peasy23
Froome timed it to perfection today to take the stage win and the overall title. He had 18 seconds to make up on Van Garderen and left him for dead in the last 2k, he was 17 seconds up on the line and the time bonus saw him well clear.
kiddy
Good stage on the Tour de Suisse today, finished with a monster climb. Good win for Pinot & nice to see Pozivivo back racing.
printer
Good stage on the Tour de Suisse today, finished with a monster climb. Good win for Pinot & nice to see Pozivivo back racing. Cracking climb at the end. Thomas looked strong and Dumolin did well to restrict his losses. Bizarre crash after the line in the women's Tour of Britain. Armitstead won, seemed to lose concentration and piled into a few individuals who were standing in the road. She got whisked to hospital - hope she's OK.
Desert Nomad
Thomas or perhaps even Dumoulin will take the Tour de Suisse in the ITT. Bizarre having a race in Switzerland so tame, only one proper mountain stage and it was in Austria. Saying that, great victory by Pinot on a climb far more difficult than anything seen at the Dauphine or will be seen at the Tour. Nothing between them on the big climb, with Contador getting away on the descent. With Froome looking good, hopefully fireworks in July.

Musketeer Gripweed
Bouhanni will beat him instead. It does make it a bit more interesting now anyway. I am going for a bit of French this year for yellow as well.

buddie06smfc
Team Sky going all out for Froome with their line-up this year, no sprinter. I fancy Degenkolb to do well in the sprints now that he'll be the sprinter for Giant-Alpecin. May have a punt on him for points classification.

Good shout for Green & may be the best contest, with Sagan, unless Cav or Bouhani can dominate the sprints.Sky's eggs not all in one basket, this time, though. With Porte as back up & Keonig to help in the mountains. G/C could be anyone from four. The most open for years.

Musketeer Gripweed
Watching that Armstrong documentary on Netflix at the moment, been meaning to watch it for ages. Amazing how he got away with it for as long as he did, the UCI should be getting emptied, the same way FIFA are at the moment. They obviously must have known it was going on. To think, I used to defend that cock. http://fantasycycling.roadcyclinguk.com/default.aspx Anyone fancy a slice of that?
BalticSaint
Not Procycling but the biggest youth road event on the UK calendar is happening in Paisley on the 12th July The British Cycling National Youth Circuit Race Championships Almost 400 riders from over 100 clubs across the UK competing in the closed road circuit around Paisley Town Centre Live music at the Cross and at the Paisley Arts Centre and plenty opportunity for a few beers as well There's a decent chance of some Scottish winners as well in the Under 14 and Under 16 Boys and also the Under 16 Girls It's rapid action. The National Youth Series has had average speeds of over 27mph for the under 16 Boys http://www.paisley2015.org

Brian Cookson, the new UCI chief, is trying to clean up cycling but he's got a tough job. The UCI was run by Hein Verbruggen and Pat McQuaid during the PhArmstrong era. Doping has been rife for decades but it got a lot worse when they ran the sport. The big problem is that a lot of teams are run by ex dopers or employ ex dopers as Sporting Directors or coaches. There are lot of other sports which need to deal with doping, especially tennis which has very little out-of-competition testing.
buddie06smfc
Brian Cookson, the new UCI chief, is trying to clean up cycling but he's got a tough job. Is he really though? He should have set a precedent with Astana but he failed to do that.
Bishop Briggs
Is he really though? He should have set a precedent with Astana but he failed to do that. Astana should have been kicked off the World Tour but other teams are just as bad. How about Tinkoff-Saxo, formerly owned and run by Bjarne Riis? The Danish Anti-Doping Agency made more serious allegations recently. Steven De Jongh, key member of Sky's managerial team, confessed to doping in 2012. After leaving Sky, he joined Tinkoff-Saxo. Btw, do you think that Sky, who employed Dr Geert Lenders (life ban for doping riders) in 2012, is a clean team?
