Nightmare
Talk about being exiled. Russia's FNL is a brutal league - shite crowds, shite stadia, now playing through winter due to Russian structural change, and a lot of really long journeys (3 Siberian opponents and then another 3 even further afield - Vladivostok and Sakhalin are basically in Japan). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014%E2%80%9315_Russian_National_Football_League Check that map. Savage Henry
Aye because Russian isn't full of nutjobs! Maybe he's going as a diplomatic peace envoy? No crazier than sendingTony Blair.

Tulloch Gorum
Still, at least he might get to actually play some first team fitba. So that'll be him, Gauld, Watt and Jack Harper from the next generation all playing outside the UK. That's surely a good thing.
BarraJag
Would be brutal. Is this one of the leagues where you fly to nearly all your matches?
Nightmare
Would be brutal. Is this one of the leagues where you fly to nearly all your matches? Yeah. Feruz's new team playing away to Luch Energiya or Sakhalin will require a 9 hour flight. For a league game.
RandomGuy.
He's a player who's already falling behind his peers, and needed a decent standard of regular football. Totally bizarre decision which will just hamper him even more, would be surprised if he's there longer than a couple of months before joyfully requesting an end to the loan so he continue fannying about in the youth squads and accepting his relatively large wages. Pathetic attitude that he'll regret in five years when he's severely underdeveloped
banana
Possibly the kick up the arse / next stage of development that he needs. Edited August 25, 2014 by banana
AMMjag
You wonder why the deal would have been sanctioned by the club though, it hardly makes it easier for them to monitor his progress than a loan deal to a lower league side in England or Italy or whatever would have been. Maybe Abramovich has a link to the club and has done them a favour.
Enigma
I go Vladivostok in football manager now and again. Quality team. Always lol when I draw a Portuguese team of what have you for the 15,000 mile round trip.

Thumper
Why he would think this is a good move. I'll never know Probably something to do with being on absolutely obscene wages. There's every chance he'll be able to buy Somalia by the time he's 25.

flyingscot
Aye because Russian isn't full of nutjobs! I'd imagine spending time in a provincial Russian City is slightly different from living it up around West London.
