hellbhoy
The 'F' word is not bigotted, so why should the 'H' word be? I'm sure I seen No8's clapped oot Skoda Octavia and can be known from his personally chosen number plate on it "B1 GOT".

forever_blue
It has no sectarian meaning on here for the faux offended wankers whom you have defending ..... THE Rangers fans ,... total fannies one and all. I am defending no one , I am simply stating it is a word with sectarian connotations, how you can argue with that I don't know but get over it .
nsr
I'm fairly sure Rangers fans decided the H-word was offensive and sectarian to them for no reason other than they weren't allowed to call Celtic fans by the F-word.
No8.
So posts the rocket who thinks victims of crime are fair game towards the Celtic support, and do fucking try your damnedest not to pollute the thread with your bigoted bile by creating a long paragraph about it ffs. The homophobe making up more bullshit. Unless of course the celtic employees who put the club before the welfare of children were the victims of crime.

flyingrodent
Still no answer on the reason behind hearts being labelled mini h@ns by some celtic fans and how it has nothing to do with their reputation as the proddy club of Edinburgh amongst their support Because they sing similar songs and engage in similar behaviours, thus acquiring a reputation for being basically Rangers fans who can't afford the bus fare. As I said before, this is stupid and childish but then, it's football innit.
flyingrodent
Ok so in a football context ? "Yids" just spurs fans or a derogatory term about Jews? You're getting desperate now. -
flyingrodent
It's a simple fact amongst English football fans it is a term used towards spurs fans , however outside of football it has a completely different meaning and can be taken offensively. Similar to the word h@n when used in football it can be harmless and some use it through ignorance. But in Northern Ireland and Glasgow , some use it as a remark towards Protestants rather than simply just rangers fans. Anyway this arguement is beyond tedious , the fact some celtics fans can't accept that the word simply has some sectarian baggage attached to it baffling. It's fine for Spurs fans to call themselves by that term. It's not acceptable for anyone else to because it's an actual, for-real ethnic slur. But we're in deepest, dumbest "How come black people can use racist epithets but I can't paint them on the side of Dwight Yorke's house without getting arrested" territory here, and it's a land inhabited by zoomers and cranks, so let's leave quickly.
flyingrodent
and I displayed a video earlier which showed Hearts fans being told 'to go home you ****' so this proves that it is not just Rangers fans, the fact that Hearts were once (and still by some) seen as a club with protestant roots is not exactly a coincidence, when your fans sung this, the meaning was clear. I recently had a Dundee fan PM me with a message 'you are a *** and I feel sorry for you' does that make Dundee fans bigots? no, it makes him a bigot, last season I was called an orange ***tard by a Dunfermline fan and an Ayr fan, is that just a term that fans of other clubs use for Rangers fans too? no, again this is just another example of isolated bigotry, it really is not that complicated. This one about the Hearts fans has been answered above, Ted. No need for me to reiterate it. Orange whatevers is certainly a sectarian insult, as you're well aware.
Austin McCann
In my experience celtic fans are far and away the biggest bigots in Scottish football. Maybe they should build a bonfire and burn me, my family and my friends.

That is not the point I made, I never mentioned anything about spurs using it themselves whilst others can't. plenty of English fans describe playing spurs as playing the "yids" harmless football banter or use of a derogatory word.?The fact is the word outside of football has a completely different meaning and use. Similar to that of h@n in Northern Ireland and west of Scotland's religious divide. Edited September 11, 2014 by forever_blue
No8.
So again I will ask when the phrase kill all h@ns is dubbed on a wall in a republican area of Northern Ireland it is aimed directly at just rangers fans and not the Protestant/unionist community? Just accept the word has sectarian links and move on It has been painted on Protestant Churches in Northern Ireland as well as Orange Halls but the bigot apologists probably believe every Orangeman and Protestant in Northern Ireland support Rangers anyway

You then have the apologists and lets be honest they are past masters at defending the indefensible.
TheLip69
My only objection to you Rangers fans labelling me a hvn is that I, and everyone else I know (including Rangers fans), have only ever know the word as a term for Rangers fans, historical nomadic tribesmen or a derogatory term for German soldiers. I fall into none of these categories and would thank you not to class my protestant relatives as any either. I would dispute that. Back in the '60's and '70's I remember singing "go home ya h**s" at any and all opposition fans, especially if we were winning. I remember Airdrie fans singing the same thing at us as we slipped away from Broomfield after a defeat. I am left wondering just exactly when it became associated solely with Rangers fans.

cyderspaceman
The "The Rangers Fans" will be annoyed with the BBC again Rafat Rizvi's reappearance in the Rangers narrative was so strange, and such a throwback to earlier slapstick at Ibrox, that you half expected him to be dropped off at Murray Park in one of Bill Miller's tow trucks driven by a porn star from a Paul Baxendale Walker movie with Mr Custard, the unwitting clown, blowing up balloons in the passenger seat. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29153590 Edited September 11, 2014 by cyderspaceman
