flyingrodent
I can smell the stench coming off Ibrox from here. And I'm in Lanzarote. On a related note, there's a Rangers bar on the shore here called the Bluebells. It's shut.
G-MAN
PMG now believes that the money being raised is likely to be used to fund an insolvency event (administration). If this were to happen it would preclude the salary payments on the 27th. PMG is being rather glib as he called it right that RIFC had exhausted all funds, including the £2.5M directors emergency fund, as of 10 February. He consulted 3 financial experts, of he same calibre as Nash & wallace, who all concluded that administration was inevitable, followed by liquidation to break the player contracts. If his allegations are correct, we should see an LSE statement in the coming days. The current company model is not sustainable. Wallace dug in his heels and asked for Laxey to back a controlled MVL. The £1.5M will fund this insolvency event.
Granny Danger
I'm absolutely disgusted by the cynicism on this thread. This £1.5 million injection is great news for the club. It will probably give the players the impetus they need to complete the treble and see record number of Season Tickets being sold for next season. It is also great news for Scottish football because a second administration/liquidation of the club would spell Armageddon for the game north of the border. In other news there is absolutely no truth in the rumour that certain P&B accounts have been hacked.
Romeo
So does whoever hands over the 1.5 mill become maim creditor when the brown stuff huts the rotating cooling device?

Luvvin' that typo, Romeo, given that the Kraydales are allegedly the shylocks supplying the loan.

mikebhoy123
So does whoever hands over the 1.5 mill become maim creditor when the brown stuff huts the rotating cooling device? Probably not - What might happen is that the club can issue and hand over the shares for the £1.5m and the shares can be sold into the market as soon as possible - the problem with that though is there is not a lot of volume traded in RFC ( less than 300k shares per day ) so it would take a wee while to get rid of 5+ million shares ( without damaging the sp ) Although the sp is low just now ( which will suit someone giving out the loan - as they'll get more shares ) the sp might become unstable PDQ if all this imminent admin is to be believed

BossHogg
Only Rangers fans should fill this survey in. Would be pretty poor if fans of other clubs did it! http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/6350-ready-to-listen Done....

Hipster Dufus
Was it not Dundee United ? I'm assuming he used the term "Wee Hibs" as a nod to their auld name of 'Dundee Hibernian'. I think they are still the same Club though, unlike, well, you know.....
