kiddy
Cancellara struggling at rear of peleton. Van Sommeren & Ten Damme off back. Wondered why, but saw the posts on the crashes.
kiddy
Saxo & Astana trying to get a split after that corner
kiddy
Think Sky & BMC were wise to it though & shut it down sharpish.
kiddy
Just witnessed the crash, bad yin, high speed, over a fair distance. Might be a few abandons tonight.
kiddy
Surprised at Saxo driving it, fair enough staying at the front, to keep AC out if trouble, but they've surely got bigger stages to think about. Bennati doesn't really have it for the sprint at top level.
kiddy
Can't see Cancellara being I. Yellow tonight. Off the back of the peleton @ 35 secs. Wi 18 km's left. Edited July 6, 2015 by kiddy
kiddy
Just been watching the undulations, wi the sprinters being detached, leaves it open for Sagan or dare I day Thomas?
peasy23
@DavidWalshST Four riders forced to abandon following crash: Simon Gerrens (OGE), William Bonnet (FdJ), Tom Dumoulin (Giant) and Dmity Kozontchuk (Kat). Bonnet looked to be in a very bad way.
Desert Nomad
Just been watching the undulations, wi the sprinters being detached, leaves it open for Sagan or dare I day Thomas?Sagan shouldn't really be anywhere near the front up the Mur, Thomas an outside possibility, Froome definitely in the picture. Etixx might be involved with Stybar and Kwiatkowski. Valverde an obvious favourite. Almost forgot about Purito, another who loves this type of finish. kiddy
That climb there thinned it right out. Dan Martin another if he's there.

kiddy
Purito wins, a good 2nd from Froome, takes 10 off Nibali & 17 off Bertie. + bonus
kiddy
Porte not riding as Sky's back up option anyway, surprised they've given no time gap from Purito to Froome!
kiddy
Going by Spanish telly, DM's right, I think Froome IS in Yellow
Desert Nomad
Froome in yellow by 1 second. Tony Martin unlucky as f**k.
kiddy
Chapeau Spartacus, comes in 11.40 down. Poor Tony Martin, still out of Yellow by a second.

Sarto Mutiny
Hmm. As excellent as Froome was today, I am not sure Sky want the hassle of defending a yellow jersey every day from now until Paris. It might not be a huge shock if they let Tony Martin (or someone else who isn't a GC contender) nick a few seconds and the yellow jersey, so another team can have the bother of trying to defend it until the team time trial.
