Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

charles green had the opportunity to create something new, a lean, more street wise rangers, but all he did was build a faux spl team to play in the 4th tier to appease the supporters and media. when fergus mccann took over at celtic he put the club's interests first investing, raising money and molding celtic the way a modern football club should be and he had no interest in appeasing the masses.

a very brave and visionary man maybe not given credit for what he did at the time, this was during rangers nine in a row as well which could explain.

the mccann model should have been close to what charles green should have done.

But Green didn't fail to follow a McCann model in error. Green had no interest whatever in the type of Rangers he was creating in terms of the long game or an ethos, whereas McCann did with regard to Celtic.

Green's sole interest was in quickly generating income so that he could take some.

Lamenting Green's failure to emulate McCann is pointless, because Green had no intention of doing that.

The fat pie munching dog whistler has probably took more cash than any spiv has took in their short term grab a grand tenure, they may have more framed share certificates but the former sunderland striker has claimed teddies and No 8s season ticket cash and stuck it in his hip.pocket, the over performing charlatan/seal that he is.

Shurely shome mishtake!

"In a letter issued to shareholders of Rangers Football Club today (30 March, 2000), David Murray, the Club Chairman stated that Rangers is aiming to raise up to £53.1 million in cash, before expenses, through a Rights Issue."

"....the Board considers the Rights Issue to be in the best interests of the Club, its shareholders and supporters."

Shareholders of what?

It's almost as if Murray International didn't know about the company only operated the 'pretendy, no legal personality, exists on an ethereal plane' club.

Which one?

2nd one was my favourite but not really on topic for here.

Was it Tommy Smith at Liverpool who nicknamed Emlyn Hughes 'Thrush' because he was an Irritating C***?

Bennett is the Pie and Bovril Thrush.

only downside being he will be quite pleased about being regarded as an IC.

So I won't post this.

was watching the game. top notch stuff from Hamilton Accies. Dons were disappointing on the night.

then quietly sobbed myself to sleep.

So how is Aberdeens new dawn coming along?

The guys on Radio Scotland had them down as serious title contenders a few weeks ago.....

Probably a lot better than the 2 1/2 year old 'new dawn' at Ibrox. Soon to be replaced by a perpetual dark arctic winter

You sheep what are you like, the last few years finishing below Motherwell (2nd place lol) and now getting scudded by Hamilton.

The impressive run of form continues as Aberdeens resurgence gathers strength and they enjoy their best form since the early 80's.......

I'll take it in preference to my club being liquidated and being replaced by a vehicle designed for the enrichment of a long cast of spivs and crooks.

Who wouldn't?
