OldCo and SevCo have for a number of years been like those muppets you see on Reporting Scotland.

You know the ones. They are sitting in their (normally OF) shirt with a fag in hand, telling the reporter that they "Dinae know whit tae dae, coz a cannae afford the lecky or gas cerd, and the weans are needed trainers for school. The government are tae blame coz ma dole money just disnae stretch anymare."

Sounds so sad sad.gif

Until you look behind him/her and see "the weans" playing an xbox on a big, f**k off television, whilst the other half is either texting her pals on the new iphone/ipad, or he's trying to get the remote aff the weans coz Chelski v Man Utd is on Sky Sports HD in 5 minutes and the pizza delivery guy will be there any second.

You give these people a £1000 and what will they do? Pay off some credit card debt? Nope. Fill the fridge with healthy food? Nah. Put more than a fiver on the leccy/gas card? Hell no. They'll blow every penny on luxuries and then blame everyone else when it's all gone.

Sounds familiar..............dry.gif

It's a great life I must admit.

Anyway, I've got to go, my mate Billy wants a game of FIFA on xbox live, and my missus is away for the McDonalds.

:D

You currently have

Alexander, Bocanegra, Broadfoot, Wallace, Goian (away on 1yr loan), Black, McCulloch, Shiels, Kyle, Little

who are all internationals - plus

Cribari, Faure, Sandaza

who are all foreign pros.

Yet you're still looking to sign 4-5 more established players in addition to them and your clutch of U21/U19 internationals and youngsters...?

Other senior players may well leave in the near future. Like I said, we're a long, long way off our eventual aim which is a squad to win the SPL. We're bringing in a mix of players including some cheap foreigners - obviously there have to be some doubts about how they will work out. Anybody who thinks we have some kind of supersquad costing megamillions is kidding himself on.

Dubai-ity? Looks a strange mix that'll benefit from the fans buying in.

That only accounts for 52.4% of the shares in the new club and makes no mention of what percentage of shares in the club the other Board members or the "anonymous investors" hold (including Chucky himself).

Arif Naqvi and Imran Ahmad the cricket fanatics hold more than half (27.8%) of the 52.4% of shares for which ownership names have so far been revealed.

Is it possible that Green himself has the remaining 47.6% of shares for which no names have been revealed as yet?

BBC Scotland can reveal that a Dubai-based businessman is currently the single largest shareholder in Rangers.

Arif Naqvi, chief executive of private equity firm Abraaj Capital, owns just under 18% after agreeing to invest £2m back in June.

Naqvi is the man behind Blue Pitch Holdings, but BBC Scotland understands that he has a personal holding in the club.

Rangers boss Ally McCoist also owns a stake in the club.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is expected to announce his £1m investment next week, securing around 9% of the club.

The way was paved for that investment after Rangers ripped up their deal with retailers JJB Sports in favour of Ashley's Sports Direct company.

Charles Green took control of the club on 14 June, announcing his intention to secure a number of investors from across the globe.

He has always insisted that no one individual will own more than 15%.

Other investors include Imran Ahmad and Richard Hughes, from Zeus Capital, who own 9.8% each,

Gers boss McCoist has also bought into the consortium and owns a share of about 4.5%.

Scottish-based businessman Ian Hart, who was part of the Blue Knights group, has a shareholding of 1.3%.

The shares will be diluted, though, after Green launches an IPO share issue allowing fans to buy into the club.

IPO Definition:

Initial Public Offering. The first sale of stock by a company to the public. Companies offering an IPO are sometimes new, young companies, or sometimes companies which have been around for many years but are finally deciding to go public. IPOs are often risky investments, but often have the potential for significant gains. IPOs are often used as a way for a young company to gain necessary market capital.

Warren Buffett recommends avoiding IPOs, for the following reason: "It's almost a mathematical impossibility to imagine that, out of the thousands of things for sale on a given day, the most attractively priced is the one being sold by a knowledgeable seller (company insiders) to a less-knowledgeable buyer (investors)."

The major question is: how many bears are going to be rushing out and snapping up these shares when (if) they are released, given that they sat idly by when Sir Minty Moonbeams pleaded for assistance (and he was a hero to their masses at that time)

The other question is how many are going to be daft enough to hand over their cash to that chancer Green and his cronies.

Multi companies will ensure the surplus (and then some) is creamed off prior to any administrative event .or fire sale ...

Roll on Xmas ,,, let's hope this thread get a big fat juicy present in the shape of a well stuffed turkey ...

Another Celtic supporting accountant/tax/share issue expert .

By the way , was the last share issue not restricted to people that owned shares ?

Indeed it was. And how much money did all those "people" receive back for all the shares that they owned between them when Rangers Football Club folded? ...they received a big fat 0 pence to share between them. wink.gif
