A sort of weird critique of 1984, including imaginary dialectics, followed by a slim novella re-imagining it from the 70s. The best explanation i've seen of why Thatcher was popular. The Business by Iain Banks Meh. Well written, well imagined premise and some great set pieces. I'd recommend to anyone interested in American history. I also read France: a short history by John Julius.
