Whitnail
Stories about people putting drugs or razor blades or whatever in Halloween sweets are some of the oldest urban myths going. Cracked did an article on this. Basically, it happened once in the US (one guy doing it to his own son for predictably awful reasons). Since then it's just been BE A WEAR territory with no basis in fact.

I thought that's exclusively what BE A WEAR territory was. Scaremongering about potential scenarios that almost with complete certainty, won't happen.
MarkoRaj
That's the worst one yet imo. In what fucking fantasy land are drug dealers giving out swedgers for nothing? philpy
Bugger, will deactivate my account later then. Had enough of it, I posted a rant about people speaking about Xmas already. One of the wife's friends thought it would be "funny" to post an Xmas countdown on my timeline every day. She turned up to visit tonight, she brought two pairs of Xmas socks as a "present". They went straight in the bin outside. -

So someone had a light-hearted laugh and gave you a useful present which you could have given to charity if you didn't want, but instead you binned it? Edit. I hope the people you told to BE A WEAR have a better sense of humour. Edited September 28, 2015 by Cardinal Richelieu

MarkoRaj
BE A WEAR It's mental because people are literally sharing photos and statuses so that other people can see. Why would anyone ever put anything on Facebook that they didn't want in the public domain. Attention seeking weirdos
Zetterlund
The worst thing about this is the guy who posted it is pushing 40. Now it's official! It has been published in the media. Facebook has just released the entry price: £5.99 to keep the subscription of your status to be set to "private". If you paste this message on your page, it will be offered free (I said paste not share) if not tomorrow, all your posts can become public. Even the messages that have been deleted or the photos not allowed. After all, it does not cost anything for a simple copy and paste

Very much this, if Philpy's victims are anywhere near as thin-skinned as him then I'd expect to hear of a few murder-suicides in Wallyford soon.
