The BoD elected, and most fans agreed, that the best interest was retaining JMcG. It provides instructive guidance to Falkirk’s BoD, in that it might be ineffective to change horses unless the budget to renovate the team is available to Ray’s replacement. Budget to renovate the team? We just need someone with a bit of tactical nuance who can motivate and get the best out of what we have first and then at the most add a couple in january. Any half decent manager should be able to get this mob top and win the league comfortably considering the standard of opposition. Not sure I buy that, and neither do a decent number of FFC fans, based upon comments. It sure looks like Ray tried to pick piece he thought were good and then weld them into a team. The results of that have been variable, and certainly show some weaknesses. The biggest risk of Ray’s Frankenstein monster of a team is not getting to #1 and then facing a playoff where who knows which form shows up. Here’s a question for you...of the 20 halves of play by FFC in League One this year, how many were good or better?

He started off playing a diamond formation which was never going to work and that cost us points at clyde and airdrie. We have now at least moved on from that . However his tactics still let us down. Classic case was at starks. Two up and cruising and yet does nothing to change things to match the change you made. Any manager worth his salt wouldve done that and we would be two points better off and top of the league.

Heavy pitch, Linlithgow team well up for it against our 11 that shit the bed every time someone puts up half a fight. I certainly wouldnt be overly confident . One of the best playing surfaces around. And it's grass.

Your best bet would be the Railway Bar but 20 people and its packed. No its not. Between the Star and Garter at the station and the ground - about a 10 min walk - you have 12 pubs. Add in the Bowling Club and the Rose club it is a decent wee pub crawl. IMHO the best pubs are Platform 3 and the Black Bitch or the Old Post Office if you are wanting to see some football on TV. -

bairn88
Anyone know how high that wall actually is on Braehead Road? If it’s a clamber for tickets will it be watchable over it for the unlucky many who miss out or is it not really an option

In late November I'd still expect it to be heavy never mind how good it is. Hope you have the under soil heating on too could be a cold snap.

I just dont have any faith in mckinnon motivating these players. He hasn't been able to do it against, clyde, raith second half, airdrie, peterhead away, when up against a little bit of opposition.

Someone said they couldn’t get the blue seats again seems that wasn’t true. Hope they got rid of the bird mess at the same time? That was a lot of nonsense. Clearly just ordered a batch of white seats that they were determined to use up before getting more blue ones in

Reckon Falkirk will get 1000 - 1200 tickets. -

Bairnardo
There's a space opened up on Senor Bairns shoulders as I cant make the game. Apply via DM, include own height weight and looks (out of 10)

Stadiums and teams we do not play at normally. Good day/evening out bit of banter and the thrill of a cup tie. Nothing better ! There used to be a good league cup set up late 60's early 70's teams from each division in sections 6-7 teams per section. Played at the start of the season with the later stages played over the next few months. Did away with pointless friendlies. Good days out at new grounds and got teams division ready for the league games.
