Aye, and a game which will still draw the biggest gate in the country that weekend!

Considering Celtic are away it would be hilarious if you didn't. But still most of your support won't be bothered with this where as every other team in the cup that weekend will have a much higher percentage of their fans turning up.

Nice diversion, you slate our fans attendance then accept that we'll still host the biggest gate that weekend.

As for EVERY other team having a MUCH HIGHER %, aye based on what, perhaps a small increase last year?

Attendances at Scottish Cup ties are still nowhere near what they used to be. There's a similar picture down south with both Cup competitions, until the latter stages.

The excuses you give for you and your fellow supporters for not wanting to turn up to support your team. You lot are only loyal and WATP for the big games where you can shout and sing your bigot words .

Do you really think there are tens of thousand of Cove Rangers, Stranraer, Stirling Albion or even East Kilbride fans hiding?.

What capacity is Ibrox, what capacity is Tynecastle, Dens or Starks Park and see how much percentage of the stadium is used compared to capacity that weekend?. You also ignore the fact that along with Celtic, fake Rangers are by far the most supported team in Scotland yet only a small fraction of the tens of thousands actually bother to go to games, where as a higher percentage of the smaller teams support will turn up.

All you have is a stadium more than twice the capacity of the fourth largest and many more fans than the smaller teams, but in reality fake Rangers are poorly supported at games.

Probably won't be more but I'd guess Tynecastle won't be far behind Ibrox that weekend in terms of attendance

Considering non attending fake Rangers season ticket holders not being included in the attendance for cup games should give a much more honest count and Tynecastle will be near to full it is possible.

Fake Rangers cup attendances have been rather pathetic this season like less than 17,000 bothered to go along and support them vs St Mirren recently. What happened to fan power, don't they realise the more that turn up for games the more progress the club can make.

Now when I think about it having this game televised is going to lose fake Rangers more money through more apathetic fans deciding it would be best to watch it from their couch or a bar stool instead of turning up to support their beloved club.

Supporting The Old Firm or 'Rangers' is the easiest ride in Scottish football, that's why there's loads of them - it's a bit easier to head out the door when you're likely to see a few goals and a win on your way to another trophy as opposed to the rest of us who make the effort despite the fact we're about to see our teams scudded into yet more mid-table mediocrity.

A mini-bus full of Shire fans is worth more than two stadiums full of monobrowed arseholes.

The ground being two thirds full for a cup tie between two of the biggest clubs in the country. I think most can see that it was a poor turnout.

Do you know why this was a lower than average turnout from Hearts fans, I do know Celtic fans filled their end?

These were unusual circumstances but it did not last, while for Rangers its normal almost every game.

Nice try, but fail.

Shire fans are brilliant, guys like Mad Bill who stuck with their team while they struggled badly for years during the 00's. Saw them a few times, even up in Elgin and Montrose they would turn up and they are a noisy bunch. Puts the thousands of fake Rangers hoards to shame.

The Rangers international fc, still gets decent numbers to be fair.

But that's so that in 30 years time they can regale young fla's in the ludge about how they were there for the last game.

It's not about supporting, it's about the fear on missing out.

But it really isn't normal for almost every game is it? Our support has been remarkably resilient to the despair of the last few years. I'm not sure what the point is you're trying to make here? Yes I agree that our crowds dip in the early rounds of the cup.

Iirc, remember a cup tie against St Johnstone back in the early 80's with less than 9,000 inside at Ibrox.

That said, Raith can take a huge following to Easter Road in the Ramsden Cup final, far in excess of their usual support, Aberdeen can take a massive support to Celt*c Park for a cup semi final, that would dwarf their average home gate. Are these fans not interested in supporting their club away at Falkirk or Killie on a Tuesday night in the league?

As for non-league clubs, of course they are going to attract more interest in a 'glamour tie' against league opposition. How that compares with Rangers fans turning out for a tie shown on TV versus Cowdenbeath or Arbroath? I think it's a fairly obvious reaction. It isn't a slight on either club, but it doesn't have the same pull as Hearts or Dundee United at home for example.
