Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Cheers @parsforlife and @North West

So the club is run by a mix of Pars United and Fussbal GmbH with a token PST director.

The investors main aims are sustainability, building a training centre and using that to develop homegrown talent to meet the sustainability part?

However, the sustainability isn't going well in terms of annual accounts?

Now, the investors have added a director to be more hands on. Find out why the losses are increasing and pull in the purse strings, due to increased losses? This then impacts the budget for playing staff?

Is that roughly what's going on?

None of us know exactly, pars United influence is becoming smaller, the majority of the board from before have resigned gradually over the last few years and only braisby remains along with main (the pst director) I don't think that's a token position, he's one of the pars united nominees and PST have the single most shares in pars united(note most, not majority).

Those resigning have been replaced with either employees(cook as CEO) or dafc fussball nominees.

We have also taken on non football employees such like a marketing manager and commercial manager with the idea to boost revenue.

So yes your kinda thinking along the same lines as many pars fans

You’ve got to be at it here? Suggesting that paying players based on what they bring to the team is poor for morale? 😂

Yeah. Why would you pay a 30 year more money than a player who's 22 and twice the player of the 30 year old.

Offers we put out should be based on individal circustances of each case, not pigeonholing people due to age and how many games they have played.

The point I was trying to make was experience sounds a bit more diplomatic than telling someone their ability isn’t good enough.
Regardless of what we want to call it, the fact remains that we can’t get the players in the door, and that total shambles over signing a keeper is maybe a wee insight as to why. Something reeks of fish, and I’m not talking about the contents of Baldricks meat pie.
Is it possible that our new owners can see they have made an error with bringing the CEO in, and it’s maybe more costly to get him out again? They must be scratching their heads with the cash outlay and lack of ability on the pitch. We all feel that almost any team in this league who spent the money we have would be chapping at the door of the title.
Anything less than a convincing win today will not be enough to keep the fans happy.

But that didn't get in the way of the signings of Kane, Wotherspoon and Ngywena (and technically even McLean).

Ngywena is the only one who hadn't been with the club beforehand. Wotherspoon was with us last summer over pre season and again this before signing eventually.

Otoo and KRH were the same the season before. It seems to take us ages or to have had them with us in some capacity to be able attract them on a permanent basis.

It’s either that or we simply aren’t even trying to sign anyone else?
what do you think?

Must be a mix of things.

Sorry to be a dick, but that Blackadder classic line is Baldrick's apple crumble, not meat pie.

Your right though. There something not adding up for me. Backroom staff wages have increased and a training ground mainly funded by a grant has cost us in planning and legal costs but  does it add up to losing a million quid every year? The squad is paper thin and we've got no real marqee players.

The loses just seem huge for very little to show for it.

Either it's a back four today of we've got a back three of Hamilton-Benedictus-Fisher... and it's a strong team out, only Otoo, Kane and Todd missing from arguably our strongest XI. If we don't get a convincing win today then it's not looking good!
