Sons' sorrow

Recommended Posts

He's a friend of mine, he's decided he'll give me two red dots a day to try and wind me up. I'd hazard a guess that around 80% of my red dots are from him for no reason other than it was me who posted.

I can assure you, I'm absolutely raging about it. Pretty sure I'll kill someone soon.

No problem. Hadn't the foggiest idea you were friends, of course.

Just seemed a bit odd that you'd had two reddies in quick succession.

In even more international flavour to our wee club, seems Senegalese right back Amadou Kassarate was playing for our u20's against Clyde. Nothing to shout home about though, young former Welling right back, but certainly entertaining names to read on DFC team sheets!

Get him signed immediately, Stevie. We'll stick him upfront.

there could be a few suspensions coming up; barr, buchy and wright seem to get booked every other week.

Barr served one against Raith, so he should be ok for a wee while.

Him and Routledge are both on nine bookings - inc cup games - the next closest is Willie Gibson on six - who actually served a ban for Stranraer fairly recently.

Including cup matches, Frazer Wright is on 4 bookings, Grant Gallagher, Gregor Buchanan, Steven Saunders and Calum Waters are all on three.

i've read a little more on it, the community payback order seems to be an alternative to jail time. Jail time, for singing a daft song and making a dick of yourself.

Edit to add; the report says that police first noticed him an hour before lifting him. that suggests to me that he was allowed to remain in hospitality. Also, he's been given 9 months to do his 210 hours of service, roughly 6 hours per week.

Im not condoning his behaviour at all, but when we have fans in our end causing hassle theyre escorted out.

Does it not make sense to punish drunken sectarian behaviour as heavily as we can given the massive problem we have with it Scotland?

Well exactly and I imagine this is the point the sheriff was making.

A slap on the wrist doesn't wash when you look at the wider picture. We have to tackle this problem head on and laugh off any plea in mitigation re 'a good drink'.
