Terpstra 2nd, Thomas 3rd. I don't even think he had fully committed when he initially went. He seemed to kick a little bit and got the gap, then no one would chase and drag everyone back so he got away. He's been a pleasure to watch over the years and his time-trialling has been flawless to say the least. Brutal as ever, with the added peril of the peloton being split in two by a level crossing barrier coming down and a few riders playing chicken with a TGV! peasy23 Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Train company SNCF want the riders prosecuted for failing to stop when the barriers came down. Race organisers are saying that the riders did nothing wrong as they were only 10 metres away when they came down and could not have stopped safely, but as can be seen on the video there were plenty who did stop then dodged their way around the barriers. So this could run for a bit yet! kiddy Posted April 14, 2015 Share Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) With the gap between the break & the Peleton being a good 3-4 mins, surely the cop knew of the impending arrival of the train & should have stopped the whole pack? As it was, only a group of about 20 made it through clearly & held back from attacking, to allow a regrouping in the subsequent km's.
