Internet Porn

Anyone else think that the amounts of very easily accessed porn sites containing extremely graphic images of rape and violence against women and children has now got totally out of control?

I'm all for freedom of the press and the internet but I'd hate to think that young kids are watching some of that stuff and coming to the conclusion that some of these practices are perfectly normal and acceptable.

They would have to go looking for that sort of material. Maybe because I visit the most boring of sites (this one excluded) but I have never came across violent porn, or any porn for that matter. Unless I decided to go and LOOK for it. So they will only see it if the WANT to see it. They won't stumble on it by accident. I remember the days when 9 out of every 10 emails contained spam for porn sites. Now there isn't so much spam (compared to the past).

That's true... But young kids are naturally curious, and apart from GingerSaint, they won't have any difficulty finding sites with women being gang bang raped and knocked about a bit, just for good measure.

As I said earlier I'd hate for them to form the impression that some of these practices are perfectly acceptable.

Isn't that really up to the parents then?

Why do you use the word "rape"? I think you are just talking about hardcore porn.

As xbl said, it is up to the parents to have parental controls on the computer.

I understand the difference between rape and hardcore porn and believe me, the violent rape scenes are not hard to find. Have another look!

So many kids are now getting netbooks etc, as presents, and they can very quickly figure out how to reload them and then watch whatever the hell they want.

Precisely what I would have done at that age!

Parents should really just monitor them. Tell them to get off the computer when the parents go to bed and have the computer in the living-room or hall and not in their room.

My mum never really bothered and my PC was in my room and thanks to that I fucking love masturbating to some dirty bitch getting rode sideways in a bathroom of a smelly one bedroom apartment.

if you don't want your kids looking at bad stuff on the internet don't let your kids use the internet.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's the responsibility of the parents to put controls in place so their kids can't view this stuff. Some MP came out a few weeks ago saying something along the lines of porn sites should be be limited, restricted, regulated strictly....in case kids view it. If new legislation aimed at this is for the benefit of children only, then that is an incredible waste of Parliamentary time and effort (and money). Parents should be responsible for what their kids look at, not anyone else.

To be honest I am a fairly frequent visitor to such sites and not once have I come across (I know, ha ha) rape scenes.

Also, I would like to voice my disappointment at this not being a recommendation thread.

Leaving a jazz mag in the bushes and watching which sad sack down and out picks it up is fun for all the family. :D

I do agree with the OP to an extent there seems to be a lot more 'hardcore' stuff on some of the streaming sites, its just a case of avoiding it.

Yeah, I agree. It's not so bad when the murdering stops shortly before death, but that doesn't seem to happen often enough. :(

I'll tell you what the real problem with streaming porn is. When you're going about your business and out the corner of your eye you see an advert along the line of GROW AN 18 INCH PENIS TODAY and some guys chode inflates like a balloon into a banana boat. Total boner kill.
