wheelchair and your drip stand 500 yards away to the pavement". They should bloody well fine them though.
