nelsjfc
Think the third season has suffered a significant drop off in quality, probably as a result of trying to churn out too many episodes, gets the American balance between comedy and sentimentality spot on. The last bit of this. Think they have dealt pretty well with the kids growing up as well. The "You're still that 8 year old I fell in love with" moment was excellent last week.
yabass
If there's a better sitcom than Modern Family currently airing, I haven't seen it. Agreed. I think this show's main strength is its great characters. All of them, kids included, are worthy of commendation.
Sherrif John Bunnell
I love this show. Wee Luke is a genius. IMO only Parks & Recreation comes close to it in terms of U.S. comedies right now.
Raith Against The Machine
Wee Luke is a genius. Funnily enough, the lad who plays him is in Mensa.

saint dave
Modern Family and Community are the two best comedy shows in ages IMO.

Sherrif John Bunnell
Pick TV (Freeview 11, Sky 153) are showing the series from the very start every weeknight at 8pm. The pilot episode is about to begin. Well worth a watch if you've never seen it before.

TheScarf
It's a fantastic show. Cam and Phil are both brilliant characters. I'm glad it's getting the success it deserves.
MattBairn
One of my current favourite shows. Cam and Phil are my 2 favourite characters, although they all have their moments.
nelsjfc
Phil is terrific. I think the "straight" characters in each family- Jay, Claire and Mitchell - play their parts really well. Hopefully it can keep up the high standard from the first three series, they have handled the kids growing up pretty well so far. Gloria having a baby will change the dynamic a bit, but hopefully the "jumping the shark" moment is still a few series away.
Cityfan
Phil is my favourite as well. I'm watching at US Pace at the moment, keep an eye out for the book of "Phil's-ospohy" in tonight's UK episode, it's amazing Edited October 12, 2012 by cityfan
Sherrif John Bunnell
Good first episode. I thought the "flash forward" at the end was really well done.

Raith Against The Machine
Luke's first demonstration of magic in the latest episode had me in fits earlier.
Cityfan
I want a copy of Phil's-osophy. Me too! Dance until your feet hurt. Sing until your lungs hurt. Act until you’re William Hurt. If you love something, set it free. Unless it’s a tiger.
groaninjock
The scenes where they were dropping Haley at college had me crying with laughter - Phil's t-shirt and his face after he took it off had me in stitches!
dave.j
I think this letest episode was one of the best so far. jay and Gloria at the parenting class was hilarious, but Cam as usual steals the show.
