Florentine_Pogen
The followers of SevcoRangers2012 seem to be slightly more petulant and aggrieved than is normal for them. What could possibly be causing this rise in blood pressure ? Oh yes, it's because their club is a fucking joke.

Ranaldo Bairn
Is it true "Rangers" have had to amend their statement, removing the bit about DU insisting they were only 2 years old? Minter.
bennett
With Norman Crighton being told to do one, does anyone think that Laxey will be selling their shares - maybe to a certain sportswear retailer?

Florentine_Pogen
Is it true "Rangers" have had to amend their statement, removing the bit about DU insisting they were only 2 years old? Minter. Do you mean this bit ? - RANGERS has received today the decision of the SPFL Compensation Tribunal and are content with the fee Dundee United have been ordered to pay for the training and development of Charlie Telfer who was at the Club for a period of 10 years. The payment awarded, which was significantly higher than Dundee United’s final offer, vindicates the Club’s decision to take the matter to a Compensation Tribunal. Dundee United introduced a late argument stating Rangers should only be awarded compensation for the training and development of Charlie Telfer for 2 years instead of the 10 years that he was with the Club. They argued the Club in its current form has only existed for two years. It is disappointing Dundee United tried to pursue this tiresome, legally incorrect and provocative argument given that it has been repeatedly confirmed by the football authorities in Scotland and beyond that administration and liquidation of the companies that owned the Club did not break the continuity of the Club’s history or its record of honours won.

Yep, that'll be the bit. The clue's in the phrase "legally incorrect" - as the remainder of that final sentence reminds us, their "continuity" has been recognised by parties with vested interests and those who rely on those parties for information. One place the matter hasn't been settled once and for all is in a courtroom and, unusually for them, they're terrified of dragging it in front of the actual Law. Using the phrase "legally incorrect" would have had m'learneds all over the place popping up like meerkats for the chance to have a crack at it - especially as the actual, legal issues which have been dealt with appear to bear out the "two clubs" argument.
