"Rangers are angry that Raith Rovers are selling tickets directly to the Light Blues' fans for next month's match at Stark's Park because the Fifers are concerned about Rangers' financial position and fear they may be left out of pocket."

It's called Corporate Governance Berrz.....

... it's also a sign of the true level of distrust your club/company can expect for the forseeable future.

Pleasing.

boycott and a protest coming soon at raith rovers I think

Don't see it, but I don't think it takes a genius to think the upcoming first-ever-match between the Ibrox Allstar Tribute XI and 'them' could see some serious trouble.

I belive that all the SPL clubs last year did the same thing to Hearts, and there was no a peep in the press about it and I do not think that Hearts complained. The Daily Record is shilling for the Rangers PR department again.

support the team.hahaha ,but what about the company that runs the club that pays the team?

This always makes me think of the banner someone had at Old Trafford for a while and was visible on tv ' 'United - kids - wife - in that order.' The Sevco really need one 'club - company - holding company - ethereal entity that can never die and keeps all titles and wee embroidered stars - kids - wife - in that order'.

I remember Falkirk were the first to stand up against R & C charging us money (5% IIRC) for selling tickets to our stadium to their fans for us.

We told them to GTF and sold them directly.

This would cause untold problems, we were told, which of course never materialised.

Couple of questions: did any other clubs join our brave stance against the twins? And do Celtic still levy this charge on current SPFLP teams?

Aberdeen just raised the price of the tickets for them when they visited.

Dons fans got a discount for the next game to cover the increase as you can't charge different prices in the same stand.

These cretins *still* don't get it, do they? The people running the entity known as The Rangers literally could not care less what they think, as long as they keep giving them money.

"Sack the board" - who exactly are they appealing to? Who is going to do the sacking?

A shot accross the bows of the drifting, powerless ship called the SFA....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30911000

Wath our favourite idiot attempt to belittle it on the basis of the author... sooooo predictable.

A good piece but I disagree with a couple of points.

It seems like an age since Ally McCoist spoke of the need to have Ibrox cleansed of the characters who kept it mired in chaos.

McCoist was one of these 'characters'.

He has given the fans a vision of a better future. God knows, they deserve it.

Naw they don't. They 'deserve' nothing.

"We are stardust, we are golden and we've got to get ourselves back to the Big Hoose."

With apologies to Joni Mitchell, whose prediction that Celtic would go out of business - "They paved Paradise, put up a parking lot" - somehow never came true.

I don't think everybody did. Hibs certainly did for a New Years Derby without the option to collect tickets from Easter Road and given the vagaries of the Xmas post this meant that they were charging us £6 for special delivery as well.

It pissed a lot of people off at the time.

Hearts sold away tickets direct to Hibs fans for the next fixture and then things returned to normality.

Given that this money is "football debt" and thus effectively secured against administration it seemed like a cheap shot by the Hibs board and I'm glad the squabble is over.

Some other clubs such as Partick actually helped by voluntarily giving a cut of the away gate to Hearts

Rangers board admits they are running out of money, faith rovers decide to sell directly to save them any possible future non payments.

What's the problem? Unless rovers have been dickish in their statement then I see no issue, just p&b-ers getting their knickers twisted...

So a convicted SA criminal organises a public boycotting of STs of a member club. He buys shares on the back of that boycott and calls for an EGM. The member club publicly raises questions about his suitability to be a director/chairman of the club.

The SPFL and the SFA do what ... ?

Meanwhile the SFA are concerned about whether or not Mike Ashley may be circumventing their rules on dual ownership ...

Glad to see integrity is alive and kicking .... Ah dinnae ken whaur tho ...

A few months ago you were on your high horse about dual ownership issues, now you are implying that it's a trivial issue.
