aftershocker
I agree....we surely have to see how he is....I seem to recall the total apathy surrounding Jim Lister....didn't turn out too bad
Jan Vojáček
Lets not forget that Joe Colemans loan at Kilbirnie expires on Sunday. Could McLaughlin be cover with Coleman being given a chance?,he seems to have done very well out on loan and it would be nice to see a youth get a chance in the top team.
The Moonster
Give the guy a chance. You're quick enough to criticise Dumbarton fans for getting on the back of the team and here you are slagging off a player before he's even kicked a ball. Apparently he was hoping for the managers job so it's hardly surprising that Shiels has freed him. Give the guy a chance. I'm quick to get on Dumbartons fans backs when they're booing them at home but people are free to put their opinions on here.
sonsism
Rather than signing Mclaughlin I'd have preferred we paid for liposuction surgery for Scott Smith. We shall see how the game pans out though...
bigmacDFC
So, does anyone think we'll see any more comings and goings? I would suggest: Smith, Coleman and McKerracher to go out on loan. Hugh Murray or another centre mid to come in.
sons superhero
Murray training with accies apparently.
Sweet Pete
Going by McNiff's comments on Facebook, I think he's been told he can find a new club.
southernboy
I know not everyone is a fan of Hugh Murray but it was noticeable the difference when he came on last Saturday. Morton at that point had had a spell of pressure and were on top in the midfield. Shuggy shored things up for us and gave us in the edge in the last twenty minutes. I think it's important we can hang on to him. He gives a different, defensive option to counterbalance our attacking midfielders.

O'Kelly Isley III
Sons have a training game against Motherwell tonight. Let's hope A) no-one gets clattered, and B) there are some potential new players in the mix.
George Parr
I take it we're just giving up completely on Ian Murray ever turning out for the first team? We really could be doing with him in the squad at the moment. Edited January 7, 2014 by Consolidate

Out of the two, i would think he's more likely to keep Coleman Smith? Kevin Smith i take it you mean? Scott Smith is the only real defensive cover we have, so dont see any way he will leave

Yes, I did mean Kevin Smith, I think Scott Smith is decent cover.
Jordo1872
Doubt Coleman would be released as there is genuine potential there. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ronald and K.Smith released in the coming weeks as the former doesn't appear to be good enough for this level and the latter has done very little since his arrival. Personally I'd also free Nish but Murray appears to rate him so that looks unlikely, maybe he's a valuable asset for the dressing room in terms of having an experienced head around.

The Moonster
Coleman will not be released. If he is, it says a lot about our youth development process. Hopefully Shug (Shug Shug Shug) will sign soon and we can stop worrying about that. Centre half is the only position I'm worried about.
